No, it's the same here in Australia, spring chickens, except it's an expression that you don't hear much anymore. :)
I should say I haven't heard it "in donkey's years"
Along with "mutton dressed as lamb"

Anymore animal ones. Oh yes "A fish out of water"

(eta: @TootsieFootsie and @SouthAussie, I mean “spring chooks” :D)

I use my elbow to press the button. Not my skin, because it's winter here so it's my coat, either the elbow or the hem.
Not sure how I'll do it when our hot weather gets here.

I know I'll buy a pedestrian button pusher if someone invents one :)

City of Adelaide first in SA to trial iTouch contactless pedestrian button

Another smart idea -automatic crossing signals.
I use my knuckle.
DH bought me two button pusher/door opening gadgets.
copper (Brass?) kind of key shaped things. I’ll find a link
haven’t used them. Gonna gift one to a friend

I thought there would be something.
I must be feeling silly, it's nearly midnight here but I had an idea. I'll buy a skeleton hand to push the buttons with and freak people out :)

Antonio Banderas Tests Positive For Coronavirus on 60th Birthday

"I would like to add that I feel relatively well, just a little more tired than usual and confident in recovering as soon as possible following the medical indications that I hope will allow me to overcome the infectious process that I suffer and that is affecting so many people around the planet," the "Desperado" actor wrote alongside a photo of himself as a baby.

While in isolation, Banderas plans to celebrate his milestone birthday by reading, writing, resting and continuing to make "plans to begin to give meaning" to his newfound 60 years.

"A big hug to everyone," he signed off.

Banderas joins celebrities including Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Prince Charles, Pink, Idris Elba, Lena Dunham, Mel Gibson and Andy Cohen on the list of high-profile names who have revealed coronavirus diagnoses.

Bunker sales surge amid coronavirus pandemic

A Queensland underground bunker company says it's been "overwhelmed with inquiries" as Victoria tries to bring its second wave of COVID-19 under control.
Some Queenslanders, concerned by the possibility of a second wave in their homestate, have made the $20,000+ investment in backyard 'doomsday' bunkers.

Builder Nick Bayard, from Underground Bunkers Australia, has turned his trade into constructing the survival homes which can boast multiple beds, a full-size fridge and CCTV.

I don't get it. Why wouldn't a person just stay inside their home?

That's a good idea. Or carry a cane. It could serve as a stick to beat off people who are standing too close. I haven't seen a manual button for years. In these parts, (ON), you just wave your hand in front of the thingie on the cross walk post. Maybe it's because our fingers would freeze to the post if we actually had to touch it.

Bathrooms are touchless too. You can go in, do your thing, wash up and go out and the only thing you need to touch is the lock on the stall. I expect that's pretty common in many countries.

Here's more info on the population of people who attend:

The average age of rally spectators is 42 and the average age of riders is 23. Put another way, Sturgis is a mid-sized organization made up of Gen Xers and Millennials, just like much of the workforce.

Do you have a source for these numbers? Thank you.

How is the executive order deferring payroll taxes supposed to help the coronavirus unemployment level of those who are not employed? Unemployment can mean not enough food for kids, eviction. God help them.

As many as 85% of independent restaurants may permanently close because of the pandemic by the end of 2020, according to a report commissioned by the Independent Restaurant Coalition.

A grim prognosis for clothing retailers came from Betsey Stevenson, former economist at the Labor Department. Employment in clothing stores is up 202K! But it’s still down 40% compared to last year,” she wrote. “Many of those jobs are never coming back.”

Hospitality and tourism listings on Indeed plummeted 61% compared to last year. “These are jobs that will be hard to see demand picking up with all the restrictions we have,” Indeed economist research director Nick Bunker told us.

Like a previous post said, just trying to cash in I think. I can't imagine isolating one of your family members there for any length of time.

A Washington Man Is Accused Of Breaking The Jaw Of A Disabled Veteran Over A Mask Dispute

"KHQ-TV reported that Cody P. Hansen, 35, was arrested without incident at his home Saturday night and charged with second-degree assault following an anonymous tip to investigators.

Hansen is accused of attacking a 72-year-old veteran, breaking his jaw after an alleged incident July 18 during an altercation in the lobby of the Red Lion Inn and Suites in Kent, Washington.

The victim told police he said something to Hansen’s girlfriend about her not wearing a mask in the lobby of the hotel. The victim said Hansen came to the lobby later that night and attacked him."

The unemployed should be getting unemployment plus the (now) extra $300-400 per week. Most people's rent does not exceed their disposable income when they're working. I'm baffled as to how rent is not being paid. Jmo

Haha, that’s another clue when someone ain’t no spring chicken, when they use or recognize that phrase. :D

Re: the Sturgis age demographic, average age of Mags’s exes=55 to 60, so that’s what I’m going with. :D

Eta:

Now speaking of 60 year old exes, here’s a 60 year old ex I wish I had. :D
