Could ICA walk??

  • #81
It wasn't until recently that I realized that Casey believes she WILL WALK. She has no doubt bought into whatever Baez is selling. It just amazes me that she is that detached from reality. Is it possible...and I don't mean this to be mean or anything...that she really isn't that smart? To be so unaware of what's happening around her just boggles my mind.

BBM - "Smart" is an ambiguous term. I do believe she is deluded and not too much in touch with reality though. She is also so self centered that rational and objective thought about her situation is something that eludes her.

I think you are right except have you noticed a difference in ICA during the last two hearings? I don't know if it is because all those motions were denied and/or she has suddenly seen how close the trial is and this is starting to get real or if she has been working more with Ann Finnell who strikes me as much more of a straight shooter - but - she seems much less "carefree" than she has in the past. I think she is starting to get worried.....

The chief judge said it's possible that defendants could be set free if they are not given a timely trial.

IMO this is scary! Thoughts??

See my quote above? I was referring to the lack of funds when I started this thread. :) I'm not worried, now that the funds came through. I, myself, personally think she will get the DP, but that's just me. I would rather see her get LWOP, but hey! She made her bed, now she can lie in it. I don't even wish the DP on my brother's murderer. After seeing JA yesterday? I do think that the DP is something she truly needs to worry about. He's on top of his game and one would almost think that Caylee was a part of his immediate family. Add to this that he has the awesome LDB by his side? She's toast! Oh well, sucks for her, because Tulessa is in Caylee's corner! :)

BBM - and rightfully so, if that is the case... :)

I thought the same thing until yesterday. Yesterday we saw a very different demeanor in Casey. sucks for her.

Cindy is really transparent when she is lying. She sometimes squints and slightly smiles when she is asked a question where she KNOWS she is going to lie. Her voice was extremely shakey and I wondered why because she has been through this a number of times and we have seen how self assured she is and how tough she can be. The only thing I could think of was Cindy is nervous - she knows she is going to be lying.

George just mumbles unbelievable and when he is caught on it, he fesses up. His testimony that Yuri said "you are never gonna see her again" was so ludicrous that even he had to keep talking. It was ridiculous.

And LDB has every page "🤬🤬🤬-it ed" and she never has to go looking. ON the other hand, we could be there for days with the defense.

I agree. It is so obvious when a "lie" is told by the family -- it's like you know the lie -- the fabrication -- is coming !

I just hope the Jury sees through the "lies" and has not only commons sense, but some skills in "reading body language".

...either that or the defense is heeding what we're saying.

...except we did see glimpses of the old Casey...she could not stop playing with her hair! I am ________(insert percentage) sure the defense reads here and have instructed her that the way she has been behaving doesn't evoke sympathy.

Can we send KC to California? Rumor has it she was planning a trip there anyway!

We may convict out here but we rarely actually carry out the death sentence.

And let us not forget. We did let a man who committed double homicide walk free and go golf for years and years before he was finally committed of another crime in a different state in which he was convicted.

JSR, same here in Kentucky. We have people on death row who have been there 25 years plus. Why be on DR when you are going to die of old age before you take that walk?

I too thinks she is starting to get worried. These hearings should be an eye opener to her. Her hero hasn't fair well in these hearings and think relaity may be setting in. Reality being, she has an inexperienced attorney who really isn't 'all that' after all. Personally I will get great pleasure seeing her worried every time she sitat that defense table wondering WTH!!

Quite the interesting article from Bill S. today who thinks we may very well see a big change in ICA's appearance in the upcoming trial!

Comments? :waitasec:

Casey's Appearance Could Be Changed To Influence Jury‎

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer says the defense is probably spending hours crafting an image for Casey to present to the jury from day one, and it might be a whole, new Casey.

That was interesting video. I think it's a little too late. They should have done this long ago. IMO, we have seen months and months of a carefree Casey. Just a tad too late me thinks. :innocent:

The defense can bring in all the experts in to groom her, change her style and tell her how to act. With that said, somewhere during the trial the real KC will show up and show up often. You can't change the spots on a leopard.

I agree....it's too late.....all the State has to do is show the photos of her going into her attorney's office with the Daisy Dukes

I would like to hear what WSer's think she should wear as far as her clothing and her hair..and how you think that would play with the jury..but since we are sure the defense reads here do we really want to help them dress and groom her..:maddening:

A suit, not that it's going to do her any good at this stage. Her boat has done sailed! :saythat:

Dr. Lillian Glass, in her latest column, is suggesting the DT dress ICA in a black blouse and a well fitted black suit for her to wear everyday of the trial. So she looks like a grieving mother. She also suggests CA at least wear a black suit also. Sorry, did not pick up the link to bring it here. Hopefully another poster will see it and do that.
