Thanks for intro to true Little Bitty! BEYOND cute IMO! We needed a bit of puppy cheer here today I think.

I am baffled though about the psych report value as its allegedly unfinished and the person that prepared it is for whatever reason unable to present at Family Court.

Legal procedure stuff aside though I also wonder what value FD testimony about JD state of mind has to anyone and whether any testimony from him on the entire topic of JD state of mind would have any value as evidence in court or is it strictly on background for attys and possibly LE? IDK. Personally I would think witness statements from friends and family of JD might have more value on the entire issue of JD state of mind.

Not sure I am getting where No Case Norm is going with this report other than to continue to possibly victim shame even more than he already has been doing. We know there appears no way to redeem his client except to bash JD but to try to introduce and unfinished report into the mix just doesn't make sense.

I also don't get why the Judge didn't bar No Case Norm from talking further about the report in public and certainly with the media. What are these judges doing to protect the missing victim or innocent children in this case? I feel like we stepped into the Twilight Zone of CT Justice again today.

BBM
Heller said she was “concerned the report was not protected” the way she envisioned when the order was issued.

She said the report will remain sealed and will be available for lawyers to review, but they cannot have their own copies.

Pattis asked if he can discuss the report with prosecutors.

Heller said he can represent his client without violating her order.

Wow, just wow... Kangaroo Court vs. Circus Show, it's hard to decide... JMO
What a disappointing state of affairs in the courtroom today IMO but I will keep reading the coverage and perhaps the situation is different than it seems. Sadly though it doesn't sound like Judge is in control of courtroom at all and that No Case Norm is unfortunately driving the bus and this rarely bodes well for J/justice IMO.

I thought we might have seen a decision today on Pattis related issues but haven't seen anything mentioned on these issues sadly. We also didn't see Judge issue any censures which is also disappointing as Pattis is simply moving down the 'blame the victim' highway and its not necessary or helpful for this to be out in the public as its being discussed without the context of DV or divorce case etc.

I personally had little confidence in Judge Heller prior to today based on her prior decisions but for her to not take control of the case and the atty's made her seem even more ineffective and indecisive than she appeared at the last hearing and that is saying something IMO.

Disappointing that the advocacy for the missing person is so weak in Judge Heller courtroom and in CT and protection of the reputation and memory of the missing person is not protected in any way by the court particularly given that the person is not present to defend or advocate on her own behalf.

Absolutely do not get why Pattis was not fined or censured for release of partial contents of the psych report?!

They could both be arrested by June 30.

If FD wants to talk to police about anything wouldn't it be a good idea for LE to do that just to get him talking? Surely they can see through his bs and maybe get him to trip himself up?

Remember, NP would be sitting next to FD and he would not allow FD to answer most if not all questions.

Speaking of CA, I keep thinking of all the stupid accusations and theories Jose Baez came up with.

I can’t decide whose are more ridiculous... Jose’s or Norm’s.

All these attorney’s have to do is create that reasonable doubt. Their client can walk ...

It’s appalling to throw this absurdity out there ...

I could be wrong but I thought the judge said she would decide the motion for sanctions later as the motion was just filed yesterday.

Can we assume that Pattis doesn't know what MT's story will be? I would imagine his lawyers were trying to contact her to get their stories straight. She is an interesting wild card.

If she knew what was in those bags, you'd think they would have to corroborate to get their facts straight.

If she didn't know, I suppose the truth shall set her free and she can rest easy.

Or she did know what was in the bags but didn't know anything about the murder until after the fact. Maybe she admits that, gets a plea deal, and her lawyers say she was frightened and went along with what FD wanted because she was afraid.

In my opinion, if she were in this thing really deep, her and FD lawyers would have to collaborate.

The thing I am most livid about is that FD wants to sit down with LE and discuss JD's mental state in the weeks prior to her disappearance. I mean, I just can't. I think LE is most interested in the disposal of bags containing blood from the missing JD.

FD will likely say he went over to discuss weekend plans or that he left something there that Wed and went to get it.

Upon getting there he saw blood and her body and wanted to get it cleaned up and disposed of before the kids would get there.

He tried to hide it to spare the family shame. Whether he is going with the suicide. I guess he thinks people will just be oh so charmed by him and feel sympathy for his heroic attempt at sparing the kids the horror of it all.

Please just stop thinking we are just so enchanted with you and your lawyer. You are both big steaming piles of turds.

Great post, I 100% agree and totally distancing herself works great if her defense is going to be that she was frightened and coerced.

This! It’s outrageous to say the least. This judge is asleep at the wheel.

He’s growing out his hair again. Notice he only cut it short right before he planned to kill his wife.

"Is he trying to skirt around the law and then ask for forgiveness and say he was 'Unaware' he violated a Judge's Order?"
In the same way FD "accidently" crossed over in to New York. Oops...I was "unaware"...a great defense. NP and FD deserve each other...ugh!!!:mad::mad: imo

New Canaan borders NY in several parts of town and I am personally familiar with many of the roads and they all have a Welcome to NY and Welcome to CT sign including the ones speculated as being the roads he took.
I think only on the main routes like 123 and 35. I live on the border on a back country road that many people use as a cut through and there is no sign.

And...I hate to say it - but I have a sinking feeling that this guy is going to walk free. The courts need to - as Cher said... "snap out of it"...imo

Honestly I think NP does have a plan for these wild scenarios. Staged disappearance, revenge suicide, etc etc

All things NP is going to try to use as the case progresses to try to manipulate and show that LE was so narrowly focused on his client that they failed to investigate other potential possibilities......

While its no doubt ludicrous, He's trying to plant seeds for reasonable doubt that he can use later on

It won't work IMO but that's no doubt a large part of what is going on here by NP

We see it in many cases, although in most cases it comes after the POI has already been charged with murder
