This article is bonkers. It's wild that the people at the bank data processing center heard a woman screaming and baby crying in the bathroom and then found a huge puddle of blood, but they never figured out what happened. You'd think an office that deals with bank data would have high security and therefore cameras.

I'm also confused about how a 15-year-old foster child or runaway could have ended up sneaking into the bank data processing center bathroom to give birth. It does seem like a strange coincidence that situation happened around the same time but it doesn't seem to match up with the details about the suspect that LO thinks was the mother.

I don't think it was a ritualistic killing, I think a young mother gave birth, panicked and didn't want anyone to know she had a baby. The coins might have been all the money she had on her and maybe she put them there as penance or a funerary offering. The fruit could have just been in the trash can and fell out, or was already on the ground next to it. Maybe the mother placed the fruit and coins on top of the plastic sheet that was covering the baby, as a way of weighing down the sheet and keeping it in place. She might have had the coins and/or fruit on her, or just found the fruit in / around the trash can.

It also could have been another person who killed the baby - such as the baby's father or mother's boyfriend, husband, etc. It could have been the mother who put the coins, fruit, and clothes wrapping the baby as a burial ritual.
