Criminal Defense Attorney for Casey - Linda Kenney Baden

Hi. You all know I am dumb when it comes to Law. Still I cant figure how JB. didnt realize JAC would never pay all the Out of town help!! He knew in the beginning KC.didnt have a pot to **** in,why ask them? Does he think it looks good to have all of them jumping ship? I'm sure Fla.has many very adept lawyers who could have handled all this carp!! NO B. had to look like the big shot,or is that chit!!! The high paid lawyers wont be back unless they have to. Serves B. right.IMO :croc:

P.S. I often wonder if there is an issue over who runs the ship. Some DP'd or not may want to lead the flock.:wink wink:

Well, if he's pro-bono I think he can.

I was originally thinking they would just appoint a public defender (and extend the trial date), but apparently there are others on the team that are death qualified.

I give Mason, oh, about 3 months. I think that will be part of his New Year's Resolution/gift to himself- to begin 2011 by saying bye-bye to this unwinnable, disaster prone trial.

I don't think he's having fun.

I think he will suffer from a face-saving 'illness' just as they are getting ready for trial.

I think JB is in a world of hurt. People are really giving him a hard time on fb...

Poor baby. Have they duct taped his nose and mouth shut and left him triple bagged as trash yet?
I'd sure like that. :woohoo:He doesn't know hurt IMHO.

I've got $50 that says Jose painted *quite* a different picture to get her on board originally.

Surprise, surprise, surprise........

Earth to Linda: Don't let Baez manage the money.

IMO this has nothing whatsoever to do with money. Publicity is it's own currency and I believe LKB was banking on that. If she could have planted reasonable doubt with the forensics and experts she had, I think she'd still be on the case via skype, fighting for her clients supposed innocence.
Imagine the publicity, talk shows, law school lectures and possible book and movie deals if she had managed to plant some reasonable doubt and KC, the most hated woman in America walked??
I really think the defense experts came up with nothing pointing to anyone but KC and that's why she's leaving. :twocents:

I think his facebook is public

I know it was when he complained that evil bloggers stole his vacation photos that were set to public and threatened to sue but is it still? I've tried looking for him but had no luck. Id love to give him a hard time!! lol!:innocent:

One of the biggest mistakes (of many) that the ICA Defense made was to motion to have HHJS removed from the case. Big mistake. HHJP is a dream and was badly needed for this case to keep it on track, ensure it goes to trial in 2011 and, to keep everyone honest.

Having said that, HHJP has taken the wind out of the Defense sails and has eliminated much of the game playing and shenanigans ... they are facing a lot of arduous hard work for next to nothing. Time for those just along for the publicity and ride to cut their losses and move on. IMO

HHJP is no Judge ITO

Thanks...that's what I needed to know. So she went down there...deposed...but doesn't feel the need to attack the scientists' findings? She's gonna leave that for someone else to do? Huh?

I know why. I happened to catch a tour of the "Body Farm" on TV the other day, they are doing some real stuff. It is going to be hard to dismiss that as "junk science" -- it will speak volumes on the context of the research and the work that they do.

This isn't playing with words to describe the remains ... it is real stuff.

I do miss sitting on a rainbow... :)

Reagan, I agree with your comments about the "slugs". :) But I really don't think HHJP will let anything delay this case beyond the scheduled trial in May of 2011..... I think he would deny a motion to withdraw for any specific attorney before he would let that happen.

I can't help but feel that if Finnell's motion for expenses to be covered is not granted, she will be the next to bail.....

If you watch her in the first hearing with Cheny you will see that was her goodbye. This is not about the money, it is something wholly different. IMO

Personalities? Originally LKB was the lead with JB as a figurehead, she stepped aside as forensics lead when AL joined ... when CM joined I should imagine there was a LOT of friction with both AL and LKB with CM.

CM brought in his own team that are used to his ways but also, in many ways it leaves JB as a lame duck who CM humors at times as pretend lead.

I went to the Body farm. This is a quote from Micheal Baden MD. about Bill Bass.
"the real-life father of forensic anthropology."

— Michael Baden, MD, author and former chief NYC medical examiner.

There wasnt much more,I've never copied a quote before but I know we cannot use it all. I wonder if two heads were put together! I was a bit surprised to read it but it sort of verifies honesty and all from Bill Bass' Farm.

Anyone who would like to look

You mean with CM and team in place it leaves JB - sitting at the grown-up table acting like the immature, unprepared, uncouth adolescent - media hound that ICA hired? :waitasec:

This is just my opinion, but I think he is running out of options and he will try to make Casey take a plea...

And everyone from LE to Nancy Grace will catch the blame from Jose.
