DBM forgot we can’t talk about court TOS per sillybilly
Where are people reading about a change to TOS on the thread? I didn’t realize chat about family court had been banned or has it? Did they create a new thread or two get topic? Not anxious for a TO on something I wasn’t aware of!

He and MT own property in Colorado

Google Maps

This is 61 Sturbridge Hill Road home that is listed on their web site. It was to be finished in 2019 and I cannot find anywhere that it has been sold. Perhaps the area is called Heritage.
I always was surprised that they didn't look at that place first because it was so close. Wonder if it has a septic system.

So apparently FD and the kids were members of Old Farms Skiers in Avon, CT. Police went to question the owner at some point. The owner is worried they're going to come drag the lake at some point.

SOURCE: Coworker who is a member and apparently has met FD in passing in the past.

Personally, the fact that they AREN'T dragging bodies of water leads me to believe LE has a good idea of what happened here...
There are lots pics of the kids with medals from a competition there.

We can talk about the court case as t relates to the murders, I believe. But we can't blame the judge?

Yes, but rereading Sillybilly’s statement I felt I headed down a slicky road .....

Please continue discussion here.

This case is dedicated to discussion about a missing and presumed murdered victim, Jennifer Dulos. You may discuss specific court documents that relate to the issues between the couple, but generalized bashing of the judge is not allowed, and the courts and/or legal system are not the subject of this discussion. Please stay on topic or face possible temporary or permanent loss of posting privileges.

ETA: Also please note that long, personal anecdotes derail the conversation and make it all about you instead of the case at hand. Such posts are off topic and will be removed at moderator discretion.

Sorry for the delay in posting this information but life got in the way! Ct police major crime van and at least 6 other cars arrived this am at approximately 10:30 am at the Sturbridge unsold property in New Canaan.

Have to do a google drive to see the path that might have been possible between this property and JD residence.

Wonder if FD and MT simply camped out in waiting at the Sturbridge property that morning in advance of going to JD property? It would have been a good alibi as he owns the property and they could have justified being there as it looks like the landscaping was in process.

Have pictures are will post later.

edit to correct street name...multitasking and failing!

I understood that we could reference court documents that pertain to this case but we were not to engage in critiques and criticisms of family court judges, advocates, attorneys etc. in general.

I think they took their phones to Hartford so he wouldn’t miss the “come get the kids, emergency call” he was expecting.
That did not occur to me - excellent thought and am sure in his arrogance the thought that call was coming. IMO

I agree. I was told that police were on to him from day 1. But with that, one week for the phone pinging to be figured out in that Hartford neighborhood -- why that took so long is strange.
Takes time. First they have to have enough to get a judge to issue a warrant, then serving the warrants, then waiting for the provider to retrieve the information. I'm sure LE is working as fast as possible but paramount they have to be accurate to prevent giving perps an out when court time arrives.

Sorry didn’t mean to confuse the court thing. I feel my response could be a violation and short response why deleted. I was addressing courts in general not specific to case.

Marking my spot....
I'm starting to think he may have put her in water.

I think the importance of "getting the mail", as it was used in the warrant, was to indicate that the man in the footage who arrived on the property was in fact Dulos (and it was the same Dulos in Hartford, and the same Dulos dropping the items in all the bins, ALL THE SAME GUY....) He arrived on the property, got out of the car, checked the mail, got back in the car.... These are actions of a homeowner. And that homeowner is Fitos. That's the importance of "getting the mail". The warrant wanted to show this "man" is DULOS.
Welcome to Websleuths and yes, I would think they want to establish him on video and his identity to make everything match. good post.

They knew about her at some point; they were both detained and it seems to me that they could have asked her for her phone. Maybe it didn’t matter once they realised that she was with him. And that the pings for his phone would have been the same or similar to hers
He surrended his phone 5/25 (one day after her disappearance) and it took a week to get a warrant to seize the truck - i think they were gathering evidence during that week and likely discovered her once they viewed the Hartford video - all speculation

You have to know which allegations are serious enough. Even if they all are serious it's worth it to save lives, no? It shouldn't even be an argument. Another benefit might be that cases wouldn't take so long. Human life is precious.

DBM per TOS!

you are correct - this is not the forum to debate the family court system - just documents as they pertain to this case is how I understand it as well.

Any allegation of domestic violence is serious.

Human life IS precious. There are many things that the government could pay for (pollution clean up, medical research, health care, mental health treatment, free housing, repaired bridges and roads, more regulation of industry, Green Berets guarding every school, mall, church, temple, public event, from mass shooters, etc.) to protect life that it cannot due to lack of funding.

Government-funded armed guards for people with domestic violence restraining orders is not realistic, IMO.

It's not an argument. It would be lovely. It's just not a realistic possibility.

Anything is possible. It's just where we put our priorities.

Super good question. It doesn't make sense.

The only thing I can think of is that the trip to Hartford was what, about 8 hours later? Maybe they got sloppy. Panicky. Forgot to turn off their phones?

It doesn't make sense. I hope you're right and they're just quietly and steadily building the murder case!!
It's possible he brought the phone with him to Hartford because he was expecting a call from the nanny that JD wasn't home and she needed to go home for the day...so he had to come get the kids.

Good point, and welcome to WS.
