I'm not getting this. It's not like he is making 6 figures doing this case.85 hrs plus travel time has been billed plus today's time.

BINGO!Oooof Fitz has had 9 out of 10 of habeas cases denied. Do I have that right?

I wonder if they think he is just billing a little more when he already has familiarity with the case and if he is not usually successful in getting anything for the client in these cases. Kind of nasty if that is it but since the whole process involves saying B was not competent, maybe just deserts. I think that people criticize professionals for "sticking together" (drs, attys) but when they do not, it can also seem ugly IMO.I'm not getting this. wonder about that.... also wonder what he told the Triconises... might have told them that these cases are usually not winnable but they wanted to try anyway. IMOYeah, but he never checked to see the results so.....
This is wild though from the standpoint of going after someone with Bowmans experience and trackrecod and this being done by someone who truly isn't in his league imo. There have to be a handful of defense attorneys that operate in this jurisdiction consistently and Bowman has a long track record of keeping people out of trial and prison when they do ill advised things and so he is known to work effectively with police and states attorneys as a well known 'fixer'. Bowman has the ability to do this both on a state level and federal level. I do not think that Fitzgerald can make claim either to the longevity or success of Bowmans career and all he does is throw around his tie to the Skacel case and my recollection on that is that there were MANY other issues present that drove that situation other than the ones Fitzgerald provided an opinion on.I wonder if they think he is just billing a little more when he already has familiarity with the case and if he is not usually successful in getting anything for the client in these cases. You just made me think that was the reason the state wanted to bring up all of his other losses because he sure did toss around the Skacel case like you said. This is wild though from the standpoint of going after someone with Bowmans experience and trackrecod and this being done by someone who truly isn't in his league imo. But, I think what I found so offensive today was the wild speculation and allowing speculation as to the actions of another attorney and without allowing rebuttal commentary from the person being in this case imo maligned. I hope Atty Bowman is recalled as otherwise this is nothing more than pure speculative nonsense based on comments from another defense attorney with subpar credentials and frankly significantly less experience.
Yes, ONE TRICK PONY!You just made me think that was the reason the state wanted to bring up all of his other losses because he sure did toss around the Skacel case like you said.
They brought up his losing record when he wanted to talk about his one win.
