here is a thought for the surveillance system.
Whoever was supposed to turn it off, did not do so on purpose, knowing they would have the stuff transferred to them and they would have time to get lost before the idiots got caught. If there was a lot of valuables in that safe, they could be long gone with a new identity. Now they don’t have to split it with anyone or worry about the killers coming after them.
