From a complete newcomer trying to catch up on the Long Island serial killings.....can anyone tell me is MG case against the doctor is still going?....Internet searches say it was thrown out??...and can anyone tell me if Shannon's 911 call recording have been released...and if not...WHY???....thanks in advance.

How is her case classified now - does anyone know? Is it a homicide? Cause of death undetermined and Dormer still claiming she drowned. The only reason to not release the tapes is if she was murdered and case is ongoing. Who knows???? Anybody? TIA

In the recent articles and tapes he mentions the position of her body making drowning unlikely, but still believes she succumbed to either the elements or drugs or a combination of both. He's entitled to his opinion just like us, and may have more evidence to base his on than we do. As to the tapes, Suffolk does not release 911 tapes/calls, period.

I thought 911 tapes fall under FOIA?

I'm not a lawyer and don't know for certain, but I'd imagine that Suffolk county has some sort of legal leg to stand on to justify their stance on this.

I think this was discussed on another thread several months ago. if memory serves, I believe that if it's an open investigation the FOIA doesn't apply. Don't quote me on that.

Here's the rub: She's been found and COD undetermined. Dormer implies that her case is closed. Is it?

According to John Ray's Facebook, CPH had his deposition taken. I guess the case is moving forward if it's in the deposition phase.

This is insane.....it has taken more than 3 years to get this far.

Ummmmm.... they only grind this slow when there is nothing substantial to sink any teeth into. It is clear now that the filing of this lawsuit was nothing more than a legal & formal way to allow further questioning of all parties involved through depositions. Keep in mind too that this is now only strictly classified as a MEDICAL MALPRACTICE case. There are hundreds of such cases pending in the court system. There is no priority here and expect there to NEVER be an actual trial!
