This memorandum describes evidence recently obtained by the Select Subcommittee showing that a Trump Administration appointee at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Senior Advisor Paul Alexander, privately strategized with other top Administration officials as far back as June 2020 about pursuing a so-called “herd immunity” strategy in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Alexander explicitly endorsed allowing the disease to spread widely among “nfants, kids, teens, young people, young adults, middle aged with no conditions etc.,” writing, “we use them to develop herd…we want them infected.”

I don't know the original source for this picture and when I tried to find out, there were lots of possibilities with no clear origin

At any rate, it made me smile because...
Yes.

I just set an appointment to get my covid vaccination on Saturday morning.

My employer is not allowing us to get the vaccine during work hours. We have to go on our own time.

I was just watching seniors getting vaccinated at a Florida long term facility as Desantis stood by. I wondered “Will they get their second shot in three weeks?”

Desantis abruptly left and refused to answer reporter’s questions again.

I am absolutely going to take the vaccine when my time comes but I keep reading about second infections.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An ICU nurse is recovering after testing positive for COVID-19 a second time.

Now months later, Ingraham was hit with COVID-19 yet again.

"It hit me a lot harder and a lot quicker this time," she said. "It feels like someone hit you with a baseball bat."

We had a patient that had it (COVID-19) three times. It is common. This virus can mutate and go into a different type of strain," Ingraham said.

COVID-19: Public warned to 'keep it short, keep it local' as Christmas COVID rules change between UK nations

Boris Johnson has warned "a smaller Christmas is going to be a safer Christmas" as he urged the public to see festive bubbles of up to three households as "maximums" and not "targets to aim for".

The prime minister told a Downing Street news conference that, following discussions over the last two days, the four nations of the UK had "collectively" agreed to keep the relaxation of COVID restrictions over Christmas.

But, urging restraint, Mr Johnson said all four nations were now offering the same message that: "A smaller Christmas is going to be a safer Christmas, and a shorter Christmas is a safer Christmas."

This is why so many yearn for watching the Cuomo pressers to know what is going on perhaps as others don't want to have statements on record as to how they are approaching COVID spread and what they are doing in their states? Understood that Florida depends on tourist taxes (come to Disney, come to the sun etc. ) as they don't have state income taxes, but jeeeeeez...

There is a lot to learn longer term how the vaccine will work with the focus on the spike proteins focus of the vaccines vs. other parts with low exposure that the bodies may have created with normal exposures. It's already come out that the levels are higher with the vaccines by multiple folds.

(I can't recall, what part(s) of the virus does the PCR look for?)

I do hope there are MANY studies on such for follow ups.

Monoclonal antibodies: A Covid-19 treatment people might not know about - CNN

BBM:
“But it seems that the word is not getting out to those who need the medications the most, or their health care providers.
Eli Lilly's monoclonal antibody, called bamlanivimab, received an emergency use authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration in early November. Less than two weeks later, the agency granted an EUA to Regeneron's monoclonal antibody cocktail, made up of two monoclonal antibodies, casirivimab and imdevimab, and called REGEN-COV2. It was given to President Trump when he got infected at the start of October. Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson were also treated with monoclonal antibody therapy.“

Wondering if as a CS, he does not have the option of receiving the vaccination? speculation, imo.

Not sure what you are asking? CS=Covid Survivor?

Yes, it is 100% the message I have seen that those that had previous infections should get the vaccine (from scientists that is... vs... well... sit on hands)

Sturgeon: Scots should stay in own homes over Christmas

Scots should stay in their own homes at Christmas, Nicola Sturgeon has urged.

If people feel it is “essential” to meet with others indoors, she said this should be for one day only and not overnight.

The First Minister has strengthened the guidance for people celebrating Christmas across Scotland following the relaxing of restrictions.

The published advice urges people to celebrate in their own household and keep any interaction with other households to a minimum.

I wish was more in MSM, yet if that was done, there would be a run on them and the companies/insurance/hospitals aren't set up for the outcry that would result?

Both these need to be given ASAP... yet there has been crickets on such? I need to recall what Dr. C and Dr. S have said.

It's getting crowded up in my brain these days.

So now we know the history a bit on the two reactions the first day from your link at nytimes.

"Pfizer officials have said the two British people who had the reaction had a history of severe allergies. One, a 49-year-old woman, had a history of egg allergies. The other, a 40-year-old woman, had a history of allergies to several different medications. Both carried EpiPen-like devices to inject themselves with epinephrine in case of such a reaction.".......

"But because of the British cases, F.D.A. officials have said they would require Pfizer to increase its monitoring for anaphylaxis and submit data on it once the vaccine comes into use. Pfizer also said that the vaccine is recommended to be administered in settings that have access to equipment to manage anaphylaxis. Last weekend, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that people with serious allergies can be safely vaccinated, with close monitoring for 30 minutes after receiving the shot."

I do hope the "equipment" to manage is an epi pen vs. having to do vaccines in a hospital type setting.
