My issue with her body being in his truck is this: They have his truck. Wouldn't her blood and DNA in the truck be enough to hold them longer? Obviously, they're likely waiting until they find the body to press murder charges, but it seems likely to be they may have used a vehicle that wasn't his truck that morning. I just don't know if he has more than one vehicle or MT has one (although I feel like I remember mention of a white pickup that may belong to her). JMO.
I had said earlier that I thought immediately after FD had done what he did to Jennifer on Friday, he had his car and truck somewhere getting detailed for cleanliness.

And thus the reason for him getting the rental car.

His truck was taken 5/31 according to the warrant were any other vehicles seized? I thought the rental car was after the truck was seized ?

I can't remember - Do we know exactly when he got the rental? And would a thorough detailing get rid all of the evidence?

We got to break that luminol out, y'all!

This is another reason I think they may have used a vehicle that wasn't the Raptor. Figuring out what that vehicle was might be the reason they're trying to watch tape now. They might have found no evidence of JD in his car.
This makes sense to me. Otherwise, I would think they would have tracked his movements from NC to Farmington (maybe they have and we are unaware). Cameras seem to be everywhere, so I imagine they have been checking that path.

I really wonder where he put her..? I can't imagine driving for 1+ hours with 30 bags of bloody evidence and a body in the vehicle with me!!

I was reading through the arrest document and was puzzled by the section that describes the C4 Video of Albany Street. There is a reference to a 4 mile stretch between Biltmore and Edward Streets. If anyone in Hartford can double check me but I did a google walk down Albany and I didn't see a Biltmore Street in Hartford.

Can anyone figure out what was meant in the police report? If you go 4 miles down Albany there aren't any streets with B in their name that I can see. I'm assuming they were heading back to Avon/Farmington, but maybe this is a poor assumption. Could the arrest warrant document simply be incorrect? I was trying to create a map based on the arrest warrant document and then ran into this issue. Ideas?

What’s the story with the altered plates? Does that have anything to do with how her body was transported?

I believe they meant Baltimore Street which is off of Albany Ave.

IMO, after the brutal attack and cleanup, FD left JD’s NC home with JD possibly following MT as she drove JDs vehicle to the park. MT could pass for JD with a hat and sunglasses and jog away leaving JDs vehicle to later be discovered while jogging away also disposed of the cellphone. Then MT meets up with FD along the perimeter of the park or a little further away.
I think this is an excellent thought. They would look similar in a hat. Very good point.

Snipped and BBM

Please don’t crucify me. To be clear, I HATE ******* lawyers more than anyone because they shame my profession, a profession that I worked very hard for!

But, the lawyers were not enlisted to help “the family.” I think it’s a tiny bit unfair to put a tragic horrific ending to a very contentious custody and divorce fight on the lawyers. A lawyer’s job is to advocate and fight for his/her client. Period. Of course there are lines that should not be crossed and it can be a very tight rope to walk. But FD’s lawyers fighting for him to have additional time with his kids or even for joint custody means they were doing their jobs. Sorry, just had to say that.

I don't disagree with you about the lawyers as they are doing their best for their clients within the confines of the law. I really wonder if the reason this case kept dragging was that neither party wanted give in? Both parties were fighting to the end and were not willing to give an inch. I've seen no evidence of communication or any efforts to compromise. FD spent 2 years fighting to not disclose any financial information and was actually successful in this effort. Not sure why the court couldn't compel his compliance in a more direct way such as putting him in jail? I also don't understand why if there were threats of violence why this matter wasn't move out of family court?

BUT, how to defend the judges here? I just keep reading and reading the court documents and it baffles me how there was almost complete indifference to JD claims of fearing for her life and the lives of her children. Each time we had a new judge I seriously question if they had read any portion of the file prior to their hearing. If you can help to explain the judging I would appreciate it as there appears to be no communication between these judges.

Me neither, but the perps on these threads don't seem to have a problem with it. Scott Peterson drove a good 90 minutes on Bay Area freeways from Modesto to the Berkeley marina with Laci's body in his boat. Then he took the boat out and dropped her in SF Bay in broad daylight.

There’s a review on his business page that he came in way over quoted amount so maybe that became his means of financing. Low balling to get people’s deposits which they’d not want to lose, then coming in we’ll over so that extra could bank roll more
It also could have been some kind of ponzi scheme where he was taking money from people willing to sign contracts and then using that money for other houses. The music stopped with this game when people weren't signing up for new builds and his inventory wasn't selling.

@MassGuy said rental car was 4 days after the disappearance date.

I wonder if they drove around more remote parts of the area in the Ford Raptor and dumped JD's body somewhere off the beaten path, far away from the current search areas. Perhaps he left his phone at one of the houses in order to do this, so LE wouldn't think they went anywhere else besides the presently known locations.

I think he did leave his phone behind. Or turned it off. I looked closely at the arrest warrant affidavit and it gives a pretty good timeline and clears up some stuff we've been batting around (well maybe you've all covered this already. I'm working and popping in and out of here).

We know from other sources that the mom left at 8:00 a.m. to drop the kids off at school and missed an 11:00 a.m. appointment and no one was home when the cleaning lady came at noon. Not sure when Jennifer got home.

WARRANT AFFIDAVIT INFORMATION:

But we can assume she did. The affidavit shows that when officers got the report that night at 7:00 p.m. or so, that Jennifer was missing, and went to the house they found:

EVIDENCE IN THE HOUSE:
1. Multiple areas of blood spatter. (It doesn't specify where).
2. Blood stains on the garage floor.
3. Evidence that someone had attempted to clean the crime scene.

From this I believe the crime could have occurred in the home and her bloody body carried to the garage and laid on the floor, or maybe she was killed in the garage or stumbled there after initially being attacked and was killed there or died there.

It doesn't say when FD left his home. But the following is a timeline of his movements, from cell phone records, and surveillance videos:

TIMELINE OF FD'S MOVEMENTS:
1. He left his Farmington home, time unstated and drove directly, it appears, to the Mountain Springs Road property in Farmington. It's a five minute drive, so likely five minutes before he arrived. So 1:32 p.m.?
Google Maps
2. At 1:37 p.m. he arrived at the Mountain Springs Road property in Farmington.
3. At 3:38 p.m. he left the Mountain Springs Road property and drove home. (So he spent about two hours or so at that property).
4. He arrived at his home at 4:17 p.m. So what was he doing between times?
5. At at 5:21 p.m. he was back at Mountain Spring Road.
6. At 5:34 p.m. he was back at his home.
7. At 7: 10 p.m. he entered Hartford near Albany Avenue. That's about a 12 minute drive: Google Maps
8. Between 7:10 p.m. and 7:41 p.m, his vehicle is identified as being in Hartford in various locations where evidence was found. A man who fits his description is seen at at least one of those locations, near where evidence was dumped, and a woman who appears to be Michelle Troconis is likewise seen coming from the passenger side of his vehicle, out of the car and doing something near where evidence was dumped.
9. At 7:41 p.m. he leaves Hartford.
10. At 9:10 to 9:12 p.m., he pulls into his property and casually walks to the mailbox where he retrieves the mail. Knowing that Jennifer died that day and he likely killed her makes this stunning.

Items found where he, MT and his vehicle were seen in Hartford at evidence dump sites include:

EVIDENCE FOUND IN HARTFORD:
Trash bags with a blood-like substance on them.
Clothes with what looked like blood on them, in the trash bags.
A sponge in the trash bag.
Altered license plates in a storm drain grate, with the license plates coming from vehicles owned by FD.

Jennifer's blood was found to be on the items in the trash bags.

QUESTIONS:
1. What time did he leave his house for the first time that day?
2. Is he seen at Jennifer's home that day?
3. Where was he between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m., the day Jennifer disappeared.

It seems there could be significant time unaccounted for. Lots of time to dispose of a body. Probably a four hour window.

I think they will need help to find Jennifer.

Its interesting though that the residents are being asked for CCTV footage now vs last week. Its hard to know for sure but it looks like they are interested in roads that lead to either entrance to the Merritt (Rt. 123 or South Ave.).
The first time I saw LE in New Canaan was all up and down Frogtown Rd and Weed St from top of Elm -> Merrit (exit 36).

My guess is this is where they want cctv footage. Frogtown rd and Weed st. As a local, if I were to leave JDs home and try to get to Waveny or the Merrit, I would drive down frogtown and then take a right on Weed. At the end of weed I would either turn left to go to Waveny or right to the Merrit. That's what I'd do.

Thank you. Will see the distance on this as the report says 4 miles.

Why drive 1 hour+ north to throw things out? There are plenty other places to dispose nearby.

Why do we think he may have driven an hour plus north to throw out stuff? From where?
