Interesting: I just looked and while Google Maps does announce the state when you enter, Waze doesn’t.

Also, apparently Waze keeps a record of your drives when you use it—on their servers, it seems to say.

I don’t think we can delete posts. You can edit it and delete and save it. Hahaha. Yea waze doesn’t tell you when you’re in another state. I guess that’s why his probation officer isn’t worried since they could be working with waze before today’s fiasco even happened. They took his iPhones before so they probably knew he uses waze.

Whoa, looks like I missed a lot! So FD crossed over the state line. He is testing the waters and thumbing his nose at the system. LE had better keep a close eye on this monster.

His car surely has GPS; in a situation like this, you would think a person who truly wanted to avoid breaking the rules would have more than one method of detecting if he ventured too close to a state line—a possibility he had to be aware of because he’s from that area, near state boundaries. There are apps that will tell you if you go outside a specified boundary. He undoubtedly has some kind of smartphone even if it’s not his original. Why would you drive anywhere near a state line under these conditions?

If you told a teenage child to stay within the town limits or lose the freedom of driving and other privileges, surely the child would make every effort not to get outside the limits—or the child would be spending a lot of time doing chores while being grounded.

Really, this seems similar to FD’s audacity in telling JD he was going to have MT and her child move in the house with them all. This, too, is over the top and a giant diss to the judge. In his comment, NP sounded like someone whistling in the dark. Perhaps he is starting to realize who and what his client truly is, not that he would admit it.

So did GF take the children to Pound Ridge and maybe FD found out about it from one of his children

Hence the "accidental" incursion into New York, where he was ?6 miles? from the house?

Was he testing LE and his ankle bracelet to see how fast or if they would respond?

I wouldn't put anything past this psycho

We have all heard that old saying, give someone an inch, and they will take a mile. Perhaps FD was just testing the waters, sticking his foot into the pool before jumping into the deep end. Maybe he is trying to find where the line in the sand is. He very well may have "accidentally" slipped into NY momentarily, but if I had a court order to not leave a state, and my freedom was dependent on it, you can darn well believe I would not get close enough to a state line to "accidentally" slip inside. JMO

Me, too. Basically testing to see how long LE would take before responding.

No the children won’t be there because she sold the house two weeks ago or something.

I don’t use Waze but I know my GPS app has told me before when I entered a different state.
Google Maps definitely says, “Welcome to New York,” when you cross the border.

I think Norm shares a lot of similarities with his client; they both have monstrous egos, and don’t care who they hurt.

FD was willing to take a mother away from her children. Norm has no problem with running her name through the mud.

Both are skilled liars, who know how to manipulate the system.

They’re both going to lose though, because that’s what losers do.

Especially when the deck is stacked against them.

This gives me hope. Thank you.

I’m late to the new thread but why is it not a HIPPA violation to spew the alleged victim’s medical and psychological background? I realize that FD’s attorney has zero class but isn’t violating someone’s medical privacy a no no? And if not wth isn’t it?
HIPAA only applies to health care providers. If I know your embarrassing medical history, I can tell the world about it otherwise. Not that I would :)

My thoughts EXACTLY!. This is just like the child or puppy you are training and you say “stay” and they take a little inch where they shouldn’t... and you say it again and they push the limit/and usually LOOK YOU IN THE EYE to see what you will do! My post last night said it... SOMEONE better show him who is in charge/LE/JUDICIAL Seriously! He KNOWS EXACTLY what he is doing.

If I always believed WAZE (I have used it for YEARS) and not my OWN BRAIN, I would have ended up in a lake once and a river another! Let’s stop wondering what FD knew or didn’t. You can’t blame technology for a potential murderer violating a court order! WAKE UP LE! Put the animal in his cage already, PLEASE!

I highly doubt he is talking to his children! I would bet there is NO CONTACT! My opinion

It's time for Connecticut residents to call our state reps and the courthouse of Judge Blawie and insist (demand) they revoke FDs release in light of today's events to protect the public. He willfully violated a condition of his release, his behavior is unnerving, and he is potentially a danger to innocent residents of this State. If they just ignore this, and there are more victims, this is blood on their hands. Why even set conditions if he can just break them with no repercussions?
Well-said @Jen3135! And to answer your previous question, @Chloe_ee , Bob Duff is my state representative, and I canvassed for Lucy Dathan. This is their territory, and I will be writing them both. I hope other Connecticut residents do the same. Any suggestions as to how to word the specific "ask" are welcome.
