What? Unbelievable!

The Michigan Supreme Court on Friday struck down months of orders by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer that were aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus, saying she drew authority from a 1945 law that is unconstitutional.

I live in Michigan and I believe our governor has kept us safe-- she is a strong woman <modsnip>. Right now, as far as I know, Michigan is not a state with a huge surge, thanks to Governor Whitmer.

It’s been crummy. Hard to exercise and my dog is unhappy. I’m still okay so far but every day brings new risks for me when it comes to COVID due to my work. It’s pretty much all work-related risk.

Yesterday I had a new client in and he came in with a mask (older guy) and promptly took it off. He then asked me after a while if I preferred he wear it. I said yes. He put it back on but it was a very ill-fitting cloth mask that he kept taking off or letting it fall below his nose. Air could easily escape.

So I had to wear a mask inside my office for the rest of the day, even after he left.

Stuff like that happens and scares me.

it must be pretty uncomfortable to wear a mask all day - and understand why you have to do it. I just love people who wear the mask -- below their nose-- it makes me want to laugh- it is so silly---and useless!

He's already got the virus. Wearing a mask wont help him now. Come on.

Wearing a mask does not just protect the user. It also protects the people around him.

Ventilator is next. JMO

Possible indeed.

We will see what happens in the coming days and weeks. This is all intense beyond words.

Members should not take it upon themselves to decide that politics is allowed.

Until/unless Tricia, or a Mod or Admin gives approval to discuss any political aspect of this situation, the usual rules apply (no political snipes, debate talks, no election, ballots, Reps/Dems, Constitution, Pelosi, footballs, etc).

Discuss the President's health as it is presented via MSM or information from the WH or the President's medical personnel, and as it relates to his Covid diagnosis only. Let the rest unfold as it happens without dragging politics into this discussion.

Thread will reopen shortly.

(CNN)Former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway announced Friday night that she has tested positive for coronavirus, the latest major political figure to say they have Covid-19 after attending a Rose Garden event last Saturday where President Donald Trump announced his Supreme Court pick.

"Tonight I tested positive for COVID-19. My symptoms are mild (light cough) and I'm feeling fine. I have begun a quarantine process in consultation with physicians," Conway tweeted. "As always, my heart is with everyone affected by this global pandemic."

I happened to tune into the Rose Garden ceremony while everyone was milling around without masks for the most part. KellyAnne Conway and Bill Barr were deep in up close conversation. People were hugging. What were people thinking?

But I did see FLOTUS walk quickly to her seat before the debate wearing a mask. I remember thinking “good for her!” Of course she had it off afterward.

KellyAnne tested positive, so I suspect Barr will too. Lots of older and overweight folks at that ceremony, meaning if this does turn out to be a superspreader event it could be catastrophic. Kellyanne Conway announces she tested positive for coronavirus - CNNPolitics

I see that Kellyanne is the 7th person at the Rose Garden event to test positive.

She is the seventh person at the Rose Garden event announcing Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the supreme court to confirm she has tested positive for coronavirus.

Very possible. From what I can see, there was no social distance between them.

“Trouble breathing”?

This doesn’t sound like mild disease to me. We are told as contact tracers to inform persons that if they have trouble breathing, they need to seek care immediately.
Situation Room statement, “Just tell the truth.”
Mild? Moderate? A few days at Walter Reed? Trouble breathing? Experimental cocktail? How is Trump doing really?

Severe: ventilator, death.
Mild: range of symptoms. Cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose, loss of taste and smell, headache, flu type aches, some people have reported diarrhea, nausea, chills. Problems breathing, wheezing, can't catch your breath.

The oddest one I have heard from many people, is that they feel like their sinuses feel "hot".

Eleven who worked on Cleveland debate are diagnosed with COVID as Chris Wallace says Donald Trump and his family arrived too late for tests and refused to wear face masks and Fox News stars including Lachlan Murdoch are now being tested.

Just reported by Shannon Bream on her show live now, that Trump just tweeted that he is doing well, sends love to all for good wishes.

Also reported that White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany just put out statement that the President just had his first treatment with anti-viral Remdesiver.

I'm guessing that was why he was hospitalized as this is administered by IV, which is why he would need to be hospitalized.

All sounds good!
