Thank you everyone for your kindness. I have a mild cough, but none of the other typical COVID symptoms. I also have a blocked nose, which is not a typical COVID symptom.
I took the test because of the cough, but expected it to be negative due to the blocked nose.

“A pharmacist at a Wisconsin hospital has been arrested and accused of intentionally removing more than 500 doses of coronavirus vaccine from refrigeration last week, knowing that the vaccines would be rendered useless and that the people receiving them would think they were protected against the virus when they were not, the police department in Grafton, Wisconsin, said Thursday.”

This is so crazy...What else might this pharmacist have done wrt dispensing medications? This reminds of those crazy nurses who kill infants, jmo.

Can you imagine how you’d feel, if you were one of those people who received a spoiled vaccine? Or one of those people who received regeneron? How the heck did that even happen?

I wonder if he is going to explain why he did that?

I have just received my positive Covid-19 test result via email. It was a test I took just as a precaution and fully expected to come back negative. I have a medical condition that makes me vulnerable and it’s the early hours of the morning here in the UK so I can’t talk to anyone about it.

Just feeling scared and alone right now.

which test was it? is it possible that you have actually had it for awhile and are asymptomatic?
will they follow up with contact tracing for you? seems that they should, however it seems a bit creepy to send out a result on New Year's, but maybe it is all automated? The new COVID medicine- via e-mail, no bedside manner required.

I’m so sorry shadowdancer. I got my positive result on the 13th (due to a routine test as well because I am a nurse) and was so scared as well - and still feel that way at times... you are not alone!! Please keep posting here and you can privately message me as well anytime. <3 <3

took the vaccines out two nights in a row; returned to the freezer after the first night. so planned out and weird- so people would get a vaccine that would not work. who does something like that?

Before I moved to NS, I was a lab tech in Toronto. I’ve NEVER heard of someone doing something like this.

There are so many checks and balances in place. The fridges where I worked were locked and few people had access. All highly monitored.

His first story of ‘reaching for something in the back’ made 0 sense. It’s implausible.

They should have a cctv camera footage of what happened. It’s so discouraging to hear this.

It’s super bizarre and I’m glad they caught him... ugh, if you don’t want to get it fine but don’t do that to someone else! He’s in a position of trust. So discouraging.

I’m sure you did all of the right things. We’ve had many cases here were the patients did everything right and the source couldn’t be traced.

I am sorry you have to go through this: There are wonderful people here at WS and very knowledgeable as well. Take good care of yourself. I consider this virus almost like an evil entity-- it is nasty- it is vicious----

If you have been careful, then you will know where you have been. That does not mean that people you have stood in line, socially distanced, have been so careful. It is not your fault.

I don't know if this will help @shadowdancer.
A neighbor has Covid as well, ..and diabetes. Because I've read that so many people have Vitamin D deficiency, Vitamin D being possibly crucial for recovery in Covid patients, I advised her to take extra supplements (though not more than 4000 IU) as well as zinc and melatonin. She has, and is feeling much better.
No idea if this contributed, though my daughter, a nurse on the frontlines, has also told me to take these supplements.
Perhaps @Marysmith ( I hope you too will recover quickly without adverse effects) can advise.
