Psychologist was James Pier in West Hartford. MT was arrested in his office by the police on the day of the appointment and Bowman was present for the arrest.

MT's counsel was trying to make it known that Bowman requested an interpreter for her psych eval but his answer was much more mild.
I explained that she was from Latin America and if someone had those skills at the office that may be helpful.

Not like she doesn't understand or comprehend english.

I really wonder if State is pushing on the issue for purposes of the appeal? I'm not sure there is precedent for that happening but to expose the MT phone at an appeal hearing would be fascinating and close so many of the open loops and questions I think.

FWIW I never understood WHY there was no appeal by the State of the MT phone.

Fascinating as an aside --

Questioning a defense attorney under oath for practices all defense attorneys use -- putting their client in the best light, even if it requires magical lighting.
