Trumps own words in the link on prior pg. states people come up to him and hug/kiss. Easy enough to prevent that from happening. Then there is the fact that nobody in the West Wing wears a mask in day to day operations. This has been reported on many, many times. So no link.

I very much doubt that the military and law enforcement have been doing any hugging and kissing with the president.
LOL!! I was thinking the exact same thing! :p

I agree IMO yet I wonder if his supporters do.

Dr. Campbell is all over this Trumps' infections already... He's also over viewing I.F.R. for his age group etc.

Yes that is a pic of him walking along a ramp from AF1 to the podium ( he is throwing hats to the crowd you can see) and a pic of him on the podium. Both of those pics he is socially distanced from the unmasked large crowd but directly behind him on the podium, everyone was masked. I don't think his security would expose him to dangers.

I agree that security would not expose him to dangers. But that leaves a huge question about how he contacted this, does it not?

Is it a bit like wearing sunglasses.. I always used to feel more confident wearing them at times. Like I was incognito.
But I also had this idea that no one would be able to recognise me while I was wearing sunglasses and was always surprised when they did lol.

Haha! But now with my mask AND my sunglasses, it's like I'm almost invisible! At least I feel that way at times. Or wish I was, lol.

Did This Maine Town Get ‘Hoodwinked’ Into the Next Super-Spreader Fiasco? — The Daily Beast

“An unassuming red brick building on a quiet, tree-lined street could turn Oakland, Maine—pop. 6,240—into a new hotspot for the novel coronavirus after hundreds of worshippers flooded the Kingdom Life Church there last weekend.

The church’s senior pastor maintains the massive crowds were an innocent mistake. But one town leader worried about a fresh in-state super-spreader disaster went so far as to suggest to The Daily Beast that officials were bamboozled after back-to-back worship events on Friday and Saturday.”

“The service featured controversial 37-year-old Californian Sean Feucht, a “missionary, artist, speaker, author, activist, and the founder of multiple worldwide movements,” according to his website. Feucht has been traveling the country in protest of government restrictions on religious gatherings during the pandemic, as The Sentinel reported.”

Sigh.

Excellent point.

Also, they knew Hicks was positive on Wednesday mid day MOO (she was I'll and quarantined on the plane back from Minnesota)...but Trump did not quarantine immediately..not at all on Wednesday and Thursday MOo

Wednesday, Sept. 30
The president was in Minnesota for a fundraiser at a private residence in Shorewood before heading to a rally at Duluth International Airport that night.

Thursday, Oct. 1
The president hosted a fundraising event at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., on Thursday. That evening, Trump confirmed reports that adviser Hicks had tested positive for the virus.
I think she felt ill Wednesday evening and quarantined on AF1 so she would have had a negative test presumably that morning or would have quarantined earlier surely? The positive test came on Thursday I believe. MOO.

Well, I just hope that this is the point in time where people will start consistently wearing masks when around other people. That this is enough to spur that kind of national action. That this virus can now start properly being put under control ... by everyone.

IMO

Oh no! Someone caught that mask! Hopefully they put it into a sealed glass jar and didn't wear it home.
It was a hat I think. :-)
But still contaminated. I bet they wore it home though. I mean you would wouldn't you? I guess we will have Trump health news daily now for 14 days.

It didn't make any difference when Boris and pregnant Carrie got it so I don't think it will make any difference now. MOO.

The president confirmed Hicks' diagnosis, which was first reported by Bloomberg News, during a phone interview with Hannity on Thursday night.

"Whether we quarantine or whether we have it, I don't know," Trump, 74, told Hannity. "I just went for a test, and we'll see what happens."

He said Hicks is a person who is "warm" with military members and for whom "it's very hard to say 'stay back.'"

Trump later tweeted that he and the first lady will begin isolating until they receive their results.

Trump says he and first lady will self-quarantine after aide Hope Hicks tests positive for Covid-19

bbm. "Whether we quarantine?" Ummm, yes! unbelievable. It appears later after this interview someone had to remind him that he would have to self-quarantine whether or not he tested positive.

Do you have links for this? I have not heard of only the elite getting treatment, I would guess those working on the front line to help Covid patients would also disagree.

I have not heard of patients refused treatment until they can’t breathe either. I know NY for example has an excess of ventilators.

It's just common sense that the elite with endless supply of money and access get the best treatment. You already know Donald Trump gets immediate testing whenever he wants. The rest of us get tests and wait up to two weeks or more for results. I know this because we've been tested and we never were allowed or offered any special treatment based on symptoms alone. The standard treatment is telling people to stay home. They can't and won't be seen by any doctors unless they are symptomatic enough to go to the ER. Spend any amount of time in some online groups for people with COVID.

Do you honestly think a billionaire, a President, a monarch, or heck just a millionaire gets the same medical treatment as the average person anywhere in any country? Isn't that how capitalism works? You get what you can afford to pay for? I have spent decades uninsured and so have members of my family. I assure you we got crappy medical care and I'm positive the wealthy weren't treated the same way. If you have money you can buy anything.

And we have like dozens of stories online and in news articles of first responders getting poor treatment and not able to even access proper PPE to treat COVID patients. This is amply available all over the media. This is just life for everyone all over the entire globe. The more money and power you have the better access you have to everything of any monetary value or worth.

I'm sure Donald Trump is getting better medical care than someone who is indigent with no health insurance who just walks into the local overcrowded underfunded ER.
