CT- Annie Le, missing from Yale, thread #4 FOUND DECEASED

LE took her camera from her home today, were at her house only 15 minutes, so apparently the camera is the only thing they wanted. What importance may that be? I haven't seen any discussion of the intense competition between research projects, pharm companies, data, etc.

or

Could she have made pictures of mis-treatment of lab animals & that guy felt his job was threatened.....from # 413 above:

yikes!!! MISSED THIS ON ANIMAL TECH BEING SUSPECT!

I think he did take his shirt off and thats what they found in the ceiling. Wounds prob jive with the blood stains on the shirt. His dna will be under her fingernails.

I hope the guy/perp has the opportunity to have a cellmate fall in love with him while he's waiting for his date with mr needle.

Can someone pleeez pleeez send me the list of people that was posted earlier? thanks.

just google (and look at cached copy): Bennett Lab Members

At first I thought it was the one with the FM initials - but now I'm thinking it could be the asian name that is listed as Research Technician.

Have you ever read the Sandra Cantu case? It will knock your socks off as to what a woman is capable of doing.

I did! I followed it closely. As I said, it is MY stereotype that a woman wouldn't be the most likely suspect. Stuffing a body up and into a chase and stuffing bloody clothes in a ceiling is certainly not something I visualize most woman as having the strength do to. I would be very surprised if the perp turned out to be a woman.

FYI, before I go, Annie's position was in all probability a paid position...she probably got a salary for being part of the research team, free room & board, free medical insurance & free tuition. This is very common to pay researchers/students, especially ones that are willing to teach - it's a win-win situation for all involved, but mostly the university benefits if a discovery is made and patents are brought into play b/c they would be the ones that would own it since the student is actually their employee. Ok, I really have to go now. Will be back...

Hi... I don't know how helpful this could possible be, but I decided to look around Yale's web site to see if I could narrow down some names of possible suspects after the news of a lab technician possibly being involved.

I went to the Biology department's section of Yale's web site and chose faculty and on the left hand side of the page I chose Lab Staff.

You can find a name of the lab staff in the biology department as well as their building location, but they use abbreviations. I can't quite figure out which staff members are said to be located in the building Annie was in.

Is this information valuable or completely pointless? I don't post here very often.

bolded by me.

They say no one has been charged but the suspect "is not at large" ? How does that work?

Columbo, isn't that what LE did in Hasanni's case. Arrested for homicide and held for 72 hours with no formal charges?

NEW HAVEN — Detectives have strong leads in the slaying of Yale graduate student Annie Le and interest is focused on a lab technician who works in the building where the body was found Sunday, multiple police sources confirmed Monday.

The Yale employee has been under the law enforcement microscope since before Annie Le's body was found Sunday in a mechanical chase in the basement of the 120,000 square foot building.

He had scratches on his chest, as if he were in some type of a struggle, which drew police attention, the sources confirmed

Hope that means they have his DNA under her fingernails... Poor Annie, I feel so bad for her fiance and family too.

Hi, Columbo, it might mean that the lab technician suspect lawyer's have assured that he will remain at a specific location and the police have that place under 24 hour surveillance.

It's a pretty vague term, isn't it?

According to the law enforcement source in the New Haven Independent report the technician works in the animal testing lab not in the Bennett lab of the list. They are two different places.

But didn't it say he worked with animal testing? I thought from that the lab tech might not be part of her team but worked in the same building.

Please, just keep any names to an initial at most......even if it is a lab tech....it could have been ANY lab tech. It doesn't mean that it was the tech in HER lab/s!

Exactly. LE probably wouldn't be trying to figure out if she knew him if he was the lab tech in her lab. But who knows with the way the info on this case seems to change hourly.

There was one lab technician on Annie's team of eight.

That won't be the guy. I am making a prediction (actually repeating what I predicted yesterday) that it will be an animal care technician that works in the animal facility in the basement of Amistad. Everything fits, all of it.

We know that's where she was headed at 10AM. He would be very familiar with the area, especially with where the body was placed. He would have access to the facility. He would have seen her every time she went there to work with her animals- they may have chatted occasionally and she would not have feared him. He would have had access to a locker room/shower and multiple sets of scrubs, since you do not wear street clothes or lab coats for that work.

I believe he finally approached her, it went badly and he killed her during the struggle. It was a small amount of blood on the "clothes" maybe it was his, or she had a nosebleed. I am guessing he strangled her in a panic to prevent her from screaming and alerting other techs in the facility. Hid her body in the nearest possible place, took a shower and changed, hid the scrubs in the ceiling and clocked out at noon for lunch.

I am familiar with these facilities, so I am thinking I will not have to eat too much crow!!

I think that this website has been sanitized. At least, I can't get any names.
Chan,
When you do the google search... do not click on the link... click on cashed (it is in small blue letters)

this makes complete and utter sense to me as well.

That is a very good prediction.
