From WEAR TV this morning.

"Two people of interest are being sought today.

It appears the safe was moved from the sheriff office right after midnight.

PC @ 10am CDT this morning."

The safe was roughly H2'6"xW20"xD18" (total guess on my part from seeing it under a sheet while LE was rolling it out)

I feel like being sick after watching that :( Is it possible person was a look out from the left side of the van? Although, why would they be in a lighter colored shirt? Alrighty, whats the avenue of this making?? !

The person might be LP Sr. In his arrest report, he said he stayed in the van when LP Jr. and Coldiron went in the house. Then he said he got in the driver's seat and pulled the van forward, so they could get back in the van faster.

In the video, it looks the white tshirt guy is doing something. Perhaps he jumped out to help put the safe in the van?

Mistaken identity

The Pamela Long sought in the Byrd and Melanie Billings murder case is not the only Pamela Long in Gulf Breeze.

Pamela Marie Long, who owns the real estate development company PMG Group, was being confused Wednesday with Pamela Laverne Long, who was sought by the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.

She said she received a slew of phone calls from friends and media from across the country minutes after Sheriff David Morgan announced the search for a woman named Pamela Long, but gave few other details. Reporters also gathered in her yard. The sheriff later announced that Long's married name is now Wiggins.

"I just got off the phone with someone from 'Inside Edition' and they asked me, 'Do you know police are looking for you?' " Pamela Marie Long said. "I am not that Pamela Long. Please let people know that."

From Sheriff Morgans interviews this morning on several news stations he has "hinted" that Pam may have had items from the safe- still saying the primary motive is robbery.

More of a Lurker here, but add me to the group who thinks this was way MORE than just a "robbery". And the sheriff saying robbery was the motive, still doesn't rule out this pam person wanting whatever was in that safe, to clear a debt, or whatever, that was involving her and the victims. IOW, yes, it was a robbery, but with more implications than just cash/gold.

JMHO.

I agree that the safe might have contained many financial documents..IOU's deeds, etc. Even if there was no cash or gold ..this is still robbery. Pam might have docs in safe is also my bet Jenmrk. She didn't get involved for no reason or because she was convinced by lpg jr. The financial docs in the safe could be far more valuable than cash you could stuff into a safe.

The local news showed them taking her in at the jail and she was smiling...that just made my stomach turn- they also showed a interview with her ex husband ,he said that he has no idea where all her money comes from, that she has houses in other states and a Rolls Royce and that she loves to brag about it all.

Very true .I am wondering if the person who should have disabled got scared and backed out or If somehow someone wanted all these people to get caught.Sort of like a silent partner who ends up free and clear.Or maybe I am just over thinking lol

I went to sleep last night thinking of this case running all the scenarios over in mind - heck, I haven't done such heavy mental lifting since the Peterson case.
Mikeysmommom and I kind of felt the same way. Did this person chicken out at the end or got drunk and thought they had done it? But if this person developed a conscience at the last minute, why not go to the police (or be anonymous) and make a phone call to stop the invasion that night?

One more thing, this Pam Long Wiggins (or whatever alias she's using this week), she was certainly flaunting and acting very smug as she walked to the police station. She acted like she was a celebrity - smiling for the cameras. Not one of these low-lifes have a thing to be proud of - I know, innocent until proven guilty,

I personally believe that murder was the primary motive, robbery second.JMO

Morgan also said that they did not think that she knew that they had been looking for her....yeah right!

I think that someone thought they had turned off the video system but instead just turned off the alarm system. I also think someone left the utility door unlocked on purpose. With all of their disabled children I am pretty sure that they would have made sure all their doors were locked.JMO

I get a feeling that the oversight on disabling the security system was not an oversight, but intentional. Just a feeling.

Also... I was reading the arrest warrants last night - one thing that confuses me is the inconsistency of the charges from one guy to another. Another thing that stands out was a statement that there was forced entry at both doors. I think it was on the 16-year-olds warrant.

Lastly, was looking at LPGJr's MS pics - on one particular photo http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=468734116&albumID=0&imageID=6382321, if you mouse over the bottom left hand corner, it says "My Ex w/ Bella". That's the first photo I have seen of his ex. Posting just in case you haven't seen it....

It may have been left on intentionally, but surely whoever was in charge of disabling, had to know someone would talk. Someone knew who was in charge and with that many people someone was bound to talk or will talk.JMO

GMA reported this morning that the gang MS-13 is somehow involved.

Drug running is also thought to of been involved!

Are they saying that the Billings were involved in drug running? Or this group involved in the murders was also involved in drug running?

Oh! Sheriff Morgan was asked about that during a press conference. He sort of stumbled, but eventually said it was left open by a family member.

It's probably on the video surveillance tapes! They might know who left the door open.
