More at Police Search For Danbury Delivery Driver Whose Car Was Found On Fire

Last Thursday Police executed search warrants at a home and surrounding property on Ball Pond Road near Pondcrest Road. Police didn't say how Reyes was connected to the resident. Officers were also seen checking out the nearby pond, along with storm drains.

"They were able to recover some video surveillance footage and some other items associated with the missing person but that was the extent of it," Williams told News 12. "I can't go into detail on the other items as it is an ongoing investigation."

Same guy?

Both Christopher Lemke, 16, and AB, 17, who face charges of conspiracy to commit second-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary, were charged Feb. 22. They were held at New Milford police headquarters on $250,000 bail until they were arraigned in Litchfield Superior Court Feb. 23.

Mr.B has been ordered to return to Superior Court next Tuesday, while Mr. Lemke has been ordered to return to court next Friday.

Article states he was known to wear 3 gold chains with gold pendants. Robbery perhaps?

I noticed "CL" was wearing some gold in his booking photo - hope LE has a good look at those:

I wish there was more attention on this case.
This young man seems like he is a good, hardworking person that ended up with a bad individual in his vehicle.
It doesn't look good right now, but I am hoping that somehow good news will come through.

Danbury Weather on fb has a post 3 days ago that says “today Danbury police confirm Christopher Lemke is connected to the ongoing disappearance of Carlos Reyes.” That doesn’t seem hopeful.

Not looking good at all. The man "fled through the woods and emerged in a nearby neighborhood, where he entered an unlocked residence and kidnapped a person gunpoint fleeing the scene in a stolen car."

Stolen car, kidnapping :(

The age for Lemke is right…almost certainly the same guy.

The article right above says he’s 33, but same name. Misprint?

I am hoping so, too, but it does NOT look good. Lemke appears to have been a life-long low rider, and his behavior after Reyes’ disappearance seems to appear as if he wanted to avoid being picked up by the police because he’d committed a terrible crime. The fact that Tetes’ car ended up in Brewster, tells me that there is also someone else involved in the disappearance, because Lemke would have needed a ride out of NY after ditching Reyes’ car and torching it.

That article was printed in 2005, so 17 years ago, which makes him 33 now.
Thanks. Sorry I missed the date. Trying to multitask too many things.

So was CR delivering food or is this someone he knew and thought was a friend? I hope they find him soon.

It hasn’t been expressly stated, as far as I know. But it appears the Lemke may have used an opportunity to commit a crime against a delivery person in the past.

People suck sometimes. This poor guy is just trying to make some money and he apparently got ambushed when he showed up to make a delivery. I hope they find CR soon and he’s ok. If he isn’t I hope they get his assailant and throw the book at him. This is terribly sad.
