How ridiculous. That's putting the others in the car with him at risk.

Not about Trump rather about a 14 yo student athlete in a small town in Mississippi. Just as important IMO

KOSCIUSKO, Miss. (WLBT) - A Kosciusko High School football player contracts the coronavirus and is now hospitalized in a fight against the respiratory illness.

Kosciusko High football player in critical condition with COVID-19

Ack this scares me. My 20 yo ended up the hospital twice this spring with fluid on his lungs. But he's at school now and I'm not sure how well he's taking his Vit D and zinc. But the rest of us here are taking it faithfully since it's cheap and there seems to be some evidence it helps reduce severity of disease. I hope more people take it for this winter ahead. So many people are low in D.

ITA!

We must remember too we've had over 7 million people contract this virus.

It can.. has....and will continue to happen to all walks of life.

I've read numerous stories for months about those who have died, and they took all precautions adhering strictly to CDC guidelines. They still got it with many passing away.

I don't blame our President or anyone around him any more than I blame all of the other 7 million plus American citizens who has contracted it.

I place the full blame on China!

I do pray for them all or the families who've lost precious loved ones, and those who have it now, and are in serious condition.

Imo, it can happen to anyone no matter how much they try to protect themselves.

God bless them all.

Jmhoo
Outstanding post. Your understanding and compassion helps me to weather all of the seething hatred that has been placed towards a person who is sick.

And also, is no proof required of anything? In my (Canadian) city, it is mandated we must wear masks inside public places such as stores and etc, I was inside an establishment the other day when a man walked in without a mask and an employee told him to wear a mask. He replied by saying, "I'm exempt - medical." I'm thinking either prove it, wear one anyway, or just don't go out, pick one. Imo

I have heard many conversations from people who admit to lying and claiming medical exemptions. I mean I don't consider being a moron a medical exemption personally but maybe they do. I don't appreciate liars though. People who say that they can't give in on wearing masks because then the government will force more horrible things on them.

In a vehicle with the windows closed - just to wave hi (will likely be leaving tomorrow). Yet another exposure for Secret Service, but who's counting?

I think this might be a dry run for a bigger rally he's planning outside the hospital. He does very much enjoy those rallies. Imo

Twitter

"So it's been a very interesting journey
I learned a lot about covid
I learned it by really going to school
This is the real school
This isn't the lets read the book school
And I get it
And I understand it
And it's a very interesting thing
And I'm gonna be letting you know about it
In the meantime..." - President Trump
He obviously didn’t learn anything imo

I don't think anyone was put at risk during that drive.
The folks in the front have on N95s and it appears to me gowns. Looks like full PPE. Moo..

What's crazy to me is I live in a state that's "good" and falling numbers. And ours are still definitely higher than your recent highs. It's insanity what we are accepting.

Yep. Numbers numbness.

"Oh, only 800 people died today. That's great."

Not so great for those 800 people dying, every day, or their loved ones. Or the medical staff that are still putting in so much time and effort trying to keep them alive.

IMO

I wonder how he got to the car? And who escorted him there? Who cleaned the car? These are all things to be concerned about.

Whoever you are, self isolation is just that.

That was heartbreaking to watch. Speaking to the drive by. Think of all the Family's out there who had no opportunity to see their loved one just one more time :(

Mark Ambinder - A former Secret Service PPD detail leader, quite hesitant to say anything, tells me: “The job is to put your life on the line...and risk is always there, you manage it. But what we’re seeing now is unprecedented. It’s Russian Roulette....you can’t manage that. "

It's going to be interesting to see how people react if President Trump recovers quickly and immediately jumps back on the campaign, traveling to multiple cities. JMO

Meet The Beast: What makes Donald Trump’s limousine the safest car in the world
The rear compartment of The Beast seats the President and up to four passengers with glass partition. Only the President has access to a switch to lower it. The car also has a panic button as well as its own oxygen supply.

That was not the beast though. The beast is a Cadillac (not really, but on outside looks like one - it's intended to look like s stretch Cadillac XT6), this was a Chevy Surburban which is one of a dozen he has access to MOO.

Trump's new limo cost $1.5M and comes with a fridge full of his blood type

MOO

next weekend
we're not getting together like we usually do
there's 25 or so of us and that's not allowed
not sure what is allowed - I'm so confused

We're not having TG either. It's not worth it, imo. I'm gearing up, psychologically, for a big uptick in the numbers.

Today I went out and did a big shop again, because I think manufacturing and supply chain issues are going to be hit hard again. We've been lulled into a sense of false security with the relaxed requirements and the warm weather allowing us to socialize outside.

A manager in Costco told me today that paper products are again in short supply. The big boxes of kitty litter are all gone again. I really feel for all those feline shelters that rely on donations of litter. No sanitizing wipes, again. I stocked up on kitty litter, cat food, shampoo/rinse, laundry soap, dry pasta, rice, canned tomatoes, canned lentils and beans (all this over the last 3 weeks).

People are living in a dream world if they think this thing is going away. I think people are going to start weighing the risk/reward aspect of living their lives because without a vaccine, it'll be about quality of life.

It was a lot easier staying at home in late March and April because spring and summer were just around the corner and we could be outside. But now we're looking at maybe 6 months of winter with subzero temps and tons of snow. It's a la Nina winter this year.
