but there are others with titles about stars and of course plenty with stars as subject matter. So maybe "starry nights" really means on the nights she was read to by the perp??

Also, from the girls description ("and it felt like rain") she was being ejaculated upon. So how did no one coming into her room in the morning notice the smell of semen?? Because it was already cleaned up maybe?? So a stranger in the house not only molests her and ejaculates on her, but then has the time to clean it all up so that no one notices?? And this neighbor, Barry, was 300 pounds and he moved around in the house without making a sound??????

How would this man have gotten in through a bedroom window? I don't know many 300 pound people who could climb through a window without making a peep

Any new updates on this case? One of the articles I read said the police wouldn't have another press conference until they had determined the veracity of the abuse allegations. I'm surprised we haven't heard more.

I don't know that it looks good for the abuse allegations - seems to me it wouldn't take this long to have some confirmation - the victim's fingerprints in the girls room, some physical damage, some info from the child.

Such a tragedy! Can't help but feel sorry for all involved, but it's difficult to understand why the father acted the way he did, so quickly, without proof and only the very unclear statement of a 2-year-old.

Can't help but wonder if some psychobabble isn't at fault in some way, here.

I think so too. I believe more will come out about this family. Something is very wrong. Wonder if they will charge the mother with a false report. The whole thing has been fishy from the get-go.

The child didn't want to go home because she was frightened by the neighbor. He came to her "in the starry nights" and put "it" on her tummy. To me this sounds like more than some childish fantasy. Those who have definitively decided there was no molestation - are they really sure, or are they like the people who let the man in the gorilla suit escape?

If Le announces to the public that there was "no merit" to the claim of "abuse" of this toddler, the parents of the "victim" allowed Le "liberal access" to their house, an interview was again conducted with the child, and at the end of all of their "through" investigation came to the conclusion that "no abuse" had taken place. Then LE has done their job, investigated the "criminal offence and complaint" of abuse and found no evidence of such, then I am satisified.

I always "thought" that the toddlers claim, the timing, the wording, was suspect from the very start.

I have yet to hear an explanation as to how the alleged perpetrator could have gotten into the house without the parents and the dogs hearing him. It just never made sense. :waitasec:

I wonder about the little girl's age. Was she barely two, or was she two, almost three. Her sex story sounds real, but when the logistics of how he got into the house and got her alone is examined, it doesn't make sense.

I have tried to make sense of this case since day one. I have come to the conclusion that I think this father was hyper-vigilant, maybe a little naive where the mere thought of something sexual against his child was so offensive it caused him to totally overact. I think he has issues. Makes me wonder if he was molested as a child.

I see nothing that shows me a guy that had no record suddenly becomes a murderer just for the hell of it. I think he just couldn't digest this when told and to him looking through very narrow minded eyes he just couldn't cope with even the hint that the neighbor had done something.

I think he was fanatical is his thoughts and probably entrenched in his religious beliefs and was more than straight laced ..imo he was rigid.

It is so horrible what he did..he certainly should pay dearly for what he did to his neighbor. He had other options rather than murder. As a lawyer, he knew all about going further with the Court if this was told to him.

I am so glad that law enforcement has done what they can to clear Barry's name. He was murdered brutally and unjustly in the sanctity of his home...it doesn't get much worse than that.

I wonder if Edington will be made to undergo some type of psychiatric evaluation. What he did based on the information he had was, IMHO, way outside the bounds of "normal" human behavior. He is pretty obviously a danger to society and yet he is walking around free.

I wonder if the wife will be charged. I still believe there was something very sick in that husband-wife dynamic and that the wife possibly shoulders some of the responsibility.

Edington does have at least one incident of inappropriate violence that we know of in his past - he was arrested for destroying a planned parenthood display. I'll be family and friends could tell of plenty other strange, aggressive situations involving him.

Based on his crime, I would say he was filled with rage. I also agree that there is probably a rigid religious component to whatever thoughts led to his actions.
