I’d like to know how it is that Fitzpatrick gets to be the arbiter of what “competent counsel” would do?

He actually said that he wanted to understand why MT was so definitive that FD didn’t commit the murder.

Wonder if a discussion of being a psychopath ever came up in the evaluation?
Thanks to all that followed this for us! And the notes of proceedings. Thank you! ❤️ And that is a great question @BJarv ….

As I read that I wondered this…….. perhaps a not guilty, innocent, or uninvolved individual caught in something like this might have said ‘I’m not sure whether or not (fd) did it or did anything, but I wasn’t involved’.

Instead, the apparent insistence that he (fd) didn’t do it, someone knew perhaps well aware that their involvement would tie them up in it? And the continued insistence to press that sealed report for discussion or disclosure. Interesting that it persists. Maybe it is the only thing that one can hold onto? IDK. MOO

Anybody have an idea who was recording the hearing, against the judge’s instructions today?

Ah the 'blame the lawyer' line and him yelling it is simply wrong as MT was advised appropriately and she chose to do her own thing and play her own lawyer. MT was protected by Bowman but she I believe thought she knew better and now she wants a do over.
What about Michigan getting down on her knees , clinging to Bowmen’s legs pleading for mercy. He looked mortified

"Clinging" isn't the verb I'd use...

I don't know but I'll give you a couple of free guesses.

Very limited seated in the gallery. Not too many folks... was not someone from the media (if I understood the judge correctly).... so....

Some people don't think rules apply to them.

I question your priorities. (Kidding!)

Here's a nice 2.5 minute teaser --

Here she is, looking a gift horse in the mouth.

She is lucky she got a short sentence, running concurrent, reduced further.

Do your time, Inmate.

Me, too! I was able to attend some of her trial in 2024; these last two days of the hearing, I had to work both days (I only work part time because I’m old). But I wouldn’t mind being there when one of those Troconises get in trouble with the judge.

There is absolutely no comparing MT to a 'real' cooperating witness-- one who has the truth on his side, and knows that being honest does not include lying for Fotis!

Pawel spoke with investigators from 2019-2023, and didn't have a written Agreement from the State until Dec 2023 -- just weeks before he testified.

P Gumienny's Lawyer Speaks

2/7/24

Urso spoke to the media outside of court during a break, saying that his client just wants to get out of the spotlight and "get back to his life."

Urso commented on how his client may have been "too cooperative" with police during their search efforts for Jennifer.

"Early on, he was talking to the police against my advice,” Urso said. "He went in there and talked to the police before he hired me, before we had the immunity agreement."

Concerning Gumienny's immunity deal, it started as a verbal agreement between Urso and the state's attorney in 2019 and was put in writing in December 2023. It promised that Gumienny would not be charged with hindering prosecution if he cooperated with investigators.

"The immunity deal was originally not an ironclad, it was just sort of a conversation between myself and the state’s attorney," Urso said.

To Urso's understanding, "I don't think he's ever been a suspect."

When FOX61 asked Urso what people should know about his client, he answered, "He’s a very hard-working family man and he just wants to get this [expletive] show behind him.”

2/7/24

Gumienny said Fotis Dulos also asked him to write down his whereabouts around the time Jennifer Dulos disappeared, but he refused.

“I was surprised," Gumienny said. “I told him, ‘What am I going to do? If police is going to come over and ask me, I’m going to pull out a piece of paper and read it to them?’ ”
