Eleven who worked on Cleveland debate are diagnosed with COVID as Chris Wallace says Donald Trump and his family arrived too late for tests and refused to wear face masks and Fox News stars including Lachlan Murdoch are now being tested.

Wow. The disregard about the reality of Covid is absolutely staggering. This smacks in the face of every single person who is out working eight hours a day, wearing a mask. And I wonder what Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx think about this situation.

If it's found that they caused an innocent person to be infected, what do you and everyone here on Websleuths think should be done?

And if he said I wont do it they would let him die? I don't think so. JMO
Medical people have a magical way of getting sick people to do what they want them to do: once we accept the role of 'patient', they make us take off our clothes and wear silly gowns, invade our personal space, stick sharp objects into us, give us strange liquids and wheel us into machines, cut us open, on and on. It's really an awesome power, but they don't use it for their own benefit, but for ours...bless them all.

This is a disease. No one should be blaming anyone, or creating a social stigma. If nothing else, this is a tremendous opportunity for education and a reality check that no one is immune to this virus.

So they wouldn't let him die if he refused.

@PressSec

An update from President’s physician ⁦
View attachment 266495

Serious situation then ... if they have started the president on remdesivir.

If he contracted the virus on Saturday, he's about 7 days in. Worst days coming up. Good that they have got the treatments going now.

I believe I have read that days 8-12 are the worst.

Qmfr:
“Trouble breathing”?

This doesn’t sound like mild disease to me. We are told as contact tracers to inform persons that if they have trouble breathing, they need to seek care immediately.

Adding reference:

“When should I seek emergency medical care if I am sick with COVID-19?
If someone is showing any of these signs, seek emergency medical care immediately
  • Trouble breathing.
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest.
  • New confusion.
  • Inability to wake or stay awake.
  • Bluish lips or face.
Sep 18, 2020”

Could I Be Charged With a Crime for Spreading the Coronavirus?

Individuals who intentionally or recklessly attempt to spread the virus, threaten to expose others to the virus, or violate emergency orders could face criminal charges.

As the rate of new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections continues to boom across the United States, many states are using criminal laws to punish people who intentionally or recklessly spread the virus.

Some states have specific statutes prohibiting the intentional exposure and transmission of communicable (contagious) diseases, like the coronavirus. Other states use general criminal laws to prosecute people who purposely expose or threaten to expose others to the virus.

This only happens after you have been served with an order of quarantine or isolation by the public health officer.

In the NBC News Nightly News video I just posted above, a staffer made a comment that basically said it’s not implausible that there may be more positive results.

Eta: Also, iirc from the video, it said Hope H was symptomatic on Wednesday? I need to watch it again. Anyway, in CT we go back 48 hours from onset of symptoms to determine infectious period. So, this would mean that Hope could have been infectious on Monday. jmo. Again, there’s a lot of discussion about contact tracing, still watching it.

Nope.

That's only part of what I linked. Shown below.

Breaking Isolation and Quarantine Orders
Public health officials employ isolation and quarantine practices to stop or limit the spread of disease. Officials use isolation to separate people who are ill with an infectious disease from people who are healthy. For example, hospitals isolate patients with the coronavirus. Officials quarantine people who might have been exposed to an infectious disease to see if they become ill. Isolation and quarantine can be voluntary or imposed by law.

I'm not sure that it means his condition is serious. I believe the drug has been in short supply, so has been used only on patients with severe conditions, but it could also be used as a preventative: "it worked better when given earlier in the course of illness" https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/remdesivir-covid-19-fauci-1.5549499

Of course there will be more positive results. I bet there will be more than a few, maybe in the dozens. JMO

No, it is not in short supply (on a world scale). There are generic brands of the same drug available.

I posted an article some time ago about how, even though the US bought most of the Remdesivir available at the time, India and other countries are buying the same drug (generic brand) at much cheaper prices. It hasn't left the rest of the world short, anyway.

I think someone mentioned earlier that they don't give an anti-viral unless it is necessary? Due to potential other (liver) damage? Nothing that I have personally researched though.

I did mention several pages ago that I think they would get him onto Remdesivir as soon as possible, if it was safe to do so.
