They said Elizabeth Rykhof was reported missing by her family who thought she moved somewhere local.
However, they said they don't know where Rykhof is currently living and they have not been able to contact her after she moved.
They said they are concerned.

[h=1]'It's A Nightmare': Body Buried In Bloomfield Wetland Was Missing Woman[/h]
Rykhof, a fun-loving 56-year-old mother with a passion for makeup and hairstyling, had last spoken to her family in mid-August. But since then, not a word. They posted on social media asking if anyone had heard from her and worked with a Bloomfield police detective in the hopes of tracking her down.

On Monday, police identified the remains buried in town as Rykhof.

“It’s a nightmare,” Elizabeth’s mother, Florence Rykhof, said Monday morning. “You think it’s not real, that she will be coming home.”

It was the detective’s efforts in this case, police say, that led them to the burial site in the wetland — now freshly turned dirt dotted with roses left by a friend.
After a brief stay at the family’s Hyde Road home, Rykhof had moved in with a boyfriend at a condo complex about a half-mile from where she was found dead last Thursday.

Rykhof’s family last heard from her in mid-August when she called her mother to say she was in a rehab facility and she believed it was in Fairfield County. Albert Rykhof said his sister had gone to rehab for alcohol abuse, but also took medication for anxiety.

Police did not say Monday how they knew where to look for the body in the wetland on state property. No arrest had been made as of Monday evening, but they say there is a “criminal aspect” to the death.

Well, shouldn't there be a suspect if she was "buried"? Boyfriend? They are not saying how they knew where to look, but they did. Someone feeling the walls closing in??

LE saying there is a "criminal aspect" and saying this is a "suspicious death investigation" rather than saying it's homicide makes me think perhaps someone is claiming she overdosed and they panicked and hid her body. JMO. Hopefully the ME can determine a clear cause of death.
