just FYI I was also a foster child AND now a foster mom and I can guarantee you children AND animals are safe in my home.

I did change it in my other post to almost never. There are some that are wonderful, but the ones who are not are left to harm the children without supervision and accountability. I want to see the whole system overhauled and make it safe for ALL children under their care.

Haleigh's family relocates

SATSUMA - In conjunction with friends, Crystal Sheffield, Haleigh Cummings' mother, is creating a new headquarters for people to stop by with any information regarding her missing daughter.

"I know a lot of people that want to help and don't know how," Jeremiah Regan, a friend of the Sheffields, said. "The building will be open 24 hours a day with an open-door policy, even if people just want to stop by and give their blessings for the family."

Located off U.S. 17 in Satsuma, the building is hard to miss, considering it is painted purple.

"Pink and purple are Haleigh's favorite colors," Regan said.

Has it been confirmed that Crystal is trying to get custody?
I hope she does. It seems to me that she is the only parent who is seriously concerned for Haleigh. There was a news article that she's getting up a headquarters for tips about Haleigh. She (was going) on searches - I don't know if she still is. She isn't going to NY to for interviews (that can be done via satellite if it really isn't about a honeymoon), she isn't getting tattoos or getting married. And for RC to say that this custody thing is just taking the focus off Haleigh - like Crystal is bad for doing so, then he is 10x's worse for getting married, getting a tattoo, going on honeymoons... er, I mean, interviews in NY. I am just so frustrated and I feel that Crystal is doing all she can and I really pray for them now.

Custody thing may be about animosity between Sheffield and Cummings families which could wait, or about concern for JR's safety and development. If it's the latter and there are real reasons to be worried about him, poor little JR deserves a little focus on him too.

Usually a bloody custody battle is just about the last thing that a child who has just lost a sibling needs because the child will probably get the shortest stick if his parents lose all ability to work together, but I can sympathize with why Crystal might feel it's necessary to seek custody since any parent would think it highly suspicious and scary that the person on whose watch the child disappeared didn't answer LE's questions in a satisfying manner ASAP and the ex's family seems to be making excuses for that person.

People would really be bashing Crystal if she wasn't trying to get custody of Junior right now!

PUTNAM COUNTY, FL -- Attorney Kim Picazio says she first came to Putnam County this week to help Crystal Sheffield, Haleigh Cummings' mother, handle the media.

"I believe they called me so the family could have someone to turn to for advice on who they should talk to. They didn't know who to trust," Picazio explained.

Now Crystal has come up with more that Rj supposedly said and it is huge. She declared on JVM that Rj said the "couch was bouncing"!! WTH?! I didn't hear him say that on Geraldo when she was grilling him so where did this come from and when?!

I wonder why she is spreading so much stuff out there. It is really distracting from the investigation of Haleigh's disappearance. But, maybe that's her goal.

I highly doubt it, but anything's possible. He's only 4 I doubt he's saying half this stuff. Especially after all this time.

It has crossed my mind that Jr. may have told this to LE when they interviewed him on February 10 as well. We know LE isn't telling us much- so we cannot rule out anything that Jr might have said.

Kids have a great gift for knowing when it's ok to say something and when it's not. If Jr got a bad vibe and knows subconsiously that something bad happened to his Sissy because she saw something that Misty didn't want daddy to see, he could be clamming up around Ron and talking to his mother as he feels comfortable because nothing bad happened when he and Sissy were with Mommy.

That poor little boy.

I just hear that about the couch, what couch? was there a couch in the bedroom? I don't think so. I want some one to go bounce on the couch in the living room to see if that can be hear in the bedroom.
The last time I hear someone said they could hear a couch bounce, was my daughter when she was about 8 and we had a babysitter, that babysitter never baby sit again, (that not the whole story but that all I am saying)
