Silver Alert issued for missing Norwich teen

Norwich — City police issued a Silver Alert on Saturday night for a missing 18-year-old.

Ethan Hester is described as a male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 6 foot 3 and weighs about 170 pounds. He went missing on Wednesday, according to the alert.

He was last seen wearing black pants, sneakers and jacket with a white button-up shirt, and he had an orange backpack.

Anyone with information on Hester’s location is asked to call Norwich police at (860) 886-5561.

Still missing. There's a little bit more information in the latest bulletin. The Norwich Police Facebook page that was linked can only be viewed by FB subscribers. I can never understand why some police departments don't have public pages -- it seems to be that it would be to their advantage for everyone to have access to their announcements.

Norwich police searching for missing 18-year-old

Norwich police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 18-year-old last seen leaving the Mohegan Sun Casino on Dec. 22.

On Sunday the department issued a Silver Alert for Ethan Hester, who was last spotted on a Southeast Area Transit District bus, or, SEAT bus, leaving the casino.

At the time, Hester was wearing a black jacket, a white button-down, black pants, and black shoes. He also wore glasses and carried an orange reflective backpack, the alert said.

Police continued to look for Hester as of Tuesday afternoon and ask anyone with information to call the department at 860-886-5561, Ext. 6.

Circumstances of Disappearance
Went to work at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT. The missing person was fired from his job that day and he left on a SEAT bus. The missing person went to New London, CT and got off the bus. No other known locations after getting off the bus. Habitual runaway, according to the reporting person, and known to frequent the New London, CT area.
