They were never married. This doctor's note was asked for this year.

I'm not as up on this situation as I should be, but I'm going to guess that CS didn't have an attorney representing her at the divorce. Did RC?
CS was asked to provide a doctor's note, which she did, but the Judge couldn't read it so he/she asked CS to get another one.

I don't know what everyone's experiences are with Doctors, but it is like pulling teeth to get something in writing from one of them unless you are able to speak directly with them at a doctor's appointment. Getting a note REWRITTEN would be almost impossible. You could call the nurse and get another copy of the note, but not a brand new rewritten one.
I think this particular incident has more to do with CS not having representation than her being lazy.

It was Crystal's OWN attorney requesting the note, not a judge. Crystal has never been married, so I'm not sure what is meant by being represented at the divorce.

Oh, derp. I'm jumping between two threads. I know she and RC weren't married. I was referring to the custody hearing.

I stand by what I said. CS produced the note from the doctor. If she had representation then I believe it was the attorney's job to call or write the doctor's office for clarification. I highly doubt that goes against HIPPA. Even if there were HIPPA complications CS could sign a document giving her attorney access to whatever was on that note.

I'm confused by this statement. All this info. about the note came from the bar docs. that CS filed against her own attorney. She did have representation, she had an attorney, Kim P. She is the one who begged and badgered CS for months and months to get a note. You can see the note in the docs. produced by Kim in the rebuttal. It is illegible, if my Dr. would have handed me that note, I would have said, I can not read this, can you have one typed and just sign it, it is for a court matter and I want everyone to be able to read it. It's not that difficult to get a Drs. note typed and then signed by the Dr. This was the note Kim P. was going to use to ask for a suspension of CS for Crystal. So again, she did have representation. Sometimes you have to help yourself,you can not depend on someone else to do everything for you. There has to be some responsibility.

So then Crystal did actually produce the documentation her attorney needed to go forward in a legal procedure, and the attorney did not go through with her job. Thanks for clearing that up, Curve!!

She did get the note.......now we have to ask what the real reason was that the attorney didn't file the paperwork. Shame.

JMO two very different things. I think getting a doctors note was probably not possible, so she avoided it. Her reputation and people talking about her is a different matter, and one she stated in the past was a concern of hers.

BBM--I believe with every fiber of my being that a doctor ministering to the mother of a missing child would provide a note on her behalf...this would not be out of the norm by any means..JMO etc....

Wonder why Crystal's new attorney hasn't handled any of these "filings" for Crystal.

Is the new attorney pro bono as well? I have a child with disabilities and my sixteen year old son broke his back in football, while in school, so I have had to make a request for a doctors note or two, by the way both mine and the schools lawyers asked for the doctor's notes. Anyway, I was paying my lawyer and he still asked me to get the note. Of course I did.

Seems like people are quick to excuse irresponsibility and push the blame onto a lawyer that left her own family to go and help a mother that she thought was grieving and needed help. minus 70,000 dollars later the same lawyer is going to be blamed for not personally asking for a doctor's note? Look, I wasn't too thrilled with KP and her objectives, but I see someone who refused to make excuses for Crystal and that is what Crystal needs, as long as people continue to make excuses for her she will never be accountable for her own mistakes. jmo

She got a note that wasn't admissible in a court of law by her own lawyers opinion. I think when you are going to court to get your child support reduced you might want the judge to be able to read the reason you can't go to work.

No one is making excuses except KP for why she didn't follow through. people are saying KP thought the note wasn't good enough......How would she know if the note was never submitted with the paperwork that KP was supposed to file on behalf of Crystal? Guess we'll never know now.

Crystal can only be protected from the trouble she has caused for just so long; it is time that all involved are held accountable. Ron, Misty, Crystal and many others. This case has become all about them and not Haleigh anyways. Haleigh is the victim not anyone else. I am so sick of hearing about the tainted saints in this case all together. Ron is and was everything he has probably been accused of. Misty will probably be charged with endangerment for leaving the children alone that night and possible a more serious charge if HaLeigh is found not alive. Amber Brooks and Nay Nay ARE involved and soon enough we will see how, why and if any charges will be filed against them. This still does not account for IMO the guilty and the ones who actually committed this crime, but, you all know my theory involves Crystal and her Family. I believe Chad and Sarah her sister went to the Cummings MH that night and removed HaLeigh for Crystal and her entire family are guilty of Hiding HaLeigh. All of them will pay for their mistakes one day.

Exactly. Presenting that note to a judge would be a colossal waste of time and resources as it is not in any way legible. It would not have even been able to be considered because there is NO WAY to read it.

Actually, imo, you are making excuses for Crystal because she is the person that was asked to get the note. Hopefully you have read the Bar documents thoroughly because that is the only way that you would know that KP repeatedly texted and emailed, not only Crystal but Marie, that she needed a legible note.On one occassion it was the eve before a doctors appointment. KP even explained what was going to happen if she didn't get these things.

If you were in litigation debs, with a pro bono attorney, and that attorney asked you to remember a note for a judge, would you tell the attorney to get it herself?
