I've wondered how Dr. Carlos's present wife feels about his ongoing involvement with Michelle's situation, and how it affects their marriage. (I'm assuming he IS still married to someone who isn't Michi's mother)

Funny you should use the word 'shame'. Something there seems to be precious little of in some circles.

Has he nothing better to do than continually intercede? It's like the endless, surgical separation of the inmate from the natural consequences of her free choices.

I agree with you. I honestly don't think this family knows how else to function than dysfunctionally. I think MT could benefit from a total separation from her family screaming in her ear "you are innocent...we are going to fight for you...blah blah blah and sit in the quiet of her cell reflecting on her past horrific decisions and owning them. That's adulting (she's 40+ years old, for crying out loud).

But based on my loose math, I do believe that the inmate celebrated her big 5-0 in prison, party of 1.

Fitting maybe because her family treats her like she's five minus zero.

I think @Tink56 took one for the team, and read the petition -- maybe they'll chime in here and confirm what MT alleged about Fotis hiring Bowman. But I absolutely agree about MT most likely rewriting history!

In the petition MT states FD hired Attorney Bowen and claims Bowen did not protect her from LE and LE interviews.

This is followed by pages of "Background and Procedures" during MT's fictional and/or newly remembered memories. I did not go back and review the content.

This family and the court system needs to put this case in the closed file. Maybe if the end of the legal road is reached, MT can settle into her new reality and start helping others reach in their healthy life styles and teach them the behavior of winners. (snark intended...sorry)

FD's core value was winning....at all costs. If my memory serves me correctly, Jennifer noted that trait in her first divorce filing and request for protection. Tragically, the judge who initially heard that plea, and the rest of the legal system didn't/couldn't believe/help her.

He certainly did protect her, but she wasn't having it. She wanted to continue to lie over and over and over again and dismiss his advice. I think his strength is assessing the possibility of a plea and getting the best plea deal for his clients and once he realized that wasn't even possible with MT's insistence on telling multiple new stories, multiple lies and defending Fotis, he suggested she hire a new attorney that would better suit her very serious situation. She didn't want a plea and she was clearly going to trial. I'm sure this appeal will die a natural death. Unfortunately, the delusional family (and I mean all members...Carlos is NOT an M.D.) will spin their crazy talk on how the state wronged them once again, but I seriously doubt they will find anything that Bowman did wrong. He's quite a respectable and impressive attorney with many years of experience.

I don’t think anyone forced her to speak to them (the cops)-MT and clan are delusional if they think Bowman didn’t give her guidance about it. I watched John Kimball interrogate her-they had it figured out before they talked to her for the first time, and so did Bowman. They all knew she helped him, and everybody tried to give her a chance to save herself, by telling what she knew about FD’s activities. It was her choice alone to try to keep both herself and FD out of trouble-she really did think she was too smart for them. She should have just thought for a minute about how he was letting her talk to the police, while he refused. I guess she didn’t count on FD taking himself out, though, because once he was gone, her last chance to save herself was over. I wonder if she realized it at the time, or if she thought she’d be off the hook with him gone?

She's survived by grifting & manipulating, which doesn't help when in a legal bind for murder. I don't think she thought out many of the possible scenarios, just simply focused on greed. I still wish Kent Mawhinney would sit down and answer some critical questions, but that wouldn't be in his best interest. Now, he's smart and quite clever and knows how to work the legal system.

I agree that there is no evidence that she is smart or clever…but I believe she thinks she is persuasive. And she certainly attempted to manipulate the detectives-like when she claimed, more than once, to be having sex in semi-unusual places, 2 times on the day Jennifer was murdered. I do think she was trying to refocus Det. Kimball on her in a sexual way, rather than on the murder, but it didn’t work.

Thank you for the alert and Cliffs Notes @LosAngeles …. you have graciously spared others by viewing that…... and just checking, I thought it meant ‘fully’ convinced of the convicted defendant’s guilt.

Rightfully convicted IMO. As was I imagine anyone’s view that watched the trial, entered evidence, and wonderful closings by Michelle Manning and Sean McGuinness, CT states attorneys. And the court decorum, presence, and work of judge Kevin Randolph and the jury. And those 30 or so coincidences.

IMO I fail to see why this defendant, the family, and others continue to disparage the process and outcome which this defendant IMO brought upon themselves. MOO

Frankly I don't care how loving and community minded MT may have been. You knowingly participate in the murder of anyone -- in this case, a vibrant mother of five children -- you lose all your gold stars.

Skeletal remains were found in North Greenwich on 9/18, at a construction site. This isn’t all that far from New Canaan, and there are no other details at the moment. I doubt it’s Jennifer, but I hope it is, for her family’s sake.

They don’t give the address but this area - north Greenwich -is easily accessible from New Canaan - 11-12 ish miles - and can be easily accessed by back roads or hoping on the Merritt ( Rt 15) and off in Greenwich on Round Hill Ave.

“State police assisted Greenwich police in the investigation. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner also responded to take the remains.

Preliminary investigation indicates that they are to be of considerable age.”

Hard to know how old “considerable age”is.

Just what I was thinking, regarding distance. But the part about “considerable age” makes me think that this person’s remains have been there much longer than 6 years. I mean, 200 years old? I’ve been rolling this around in my head since last night, and wondering who it could be-if this was a family plot, for example, there would be some evidence of a humane burial. The article I read called it a construction site-but I wonder if it was just a wooded lot 6 years ago. I’m not under the impression that Dulos had any sites in Greenwich, but maybe it was just “land” in 2019.
