I have noticed that FD (or those speaking on his behalf) have not made any statements like we so often hear when a loved one goes missing - for example, if you are out there and you can hear us, we want you to know that we miss you very much, we love you very much, please come home if you can. we will find you. we will not give up. the kids are missing you terribly, they need you here. wherever you are, we will find you, etc............

And, it's JMO, the reason we have not heard this is more than likely because FD knows she is NOT coming home EVER. He made sure of that.

But we here, will NEVER give up and why - because WE care. That's something that FD knows nothing about - caring about someone. He is all about himself and himself only.

Again, JMO.

Yes, unfortunately. We have probably sadly been a focus group for FD/Pattis. Its part of the process. But I believe LE has this case well in hand and because of the quick work of her friends reporting her missing that time wasn't lost on the front end as we sadly see in so many missing cases. As the NCPD Chief said its a complex case with alot of forensic work and it will just take time.
One line that stuck out with me? This investigation involves the entire state and is the most intensive in our history. Paraphrasing.
It's big. Really big. IMO.

Just a fleeting thought as to how a narcissistic person like FD only thought of the positives on killing JD, never considering the cons.

He thought he had the perfect murder planned, after all, he is much smarter than any law officer. He was such an excellent sales person that LE would never doubt his word or story. Laws didn’t apply to him, he was in a class above and beyond laws. He was a mastermind!

It would only be a matter of time, JD’s money for the children would be flowing his way, and he would finally be in charge of the big bucks he had dreamed of.

However, in his little hollow mind, he failed to realize that with JD being from a wealthy family, her family would not sit quietly by and accept her disappearance. Oops, big mistake FD! Your big plans for life after JD’s gone, are far from anything your selfish egotistical self could even think of.

We all hope her body is found so you will receive the ultimate sentence. The one satisfying fact is that life as you’ve known it, or as your sister wrote about, is over. The best years of your life are over. The day is coming when you will live in a cage.

I have been confused from the beginning in regards to keeping all the properties straight in regards to FD. Is this property on Sturbridge that he is working on now, is it a different house than the one we saw in the news that had the red roll-off dumpster sitting by it? And also, is this house he is currently working on the same house where the neighbor heard the metal banging sound going on? Thanks in advance.

It is a big story here, but on the other hand Connecticut isn't very big. You can drive just about drive from border to border in 2 hours.
What is unique to me is the way the crime is spread out over the eastern half of the state in potential search areas.

Sorry. Yes. Absolutely someone can steal your joy. Your suggestion to "show up at a homeless shelter" to heal trauma is misguided to say the least. You have zero clue what you are talking about.
If I may say so... I think @MemPat was making a suggestion to help you get through your pain. It has been proven that to heal one’s pain is to help others that are going through the same or similar circumstances.

Members of AA believe that to stay sober, one must help a new member. Other support groups recommend the same.

Cancer patients are encouraged to help those newly diagnosed. And there is a support group for parents who have lost a child to violence, encouraged to help others who’ve also been through the most horrible cause of pain and suffering.

It doesn’t take away the pain totally, of course, but it does help with the stress and the sadness and the loss of joy. It helps to talk to those who’ve been through it before. They seem to be the ones who are most understanding what you're going through.

It’s so important to the one who’s there supporting others, to heal his/her own pain.

MOO

Well, I question you on that "zero clue" thing but forgive me for not explaining the homeless shelter suggestion.

Someone close to me who has been through similar circumstances to those you shared chose to step away from her own troubles by serving women who were worse off, many kicked onto the streets by wicked husbands.

She has been at it for almost three years and has found it healing.....yes, even joyful. It seems that isn't in your wheelhouse and I'm sorry to have offended you.

Your comments about Websleuths and it members caused a lump in my throat and a tears in my eyes! I’ve been a member since 2004 and I agree, as another member said, of all the cases I’ve followed, this case has one of the most caring, intelligent, interesting, professionals I’ve seen.

Some of you “old timers” may remember Katycoolady from Laci Peterson’s Case. Thanks to WS, she and many others and I met at WS and have become very good friends.

Since the Laci Peterson case, and because she was/is a victim herself (her sister was murdered by her husband on Xmas Eve), she has been a Victims Advocate for several families who have had family members murdered.

She has gone to court with, for, and to support them, including Travis Alexander’s Family. I know WS played a huge part in her becoming a VA.

I am a member of a few other websites that follow and comment on cases in the news. But there is definitely nothing like WS. I am so proud to be a member and amongst so many caring, intelligent and professional members!
I concur. Thank you for this post and I’m sending air hugs to the WS’s circle of friends.

Yes, you are referring to the same house in all three instances.

I believe someone way back surmised that the metal banging may have been LE searching the dumpster? @LittleBitty ?
There were multiple theories on the banging noise at Sturbridge.

Originally I thought that the dumpster company had been called and the dumpster was 'tipped' which if it happened early in the morning would have been quite loud. Some of the refuse companies come into town before the hours when they are allowed in order to get runs done before traffic become bad.

Others thought the noise could have been either a well cap or a septic cap being removed. Then someone saw that the septic system has an above ground conduit to facilitate cleaning. Multiple pictures of septic tank systems were posted earlier in the thread and sometimes there are manhole entrances in larger system to facilitiate maintenance work.

Then there was a news report that the loud noise had come from inside the house and this threw the discussion for a loop.

There was also alot of discussion about the awareness of dogs and how they know which sounds represent a threat and which don't and would bark continuously if they noticed a threat to their environment as was the case of the noise that was reported by the dog sitter.

You totally stepped into his shoes and showed us how he thinks. Very empathic!

I just wish we could channel that and figure out if JD was not in MIRA and I am starting to have my doubts where she would be found. I still maintain it has to be some place familiar. That he has some dominion over. I just am at a loss with the time constraints unless it was a pre-planned place. A hole in the ground? A barrel? A septic tank? What is the fastest way to get rid of a body?

Again I apologize upfront for the fact that I have no squeamish feelings about a body. Pathologist daughter who saw more than my fair share of autopsies. At that point there is nada you can do for them. Just try to bring the family some small level of closure although there is no such thing.

Thank you so much, Peace. I'm a 25 year cancer patient who has directed a support center and led groups for most of that time so I can't help myself when someone appears to cry out. Finding that someone doesn't want my help can hurt feelings but I'm convinced no one can steal my joy!

Question me all you want. You have never been in my shoes. I have even been homeless. I KNOW what sickness is and what it does.

The house you just saw the video of him sweeping and being chatted to by Fox61 is located in New Caanan, CT. The house is supposedly close to being completed. The general view on the thread has been that of all the houses the house in NC probably has the best shot of being sold in the near future as the Farmington houses seems to be overpriced still and houses in the price range of the Farmington houses simply aren't selling. So, if FD needs cash (my guess is he does and lots of it!) then getting NC done is his best shot as those Farmington houses won't sell anytime soon. MOO

She had someone "close to her". I'm sure your intentions are good.

Good theories!
I’m concerned though for the timeline for getting back to Farmington if a body disposal was done in New Canaan. Pattis already said just getting back to Farmington would be doubtful, but then add the time needed to prep the body and the prep the NC site? A quick wrap up and go to Farm is plausible. And he would have far more time for prep, a safe site, and options for delayed disposal.

Sturbridge had a red dumpster on the property to the left of the garage as you were facing the house and standing in the driveway. I didn't see the dumpster on the latest FOX61 video. Did anyone else?
