I think murdering the Billings would still leave whatever was in that safe... and they needed the contents more.... which makes robbery the prime motive. They just had to get rid of the Billings as well... but needed the incriminating evidence or whatever it is more.

I think the time was significant. I think they wanted to do it around the time the Billings went to bed to explain the de-activated security system better. I also think they had to get in and out in a short period of time related to that.

I just started reading today so I want to apologize if this has been brought up…
I’m having a hard time figuring out how to say this so I hope it make sense!
What if the Billings got a car to sell that had drugs hidden in it and they didn’t know.
They sold the car to someone who just wanted the car before the actual buyers
(who knew the car had drugs in it) bought it?
They may keep the sales info on each car in their safe.
And maybe the drug runners wanted to find out who bought the car so they could go get it?
Just a thought I had when I read this post and especially since
the gang and drugs are now being questioned!

I think you are on to something - but it's only the tip of the ice berg. I still want to know how the estate of the bad boy Sorrels came to be a court issue with MB and bad boy Joseph Andrew Steer? Is it possible that these properties were "safe houses" of a different kind?

I have been waiting for you on this :blowkiss: I have all the docs right here printed out - what avenue are you thinking?? It is SO very weird. What would have been their interest in that estate and was someone retailating against Mrs. Billings?

I believe JPG Jr. has six boys - is it possible he has a sixteen year old? Would this be the sixteen y.o. that has not been identified due to his age? Please don't tell me he would allow this.

So a former tenant of a Billings rental house, arrested the same day as the scumbags for dealing in stolen goods, now lives in the 1200 block of via de luna and PLW has a condo in the 1600 block. Kind of close but not a connection.

Current tenant, I believe - I have not finished checking to see if they ever sold the property at 9340 Silcox - as far as I know the Billings currently own it. But is was purchased just last march - 2008

I believe I read somewhere a comment from Mrs. Halford stating that they had sold the boat through a broker and never met the buyer. The spellings are different too.

The PNJ photo gallery shows a home she owns in their gallery that is only a few blocks from her current home.

2921 Browder Street is a home Pamela Long owns and rents. The home is a few blocks from Long's Ramblewood Drive home.
