If you know, when they searched at WHR was it just on land? I can't remember!
Your opinion that she has been buried somewhere there, right?
Not in the water?
A full out search has not been started at WHR. According to the article they train dogs there, no idea how many officers and how many dogs, not cadaver dogs to my knowledge, and the news said they adjusted their choice of training area recently to some spots that they thought could be areas of interest in the missing JD case. They were there a couple hours on Wed in Resevoir 3 searching.
In my opinion alot of us would like to see a full out full force WHR search. Both land and water. Also just IMO I still think she is on land. With all of that wilderness and lots of paths weaving through it you could really get lost FOREver.

Thanks for the insight . I do think that she is as big a narcissist as he is for sure . However , when being confronted with prison you would think one would think twice before giving them the proverbial middle finger . That said ... rich , narcissistic , never being held to account for anything ... maybe she thinks she’s above the law .

As for A CT jury . Hard to say . Affluence runs abound in that neck of the woods . So the globe trotting may not be as big an issue as one might think . However , old money JD vs gold digging husband and his cocky “paramour” probably will be.
I think will also depend on where the case case is heard. The vast majority of folks in CT are not 1-10% per centers IMO and so the lifestyle of MT/JD and relationship choices could all be issues with the jury. Will wait and see...

I wonder if that will ever get out, or will wife #1 lay low?
Been identified in the press by more than one paper. MOO is that she totally dodged a bullet or a hammer!

She may not have been religious, but sometimes it’s more about traditions that you are giving up for the new ones, that can be really difficult. I got the impression that, as she was with FD, she was charmed by her new Greek traditions. I cannot help but think that the charm would have worn off after a while, especially since it left no room for who she, herself, was. It’s like she was erased even before she was killed.
I like this analogy. My DH is from another culture with strong traditions like the Greeks have . Our household grew more in those traditions than mine as a child . Only b/c theirs were much stronger and held in higher importance to them . I didn’t feel “erased” as she might have felt since my DH is nothing like FD ... but I can see your point totally .

It makes you wish Ann Rule was still alive and writing true crime. She somehow managed to get an interview with everyone involved, even the most obscure.

Hmm.. Wasn’t FD an avid water skier ? I wonder if he knows the ins and outs of most of the large bodies of water in the area .

There has to be justice for JD and her loved ones.

I agree, but sometimes there just isn’t. My sincere wish is that this doesn’t happen here, and that FD ends up in prison for life.

  • #288
No, FD was not involved in a tannery in CT but it was his families business for at least 2 generations and it is believed that members of his extended family remain in the industry in the US.
Petros Dulos & Co was established in NY so what type of business do you think they were doing? I cant find anything on google. Do you think it was just a fake company to move money around for his family?

I wonder if wife #1 was relieved to see him go?
They might have been estranged before the divorce. They worked for the same company and got married within a year of her joining (fresh from university). She left the company a couple of years into their marriage and he stayed on until 2004.

Yes, its likely that you are correct. LE has searched the ski pond club where FD and family had a membership. In one of the most recent interviews FD seemed to be complaining that it was CT waterski season and because of the ankle bracelet that he would be able to ski. How unfortunate for FD! Not.

I often wonder who can’t see right through these types of people . Idk if I just have a sixth sense when it comes to those types . I can spot them a mile away. I had a brother in law that reminded me so much of Scott Peterson it was eerie. No matter how badly he treated my SIL everyone still thought he was such great guy . And I’m like holy Hannah people can you not see this guy is a psychopathic controlling narcissist.

It takes a long time for someone who has been romanced by these people to see them separate and apart from the love they felt and they're often stunned to reflect on the behavior years later.

It's good to note that part of the control comes from separating the wife from her supportive network. Then he controls the way she defines herself and she becomes the equivalent of a battered woman.

Thank goodness Jennifer had a couple of years away from him physically but he was always in her head.

Jennifer Dulos disappearance: ‘Gone Girl’ theory ‘sickens’ author of novel

NEW CANAAN — The author of the fictional novel “Girl Girl” said she is “sickened” that a defense attorney has used her storyline as a possible theory for Jennifer Dulos’ disappearance.

Gillian Flynn, who wrote the 2012 book that was turned into a movie, issued a statement Friday, blasting attorney Norm Pattis, who said Jennifer Dulos once wrote a similar 500-page manuscript and could have used her “florid imagination” to frame her estranged husband.

Sadly, she died in 2015. Such a fine, compassionate writer while being quite entertaining.

No doubt! LE keeps searching water areas around Farmington. Just not the land beyond his backyard.

Just like a psychopath to complain about HIS own circumstances. Has anyone told him his estranged wife is missing a presumed dead ? ‍♀️

I believe there is an older aunt of FD lives in Md. or DE. that lists her occupation as with a 'tanning' business which I recall is located
in Greece.
She uses the old spelling of the family name "Dulous".

Piggybacking on this, FD never added RK to his family tree info. Do you think its because he would wire money to her and didn't tell auditors that she's a related party? Businesses need to disclose who they wire money to if any of them are relatives.

It’s hard for me to imagine how demanding he must have been, for JD to just give in, to keep the peace. She realized that there wasn’t any way, short of leaving him, for her to live as she wished (with her own bathroom!). It must have been terrible living with him for almost all of the time they were together. I wonder if wife #1 was relieved to see him go?[/QUOTE
I think Petros dulos & Co was setup in NYC. Sorry I got the wrong info and said CT.

No worry on the state! I’m really focused on the thought that the tannery experience and know-how were relatively recent. I somehow assumed (shame on me) that the tannery was long ago and far away, not part of FD’s world in the U.S. Not only does this indicate to me that possibly he knew more about methods used in tannery more than just as family lore but also that even if the business is closed, he still may have had tools and chemicals related to the field or access to them that wouldn’t be as noticeable (before now) to others when buying them. For example, no one thinks anything about farmers buying a lot of fertilizer but eyebrows can go up with others not in a related business buy or try to buy a lot of it given the issues with bombs. When people go out of business, leftover items often end up in their houses and garages. Just thoughts.
