Ok, I read the PNJ comments and it struck me that the reason this case is a humdinger is because of the businesses involved. This isn't about a safe. This case was a murder and it involves drugs, stolen cars, predatory lending, a 'business network', tax evasion, a BIG inheritance...I think it was more about preserving the 'network' and Bud was a threat somehow. He may have had proof in that safe, but the bottom line is about a network of businesses, not a payday in the safe. Pam Long Wiggens is not the 'mastermind' even if Morgan actually says it. After all, Morgan said he was "concerned" with Pamela Long's "safety". Just hours before handcuffing her.

I think there was "something" in that safe. A TON of cash or documents or SOMETHING - But I AGREE with you! I think you are spot on !!! All of this is NOT on the up and up. I agree, WAY BIGGER than a safe. In no way shape of form did these people deserve to die. It is tragic and nobody has the right to take another persons life.

Would handcuffing her keep her safe? Or is that just television?

Can you do a google search and post the link for us? We can check it out!
Interesting that initially they couldn't find PL. LE wouldn't come right out and say whether or not she was being sought for any other reason than her connection to G jr...but they did state she wasn't where she was supposed to be so she very well may have left the area to discuss things with a lawyer...who conveniently was bringing her in. I'd say there's a good chance that's who was with her on the boat.

HOLY !#%!#%!#%!#!%#

yes!!!!!!!

http://pnj.com/section/special

look on the right where it says videos, then scroll to the "billings security videos"

watch the VERY TOP LEFT of the driveway where the van enters--nothing is there...the van enters..stops..comes down the yard..A PERSON OR OBJECT APPEARS WHERE THE VAN STOPS.

Go to where there is about 1:30 left in the video and it moves...when the van turns and leaves..IT'S GONE!

ETA: watch it in full screen. I thought it might've been a light or something that just 'happened' to be there..but it comes when the van does and leaves before the van does

I feel like being sick after watching that :( Is it possible person was a look out from the left side of the van? Although, why would they be in a lighter colored shirt? Alrighty, whats the avenue of this making?? Now Im not going to sleep since I just got the visual of this scenario!

Looks like 1 got out to watch the drive way (anyone coming) and when he saw the others probably exit, he ran for the van.

If your a lookout on a drive way, you wouldnt want to "stand out" in ninja gear.

Did he finally pay them? I know they say satisfied but I thought he did not have to pay.

Yes, they look settled up but not all in the same year.

Cases to go to grand jury

Seven suspects ordered held in jail without bond

Seven suspects in the robbery and shooting deaths of Byrd and Melanie Billings are all being held without bond on open counts of murder.

Four appeared in court Wednesday:

N Frederick Thornton Jr., 19, And Gary Lamont Sumner, 30, Made Their First Appearances Before Escambia County Judge Thomas Johnson, Who Ordered Them To Remain Jailed Without Bond

n Johnson also ordered Leonard Patrick Gonzalez Sr., 56, held without bond. Gonzalez was being held on a $500,000 bond on a tampering with evidence charge, but that charge was upgraded to two open counts of murder.

n Rakeem Chaney Florence, 16, made his initial appearance in juvenile court before Circuit Judge Ross Goodman. Florence is being held in the Juvenile Detention Center.

Fighting Extradition

Stallworth, 28, was an Air Force staff sergeant assigned to the 1st Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Air Force officials confirmed Wednesday.

Stallworth joined the Air Force in 2000 and had been stationed at Hurlburt since completing training, 2nd Lt. Mark Lazane said. Stallworth was an aircraft mechanic and had been deployed to the Middle East four times.

"We want people to know that we are cooperating fully with the investigation," Lazane said. "He is in the hands of civilian authorities, and we are doing all we can to help Escambia County with their investigation and make sure everyone gets a fair trial."

State Attorney Bill Eddins said Stallworth is fighting extradition, and prosecutors must go through procedural steps to have him transferred to Florida. The process could take several weeks, Eddins said.

Indictments Sought

Eddins said prosecutors will ask a grand jury to indict all seven male suspects on first-degree murder charges.

First-degree murder can be either first-degree premeditated murder or first-degree murder committed during the commission of a felony — in this case, robbery.

A conviction on either carries two possible penalties: death, or life in prison without parole.

Thornton was the first to appear in court Wednesday, shuffling in leg shackles to the podium.

He told Johnson he didn't have a job, so the judge appointed a public defender to represent him.

Sumner told the judge that he owned a car detailing company — The Fifth Dimension — in Fort Walton Beach. He asked the court to appoint him an attorney until he decides whether he can afford private counsel.

Sumner was arrested Sunday night in Okaloosa County on an unrelated traffic charge.

Co-defendants Coldiron, 41, and Gonzalez Sr. picked Sumner out of a photo lineup and identified him as the driver of a light-colored sport utility vehicle captured on surveillance footage at the Billings home. Thornton and Florence are believed to have been in that vehicle.

Very true, but that's a LONG driveway/road to go down that leads to nowhere but their house. (click on the map below the videos on the pnj page and zooooom all the way into it)

Are you just correcting her spelling or saying that is who was with her on the dock?

Oh dear - just giving the correct spelling. . .

Geez...two of them had to pick out their comrades in a photo line-up? They go commit two senseless murders with people they didn't even know...and they trusted them to keep their mouths shut? Who would have figured SHEEP could be so evil?

This case just blows my mind in a twisted, sorrowful way.

Alright - Davis is on one of the public records. Someone look it up under world co or the Billings themselves. I am going to bed but bring my Iphone with me, (with visions of scary ahole in ninja garb comitting heinous murders) so it will be harder for me to go to several different pages. He had a lein or some type of business with them -- Go the the My Florida records.

Keith Lamont Davis is listed as the registered agent for Coastal Creations (aka BackSeat CLub) in 2000 (in addition to Russell Hassel).

In the below doc, he is listed as Domestic altercation with a woman (beating up the strippers, maybe??):
