Agree. Plus posting a 500K bond is no small matter. Maybe she or her parents have lots of idle cash, but usually it's posted by a bondsman. And the fee for that is 10% of the bond and it's non refundable. So, unless they have the cash, they'd have to pay 50K and never see it again. That's a fair bit of money for most of us to say bye bye to. And it's not a get out of jail card. It's just temporary. If they add more charges, she's back in jail. Still out the 50K. This is why FD isn't posting bail.

I think also they posted so she could see her daughter and get things squared away for her, now that she has lost her mcmansion home to stay in. Wouldn't be surprised to hear daughter will be in Fl with the grandparents and she fights for less time and whatever strategy she is going to come up with her attorney. Makes sense to me.

And totally guessing here but from the look in his eyes (and the gf as well), and all of their insane actions, a lot of his money could have been blown on drugs.
I wonder. When I saw her, I thought hears someone who likes meth. But then she was in jail all weekend and maybe we'd all look like that.

Hmmm...wonder why FD isn’t posting bail. He mouths to his attorney that that is his intention at end of his bail hearing. Do any lawyers or others know why an attorney would reco their client not post bail, and stay in prison?

COURT APPEARANCE: Fotis Dulos faces judge
It has to be a matter of coming up with the money.

Regardless of what his attorney wants, no person wants to stay in jail in a situation like this.

This would be his last shot at freedom, possibly forever.

Let's get Henry Lee to come up from New Haven STAT!
OT but my niece has sat in on some of his lectures. She's pursuing a Criminal Forensics degree at New Haven. Looking forward to some interesting family get together conversations.

Most likely because, if this was premeditated, he had already chosen somewhere on the land he owns up there to dispose of the body.
Someone asked earlier how much land he owned around Farmington.
He and JD own the home on Jefferson C. w/ 2.27 acres.
Fore Group owns the home on 80 Mountain Sprg. w/ 5.06 ac.
Vacant lot nextdoor at 84 Mtn. spg. - 2.41 ac.
Another vacant lot at 88 Mtn. Spg.- 2.25 ac.
So just on Mtn. Spg. there's almost 10 ac (9.7) to search.

East side of town received the call 20 minutes ago. This is a 10 minute drive from her neighborhood, which is on the West side of town. Killer could have gone over this way on main route to get to the highway.
Area around Rt. 123 heading toward Merritt and South Ave heading toward Merritt.

Otto asked what time her car was found and I believe msm said
around 7 pm also.

I'd read that the car was found around 7PM, and maybe that is when it was first seen at the park. I'm curious when the car was left at the park. Was it left there right after the murder and before the nanny arrived at the house, maybe around noon, or perhaps it was left at the park at 6PM.

If he is really hurting for money, maybe they’ll have a fire sale of some of those homes to bond him out and pay for his attorney. Just not sure why he’s not bonded out if he can afford a high priced attorney.

It was a map with marks on it for the available houses for sale if I recall. Someone local posted the map they made and I thought it might help others visualize the area and be helpful on this thread.
I put the map in the media thread but need to bring over the commentary

FD has been pleading poverty in family court now for 2 years, has 6 unsold houses with Fore Group and went back to court to ask that JD pay his legal bills. Looks like serious cash issues. It also would look more than a bit odd given all his prior testimony that he was able to materialize the cash needed for bond IMO. I also am curious if JD mother mobilized her atty's this am to effectively make it impossible for him to use any of the real estate as collateral or sell any real estate to fund his defense. Or, it might just take time to get the cash from where he might have stashed it throughout the divorce case.

He hadn't been paying back the loans made by FIL for over a year now but he also doesn't seem to have had any income over the past year or so either. He has fought all court attempts to gain access to his financial records so I'm not sure if anyone, including the court knows his true financial situation at this point. But IMO it can't be good.

Think that info was in the arrest warrant. Let me check.

I don’t think he owns those homes I suspect they were built with spec money and that’s why he can’t repay JD’S mom Hence the lawsuit IMO

Anyone local know what searches are still going on in NC or Farmington?

I WISH I could attend some of his lectures! The closest I have to talking about things with RL friends is my ex-coworker who went to school for mortuary sciences.

I don't like to comment on looks like this but I think she is just rough looking, esp after not eating & (hopefully) the stress of it all. How he chose this woman over Jennifer is beyond me.

Yeah. Initially, I thought that he was going with the standard ploy, feigning being destitute so he could stick it to Jennifer.

I now believe the financial problems are very real.

I do think he’ll find a way to gather the funds, but I also think it’s quite possible that additional charges could be filed if it reaches the point where he can bond out.

He’s dangerous.

Based on the cell phone tracking in the arrest warrant, it was likely left in the park around noon. FD returned to Farmington around 1:30 and never returned to NC.

You may be partially right. The other homes have to be in someone else's name because they don't show up in either his, JD's or Fore Group's names. I'll go back and figure this out.

If he does make bond and gets out, can he go back to his house and live even if body has not been found?

If you go to page 14 of the 18 page warrant posted earlier, it looks like it says MT's place of birth is TN (it is a bit fuzzy), and I vaguely recall one of her social media accounts said she was from Tennessee. It does say her SSN is unknown. FD's arrest document says he was born in TU (I guess that is Turkey) and lists his SSN and his nationality as "United States". For what any of that is worth.

What a pity, he may be a US citizen.:(
I was hoping, after his stint in Prison for the murder, FD would be deported.
However, I hope, this CREEP, gets LWOP, so behind bars to the END.:)
MOO.
