Could Lee Anthony face charges for obstruction of justice?

You're right. That makes even more sense.

Just tossing this out there to kick around, too, but how do we know that KC's laptop didn't have frequent BSOD episodes? She doesn't strike me as overly tech-savvy, only as a frequent flyer on social sites. And it isn't like she had a tech guy from the IT department at Universal to do regular windows updates and such.
Hey, PH...in Heather's statement she said that there was a Jeff who was an IT guy...or did you already know that? My bad.

See, that's the question I don't know. But it opens up another question if they went on the 16th....why didn't LEE pick up the phone when he picked up Casey's stuff on the 15th?

curious and curiouser!

If I remember correctly, Casey's phone wasn't with the rest of her stuff. I think AL found it when he tried to call her and heard the phone ringing. He used her phone to find Amy's number and told Amy something about finding the phone on his dresser.

So when Lee came to get Casey's things, AL may have presumed that all her things were together in one spot, when in fact her phone wasn't with the rest of the stuff, and he found it later after Lee left.

I know this probably doesn't have any meaning but, I can't help wondering what Lee meant when he asked KC "is this like before?" It was in a jailhouse phone call and Lee was asking about Caylee missing. I have always wondered what he was referring to in the past that was similar to the current situation.

Not a good sign if that's all you get. I had the dreaded blue screen virus. There's a ton of stuff about it when you google it.

Ahh, ok, thanks!! I know nothing about computers except I'd die without mine LOL

Trust me a good forensics team knows the diference between a legitimate PC failure and an attempt to manually destroy data. And no you will not typically get a blue screen following an improper shut down. There is an extremely rare situation where it might occur, providing there was already some underlying hardware issue. This would be real obvious to the techs.

They know exactly when that drive was trashed. They know it occured while KC was accounted for. They know it occured while LA was "retrieving" the Laptop. He deliberately went to a place KC had known to be staying and altered or tampered with evidence before LE could retrieve it.

They have the absolute strongest obstruction case against him. Yes CA probably destroyed evidence when she washed the pants, and GA when he cleaned the trunk. But there are multiple ways of interpreting those. GA certainly knows how close to the line he can skirt before he is in obstruction teritory. This is clearly apparent from his LE interviews. LA has a big problem with that laptop.

Ohh I know that they can tell what happened. I was just wondering about the blue screen.

This issue was discussed and investigated at length in a thread called Anthony's Donations with several parts. I do believe that the hard work of all sleuthers on that thread will see the fruits of their labor in regards to LA and the solicitation of donations.

As far as the tampering of evidence, does anyone remember what TonE said about the blue screen being present/not present prior to LA coming to get her stuff? IIRC, Casey had been on her computer when her Mom and AH showed up, per TonE's statement to LE.

Bold is mine. ITA!

I wanted to point something out about the blue screen/computer situation. On July 15, Cindy left messages for Casey about finding the car at the tow yard. These are in the cell records. Tony said Casey was on the laptop while he and the roommate played video games. I checked, and the times work with messages, pings, interviews of people Casey was picking up at airport, etc., that Casey was on the laptop after she got Cindy's messages.

If Casey thought Cindy was going to get her laptop back, it could very well be that it was Casey who was deleting stuff from the laptop (we also know from LE that Casey deleted), and that it was Casey who did something to the laptop to cause the blue screen error.

Just to note, the reason I was researching this was to look for signs of 'panic' on Casey's part when she got the messages from Cindy about the towed car being found. I was actually looking to see mostly if Casey did anything that looked like she was going to Caylee's body, maybe to move it. But I was looking for 'panic' in general. Casey on the laptop was the only sign of possible panic I saw, if she was in fact deleting things. (Casey's a non-panic girl - smooth operator - typical sociopath.)

I'm not trying to stand up for Lee. He's an odd duck, and definitely did a lot that I question.

I agree but other than the donation issues (which I admit is a huge deal, if true), I'm not convinced Lee has done anything wrong. I don't love the guy- I don't like the way he goes about things. He seems to enjoy causing drama on top of the drama already present. Like telling Jesse and LP that Cindy choked Casey yet not telling the police that. How in control he was able to appear outwordly, while so obviously OUT of control inside when he took that sign from that woman and stomped it to death.

Is is a bit odd. I have not yet made up my mind about him though.

Not so. There are lots of various bluescreens that can appear in windows. Some of them show up upon missing system critical files, bad drivers, corrupted files, hardware faults, or viruses (which cause missing or corrupted files).

Look up "Stop Errors" in Windows

If he did delete the files the hard disk will tell when he did this or attempted to by a time stamp (unless he screwed with the clock in bios). If your crime is on the computer it would be wiser to take out the hard disk and exchange it. :waitasec:

Here is a link with a few common Stop Error (Blue Screen) causes

Thanks for this! I thought there were more than one type of "Blue screen". I have shut my computer down improperly and when it booted back up I got a blue screen giving me options on how to proceed.

Correct and noted.

Then again, IIRC, Zanny also said Jeff was a Rocket Scientist. Yes?

IIRC LE picked up KC's phone which was after AL used it and before LA arrived to pick up her stuff. LA went over to AL's around midnight but LE had already been there and gotten her phone.

Ya see, I remember that, but I thought it was said during a phone conversation before he got to the As house on the 15th.

I have always believed that Casey deleted everything too Chilly. I still think that Amy (or one of the guys) could have possibly given her a heads up...not knowing of course, the seriousness of the situation.

Cindy found Amy's phone number in the car and called it, asking if Amy knew where Casey was. When Amy said she was at Tone's, Cindy asked if she could pick Amy up and have Amy direct her to Tone's apt. Amy would have maybe 15 or 20 minutes waiting at the mall she was at, for Cindy to pick her up. She could easily have called Casey and tipped her off.

BUT, I'm not so sure Amy would have done anything to help Casey at that point in time. Amy had just learned a few hours before that Casey had stolen her checkbook and cleaned out her checking account. I just can't imagine Amy wanting to do anything to help Casey out of a jam.

The topic of this thread is about OJ charges. Please stay on topic.
MOst of you know that we have asked that the donation topic be sidelined for now.

LOL I was wondering when you would speak! :blowkiss:

Maybe if we look at KC's cell calls for that date and timeframe we can determine if someone could have possibly tipped her off that they were coming and who. The only people who knew were AH and the friend she was with at the mall, unless AH called someone and told them, and that person called KC. Time to check cell records again.

Exactly Blue Screens are rare. It is certain critical missing files or hardware problem or bad driver. Not all missing system files bring up a blue screen either, most bring up a black screen with the missing file listed. A virus can do this, but the amount of viruses that can actually do this on an updated notebook are very rare.

To get one to display on cue in time for murder mystery is almost a miracle. If he were a true computer geek he would know to yank that hard disk if he couldn't take the time to properly delete the whole drive by overwriting the whole thing with zeros several times (hours). I think he tried to delete certain files and made Windows unstable.

His claim that the original screen claimed it had been improperly shutdown and none of the recovery options worked is bordering on absurd. If it boots that far Safe Mode or Recovery should work about 80% or more of the time. Safe mode avoids the problem causing blue screens. (Stop Errors)

I can bring up one though by forcing a wrong video driver or overclocking memory/processor way beyond specs although most laptops don't allow overclocking easily. What I mean by forcing is that I install a driver manually despite all the warnings from Windows that it is the wrong driver.

I seriously doubt KC was doing driver testing/mods (working on and modifying drivers) Nor overclocking a crappy mass produced notebook.

Here is what I think may have happened. Casey was on the computer when Cindy and Amy showed up at TonE's.. I think Casey was like "OMG" and closed up the laptop, shutting it off without shutting it down properly. So the next time it booted up (which happens to be when Lee turned it on) it had the blue screen warning about your computer having shut down improperly and how do you want to proceed.

JMO uneducated opinion though. I admit I know nothing about computers but I have gotten blue screens before.

If this guy is still trying to cover for his sister as though she has stolen a candy bar or has skipped school when it's obvious that she's killed her own daughter...There's something not quite right and he will be accountable for whatever role he has played in the matter.

MOO

I always assumed that Lee knew TL somehow...don't know then why he said he didn't...something about having to get the info from Amy. I'm confused, you guys saw these mysterious photos?

huh. I didn't. Though I saw some pics with people hanging out in the garage with a beer pong thingy set up in the background. I didn't see any bad pictures though.

But, if KC knew her mother was coming-don't ya think she would have run. I know she didn't have a car to run with, but maybe she could have had TonE drop her off somewhere. But, then again, she had nowhere to go. I guess it was like she told LE-she had run out of options!
