Here is street view from google maps. The entrance to the Waveny outer trail is just to the right. As you can see this is common place for people to park rather than going into and parking at the Main House or the Carriage Barn lots. The park is open to all. This is just north of the Merritt Parkway overpass across the street from the compost transfer lot. I recall there being a disc golf course next to the compost piles that lies between Lapham and the Metro North train tracks.

The trail winds around the perimeter of the park along the Merritt to the south and then parallel to South Avenue to the main gate entry at South Avenue. It continues on along South Avenue to the back of the High School off of Farm Road.

Lapham Road is not very busy especially on a Friday morning before a holiday weekend. Traffic into NYC would have been lighter than usual as everyone would be heading out of the city. Nantucket is a common destination for many of the residents.
Nicely done and welcome - I also believe we determined no cameras at the park? In case that was going to be the next question.

Was the actual truck conviscated? I just passed one driving out of a trail in Waveny Park that passes the pond and cornfield and is not open to cars in general. It creeped me out!
 I'm not sure????

“No cameras at the park” for now, anyway.

Sister-girl may have already left home by the time FD's evil side emerged (since she was 13 when he was born) but I guarantee his behavior has been part of the family lore.

Being married to Jennifer didn't make him mean. He's had practice.
Right, IIRC upthread, a friend of JD's family was quoted as saying her parents "didn't know what to make of him" (FD), presumably when their daughter decided to marry him, and then they bankrolled his business.

There's 14 years between our daughter and our youngest son. Our son was 4 years old when our daughter moved out and went to college. When there's a big age difference between siblings they have a different perspective of their sibling than they would if they were closer in age.

+1. My family has some crazy age gaps between my parents and aunts/uncles. My oldest aunt was I think 15 or 16 when my uncle was born, and I don't think they really know each other all that well even now.

Never mind! I just found an article that said red pickup was a Toyota Tacoma not a Tundra.
Regardless it was out of place driving there and goes to show how on edge we are in New Canaan!

Has NP mentioned the Greek phone alibi recently? Early on, that person was supposed to arrive the Thursday or Friday after FD's arrest. I haven't heard anything about that since....but, I haven't read or watched all the media posted.
Maybe Rena was the phone alibi and she cancelled flight based on lack of relevance.

(My apologies for all the humor attempts, snark, general silliness - not helping in the solving - but it’s all I can do to stay grounded until further notice. It is beyond good to read all the great sleuthing here, thankful.

I am leaving from Cali to New York on a red-eye this evening to visit aging relatives in Westchester County, enjoy a few fireworks shows and hopefully squeeze in a meal at Pound Ridge Inn...
Out in that area, closer to Jennifer’s soul, I plan to appeal to Buddha, God, Allah, any others on the desk to please, please give her family some peace through answers.

I will read and acknowledge all you smarties when I can though likely not post for a week. Maybe. Might have a snark attack. Oh which reminds - what is a snack shack? Lol! Is that what we out here call food trucks? And good heavens on a bag of bones being found at one.

I thought we discovered on thread 2 or 3 MT was born in TN and is a US citizen? I suspect those docs may be for the sister?
I am still looking to confirm MT citizenship. The job description listed in the visa dovetails almost perfectly with MT tasks as listed on the website so far as I can tell. All guesses as we don't know who that visa is for and it could have been for one of the nieces too if she wanted to stay in US and go to school w/o student visa process IMO. Will have to wait and see.

Have a fun trip and
a safe flight!

The one perpetrator does everything theory is not very believable; after killing JD, he would have to do the clean up, drive the Suburban to Waveny park, come back somehow, jogging is a crazy stretch after killing someone in cold blood. Too many snafus in that.
I don't think so, respectfully disagree. There was plenty of time for FD accosting JD in her garage, (IMO it was just a bit messier than anticipated, hence the 'cleanup' of blood evidence - e.g. he planned to strangle her but she fought back) for him to then get rid of her body (yup, wrapped up in a plastic tarp, easy to dump somewhere no one would go looking that would leave no trace evidence, along with a 'suit of armor" that would protect a person from blood spatter or whatever, that is actually a Tyvek suit these days and very prevalent on construction sites. boxes of them are 'free' for employees to wear, and they cost next to nothing.

Nope. Pattis has been blessedly silent. Our 4th of July treat!

He has not been charged with a crime so I don't think he would be given a court appointed attorney. I would hope a pro bono attorney would see this for the travesty it is (IMO) and take him on just to protect him from being railroaded by NP and company. Otherwise, he likely is paying out of pocket and perhaps even had to come up with a sizable retainer JMO
He is being questioned by police. He will most certainly be granted an attorney if he requests one. The police will try to make sure the attorney knows that EE is not under suspicion.
