Perfect day for body part hunting....NOT! The torso was discovered @ Crown Street, a second empty building in the "complex". The area is a small collection of vacant buildings with a parking lot (shared) and in a section between George & Crown Streets. It was/is HOT & sticky within the buildings (yep, all were searched) & thank heavens for the dogs who honed into various "spots"! The torso is now in the custody of the OCME, others remain searching for more evidence et al. (Private info for my WS friends.......on-site blood typing gave a preliminary match to Mr. Roberson's).

The reports were shocking. Human legs found just feet from a sidewalk on Court Street, near the State Street Station, in one of the most well-traveled spots in the city...

The remains were that of Ray Roberson. He was a New Haven native who had fallen on hard times and was now homeless.

No arrests have been made in his murder. But another man was found in a building, close to where Roberson’s torso was discovered. Dave Andaz was arrested for criminal trespass and sentenced to two and half years in jail for a parole violation... Carty said Andaz and Roberson knew each other. That they were friends even.

Prosecutors mentioned to Carty that his client could be a potential suspect in the Roberson murder, but lacked any credible evidence linking Andaz to the crime.

Roberson's head and hands have still not been found.
