New London police issue bulletin for missing 14-year-old boy

New London _ New London police have issued a silver alert for a 14-year-old boy missing since Tuesday.

Carlos Roldon, is described as white/Hispanic, with brown hair and brown eyes, five feet two inches tall and 80 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a royal blue Grasso Tech sweatshirt and tan pants. Anyone with information about his location is asked to call New London police at 860-447-5269.

** I believe that the correct spelling of his name is Roldan.

This is not the first time that Carlos has gone missing. He ran away when he was 12, in Feb 2020 -- taking his mother's SUV -- and was found in Ansonia nearly a week later. Following are links from that incident, and a picture from 2020. There is no current picture.

What is making him do this? Problems -- real or perceived? In the pic above, he looks well-cared-for and healthy. Is there someone in Ansonia that drew him there? We need more info, as usual. Hoping he is not in danger.

In the linked interview with his mother she said that the first time he went missing he was found the next day, down the street with older kids. He went missing with the stolen car a few days later. During the week he was missing, he and a teen were stealing from a Walmart in Cromwell, and then were in a crash with the teen driving the stolen SUV. It seems that he got involved with some older kids who are bad news -- I hope it isn't a gang.
