Edgar Rodriguez's body, found on 10/21/1989, on the Bridgetown Hydraulic property, but the link says Newtown, 1/4 mile east of Redding.

Is there anyone else closer to that area that could tell us more about the property? Redding and Newtown are rather upscale towns, some with farms and such. Just seems a random place to dump bodies, unless the perpetrator worked for BHC?

Wish I could find more info on this case but there seems to be nothing online. Wondering if Edgar had some connection to the company who owned the property.

They are wealthy / upscale towns that are very woodsy and somewhat rural. The BHC took over a ton of people's land through eminent domain back in the day, in order to build reservoirs -- it was a whole controversy. So the land where he was found is probably mainly unoccupied forest, which is why it was a good place to hide a body.

While it's quite safe in general, Newtown in particular has been the location of a couple of very famous crimes: the Sandy Hook school shooting and the "wood chipper" murder of Helle Crafts.
