Having been hospitalized for two knees, pneumonia, gall bladder removal, and a triple bypass, I know he has an attachment on one arm, and I also know if he’s being monitored 24/7 that he must have a BP and heart rate attachment. Obviously, all was removed for the video. P.S. I am a bionic woman.

Understood, that's why photos help us all out in translation. Egads.. learned on these threads that in UK folks call what we state in US as shots.. they call STABS! Our UK folks kept talking about flu stabs as does Dr. Campbell each time.. what a word to use here at WS.. STABS! eeks!

Now that I think of it.. shots vs. stabs? We all need less scary words for us WS folks who think crime activity :p

JABS, NOT STABS!

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone of a presidents status would have access to wireless bp/hr monitors. So no continuous wired connections. And probably an IV thingy (disconnected as necessary) in his arm not visible.

Travel Alert: 10 States Now At ‘Tipping Point,’ Per Harvard-Brown Covid-19 Tracker

“Based on the tracker’s latest data, 10 states — North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Utah, Iowa, Montana, Arkansas, Idaho, Oklahoma and Alabama — are now in the red zone, which means they have 25 or more new positive Covid-19 cases every day per 100,000 people. At that level of spread, states should be under stay-at-home orders, according to the Harvard and Brown
researchers.

The spread of the disease accelerated across America’s heartland during September. Three weeks ago, only North Dakota was in the red zone. Since September 11, the Roughrider State’s caseload climbed a whopping 67%, from 32.1 to 53.7 new daily cases per 100,000 people.”

Not sure if y'all still follow the IHME graphs which the Pres was using with his team which has been pretty well on target.

Oh my, I am really having a hard time believing the uptick that is projected in December. Even the best case scenario I'm having true difficulty with. (not sure which page this will land on, but you can drill down on global, US, and states themselves).

For many of us following since inception, it's been eerily on target.

IHME | COVID-19 Projections

“This Is Spiraling Out of Control”: Allies Panic About Trump’s Hospital Stay as White House Deflects

Two sources said doctors gave Trump an ultimatum: he could go to the hospital while he could still walk, or doctors would be forced to take him in a wheelchair or on a stretcher at a later point if his health deteriorated. ......Trump waited to leave for the hospital until the stock market closed on Friday, a source said.

On Friday, Trump grew visibly anxious as his fever spiked to 103 fahrenheit and he was administered oxygen at the White House.....Two sources told me Trump experienced heart palpitations on Friday night—possible side effects of the experimental antibody treatment he received.

10% rule.. more at link

I remember when I suddenly came down with H1N1 virus over 10 years ago. All of a sudden my fever spiked to 104 degrees and I couldn't get it down, and I was making work calls, and I couldn't talk easily without being out of breath. I had to go to the emergency room and they gave me oxygen and they kept me at the hospital overnight to observe me, but I went home early the next morning.

I was exiting the grocery store just as a middle-age woman came in without a mask and the greeter asked if she'd like a complimentary one. She said she had been one of the first people in the county to become infected and it was now two months since she had recovered according to the guidelines.

That made me start wondering how many of the people I see without masks fit into that category? I guess the more people who are infected and then recover, the more people who will no longer need a mask to protect themselves or others.
I'm amazed that was an acceptable excuse. People can (and will) say anything. Everyone needs to act to protect others. Period.

I do really hope we are kept up to date on Ronna McDaniel...... She was with T on Friday before the Rose Garden Party, and tested positive on Wednesday....

How long was she in DC?
Could be a longer and longer trail of infection..........

I think that media is catching on to her and her family as being THE target for tracing. MOO

Many are interested in contact tracing and the importance of such, even from wayyyyyyyyyyyy back when in Wuhan and how they shut it down.

Yet, can the US do such? Will they do such? Have they been doing such?

(Rhetorical all above... MOO.. we'll just have to wait to see if it is ever shared with scientists for investigations as to how testing/tracing/quarantine benefits.. and a paper is written on such)

But that is what they must have done, otherwise... how can you explain why no lines during the press release. This seems that you are stating two things that are mutually exclusive? MOO

We know from the pressers that he is going to be receiving, and has already started the Remdisivir which is a 5 day protocol. And that MUST be through a port over a period of time every 5 days. It's not through an injection each time with a new stab in the arm. (Fact) ergo... he must have a port through deduction it seems logical to me. And that indeed yes, he is having the line to that port for the videos.

What other explanation do you think for such?

It does make sense that he wants to settle unrest in the markets and world peace etc. that the leader of the United States is still lucid and able to retain his position. MOO And he is getting treatments, and balancing out by doing what many of us normal folks cannot do while being treated in a hospital with a usual port, as he, like Boris would be expected to have someone by them medically one on one. MOO

MOO

I have not heard the WH medical team discuss "IVs". We know Remdesivir is infused but no mention of IVs for hydration or other drugs.

I haven't seen any mention of IV's either. Yet we know was required for Remdesivir.

MOO

So that the president doesn't have a new injection for an IV every.single.day for the 5 day regimine, its logical he has an arm port vs. a new line inserted every day.. and also for other monitoring.

Remdesivir is REQUIRED to be administered by IV

"This EUA is for the use of Veklury (remdesivir) to treat COVID-19.Veklury must be administered by intravenous (IV) infusion"

Health care providers must submit a report on all medication errors and ALL SERIOUS ADVERSE EVENTSrelated to Veklury. See Sections 8 and 9 of the Full EUA Prescribing Information for reporting requirements. •See the Full EUA Prescribing Information for complete dosage, administration, and preparation instructions.•Veklury (remdesivir) is available as a lyophilized powder and concentrated solution.•The recommended dose for adult and pediatric patients weighing 40 kg and higher is a single loading dose of 200 mg on Day 1 followed by once-daily maintenance doses of 100 mg from Day 2.•..... •The optimal duration of treatment for COVID-19 is unknown.•For patients requiring invasive mechanical ventilation and/or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), the recommended total treatment duration is 10 days.•For patients not requiring invasive mechanical ventilation and/or ECMO, the recommended total treatment duration is 5 days. If a patient does not demonstrate clinical improvement, treatment may be extended for up to 5 additional days for a total treatment duration of up to 10 days. •Administer Veklury via IV infusion over 30 to 120 minutes.

MOO, the white house doc didn't mention as the iv site isn't a drug?

She seemed sincere, although only she knows for sure. But, if she did have it and has gotten over it -- I guess she's not a threat to anyone or to herself. Right?

I have been doing "Contact Tracing". It is done by the county health department. I do maybe 5 or 6 cases a week. Most people, now, only have 3 or 4 contacts. Some people have had 2 pages.

Contact Tracing only works, if the contacts to the "main case" immediately follow the rules, and stay quarantine for two weeks. (No getting on airplanes.)

What about the heart monitor? Shouldn’t he be attached to that?
Not unless they suspect a heart condition or other symptoms that would warrant.

The WH Dr stated his HR was in the 70s. That's good. Also stated his BP was running "his" normal.

I'm confident should his condition change the appropriate monitors and diagnostics will be used. I'm sure WR has a standard protocol for BP, HR and oxygen saturation.

Like any illness or recovery, we have good moments, small burst of energy and feel like moving around. At other times, fatigue, low energy, aches and pains, we may take to our bed or couch to rest.

Moo...

We do not know that!

Since Trump has begun his treatments doing videos, I do hope he continues to do so daily. Interesting that as someone posted above, the photos that the media captured showed the EXIF data (us WS folks know what that is!) and relayed the two photos were 10 minutes apart.

"Sticky pads" for heart monitors can be left in place and leads attached or not.

"Sticky pads" should bypass any terminology issues. :)
I've had lots of monitors. So personal experience on the pads.
