I do think it's possible that she was murdered to shut her up re abuse. Either that or her killer really hated her.

I am going to start a new thread on motives.

They paused it last time to keep still shots of the autopsy photo, there was no such photo last night.
Which photo seems to be missing? They focus on the skull x-ray at one point. Is it one of the other ones?

The male caucasian dna was mentioned at least three times in the first airing, I didn't hear it at all last night.
It's still there. Both Charlie Brennan and the narrator refer to "male caucasian" DNA.

But it isn't called that in the last segment on the DNA, where Dr. Pitt calls it "foreign male DNA."

Is this the same Charlie Brennan who was on the first Tracey documentary owning up to all his inorrect assumptions about the case?

Also, it was the narrator in Tracey II who got to say "Mr X has now disappeared" etc etc. i.e. all the lies.

YES, IT'S ALL STILL ABSOLUTELY THERE. I watched again last night and made notes because I couldn't record it. In my notes as well as my memory of hearing it, the DNA was called Male Caucasian by the people mentioned by Britt above. Schiller ,himself, never called it Caucasian. Just foreign. Also there were several autopsy pictures shown but they were in the form of large color photographs spread out all over a table, several coming into view at different times but never really lingering on one. This was the same show that aired before with all the same stuff. I don't know what you were watching, Sissi.

Sissi, I heard it too, in the first airing, probably three times although I did not count them. They seemed to emphasize that it's being compared in CODIS weekly now, and that it's about the only clue left.

I missed the re-airing, but if everyone says so, it must have been edited out. We didn't make it up.

Did anyone time these airings? Maybe it's sometimes shortened? I don't remember a Dr. Pitt. I couldn't record either, videotapes won't go into the slot for some reason.

Okay. So, iow, it was two journalists, not an expert, who referred to it that way? I thought so.

I have the re-airing on tivo and watched it twice. I didn't see the show when it was first shown.

Dr. Steven Pitt appears a few times, including in the DNA segment at the end.

The word "caucasian" was used just twice in connection with the foreign DNA, first by Charlie Brennan and shortly after by the narrator, likely just repeating Brennan's phrase... so yes, Jayelles, we have Brennan to thank for this. No one else called it that.

YES!! It's been verified. The second show in it's local airing here did edit it out. I saw and heard Wise say "male caucasian dna last night"!!! It was a clip from the program, on of all places, a local magazine show.

Britt the other item, evidently edited out was a picture, slightly side view, of her face. It was incredible! I have a friend , who copied it, and is sending it . So yes! It was there. Gee...was starting to doubt myself. Neither CB nor the narrator were heard to say it on "our" second airing. Why the huge edit!!

edit to add, I hadn't read your post yet Eagle when I responded, thanks for verifying :)

Thanks.... Sorry, what is "incredible"?

This is the source for the "male, caucasian DNA"

[font=Times New Roman,Times,Times NewRoman][size=-1]BOULDER -- Assistant District Attorney Bill Wise apologized today for remarks made to officials Thursday implying Boulder police repeatedly mishandled the JonBenet Ramsey murder investigation and that ``one of the suspects has money.''

Jayelles the autopsy picture of the side of her face, indicated damage I had never imagined. Incredible damage, that's why I wanted to see it again, I sat up that night to watch it and it just wasn't there. It appeared in the "fleeting" image, that one eyebrow was higher than the other, and that her forehead bulged. Her back seemed "peppered" with strange marks, as well. All I saw in the second airing were some quick shots of pig skin . I have to wonder, if we all get the "same" content. Did the viewers in certain sections of the country only see what was shown "here" on the second airing, did they never see the full content? If so, perhaps that is another reason for us to think the "other" side fabricates?

It's all history now, the BPD did a lousy job, we all know it now. In '97 it was still anyone's guess.

I am opposed to the showing of a dead person's face in autopsy photos. I think it is very disrespectful - intrusive. I hope no-one posts that image.

The point is - Bill Wise has been retired for 6 years! He's well out of touch with the case.

I personally e-mailed a scientist working on the human genome project a couple of years ago and he said that it was NOT possible to determine race from nuclear DNA.

I understand that science has made some advances since then and that it *may* be possible (there have been some claims byt RST that it is possible, but I have not read anything from a credible source).

Either way - it wasn't possible when Bill Wise was working on the case so if he's saying that, he's probably ASSuming that the caucasian hair and male DNA are from the same person.

I will continue to be sceptical about this until I hear it from a credible source.

There is another , quite less scientific , method they could have used. The hair was caucasian, "if" they identified the dna from the hair and it matched the dna from the undies, they could safely say it was caucasian. The dna was identified and the information was publicly released as to the race of the killer of Susannah Chase.

The earlier of the above links was 2003 - three years after Bill Wise retired from the case.

I ask - we have scientists on one hand saying that it isn't possible to determine race from DNA and Bill Wise - retired lawyer on the other saying that DNA came from a white male.

Who do we believe?

What is ethnicity? I would describe myself as white/caucasian but there is rumour in our family that an ancestor may have been black (only because of his name I think). Still, it would explain why so many of my relatives on that side of the family are very dark with black curly hair!

I'm not dark, but perhaps I'm not white either.

If they've edited the program to leave out the part about the DNA being caucasian then I would assume that that was not a certainty and hasn't been proved after all.
