OMG. Why would a contractor need to unplug anything in a secure lab area with an alarm system? Nothing to indicate it shouldn’t be touched?Nearly 2,000 COVID vaccines thrown away at VA Medical Center in Mass. after freezer was unplugged

“The freezer was in a secure location and had an alarm system installed,” a spokesperson told the Globe. “The plug was found loose after a contractor accidentally removed it while cleaning. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident and why the monitoring and alarm system did not work as expected.”
Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that.We just found out that an usher from our church has past away from Covid. He was in his forties.
"Packed us together like sardines": Guard deployed to Capitol struggles to contain COVID — POLITICO
“The National Guard has struggled to implement a plan to test troops flowing into and out of Washington, D.C., for Covid-19, with some Guard members being forced to find their own tests and others pressured to leave their quarantine early to report to duty.
Already, hundreds of Guard members who poured into Washington, D.C., after the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol have tested positive for Covid-19 or are quarantining in nearby hotels, three Guard sources said. Guard leadership has declined to release an official number of positive cases, but troops and lawmakers alike worry that the deployment is becoming a superspreader event.”
For many years (and two different BCBS - employment via huge national corporations) insurance would not pay for vaccines at CVS, Target, etc.
I have to make an appointment at my doctors office for vaccinations if I want insurance to pay. Every vaccine done that way has been free. Walk in, jab, walk out. No cost whatsoever.
No waiting or standing around a bunch of people inside a store.
I had to get a tetanus shot at a CVS minute clinic and paid full price out of pocket.
All depends on the insurance policy which if through your employer sometimes isn’t much choice with options.

Guys, I listened to Dr. O’s second to most recent podcast. I found it very concerning, haven’t listened to latest one yet.
He basically said we are having trouble managing current strain, so prognosis for other strains is concerning.
Here is that podcast:
The lack of discussion regarding the South AFrican strain has me very suspicious. The article in Daily Mail says as much, but I want to hear our experts, and I think they are holding back.
Any hypothesis as to why they might be holding back on the topic? It seems irresponsible if they know things about this strain that the public needs to know to make informed decisions yet choose to withhold the information for whatever reason. The lack of discussion regarding the South AFrican strain has me very suspicious. Too much silence on the South African and Brazil mutants....
We have to stay on top of those.
I've never seen police a officer around when people aren't wearing masks.
I'm also confused by N95 mask with valves being frowned upon. Two people with cloth masks that don't stop viral particles seems less effective than one with a cloth mask and one with a valved N95 - in theory, the person with the N95 is less likely to become infected, making their valve "exhaust" safe.
