MT met in her lawyers office yesterday with state police present with recording equipment. Now, if she knew where the body was and told the police, wouldn’t they have found JD by now.
Could it be she wasn’t present at the murder? Could he have lied to her what was in the 30 trash bags? (doubt it)
I know, so many questions!

This. They wouldn't have known where he was until they got his phone, then obtained a warrant, then the warrant was processed, etc., to see his phone pinged in Hartford.
Exactly - no way to tail him realistically Friday night IMO

Unfortunately, knowing where the body is isn't enough if it's dismembered and at the dump... Or it could be somewhere that's not easily accessible. OR they have it and we don't know yet.

IMO they would need to have a witness that saw the door opened, or video footage or this is a detail MT spilled in her 3 hour talk - all speculation of course because we simply don't know yet.

They should still use something to verify it if it was part of her 3 hour talk. Seems almost like an excuse, ie: “she left the garage open so he used the opportunity to kill her! She should have closed it!”

I accidentally left both of mine open all night long the other night, and it was not the first time.

Maybe she has neighbors that noticed.

Or maybe it refers to a regular door built into the side of the garage.

All of this garage door talk makes me wonder if I’m the only one who actually locks the garage door? I lock it on the keypad because once I was in there in the middle of the night doing laundry, and the garage door opened on its own. My friend told me people can open other garages if the settings on their opener are right.

I double check that the door is down and I lock mine every night!

Well, if she told LE body parts were in those 30 bags, they still have to find them....

Hate thinking that.

Jumping off you post....

Didn't school just get out there? It says added security as the kids are returning back to school??
School ends the 12th for them.

This was my thought too once the cops returned to the trash burning place today. If she got a deal yesterday, it seems that she would have to disclose where the body is, and it hasn’t been found as far as we know.

Wasn't a significant find reported? Maybe that was the murder weapon.
As for finding the body, 30 bags of evidence with Jennifer's blood might mean that there is no body anymore.

Without going back looking for it, I’ll ask: Was the murder weapon actually found?

Oh man. My heart sunk this morning when I checked for updates. I was devastated.

The kids going back to school. Kids whose innocence has been destroyed; lives turned into a nightmare. The family must have been advised to keep the kids on some kind of familiar schedule with familiar surroundings and familiar people. And all the kids at their school. Their innocence also lost. What do you say to their peers about what has happened? And how can you possibly explain to the Dulos children what has happened to their mother and father? At their different ages, there are different ways of telling them what is going on. However they are all together and discussing with each other so it's just a disaster and beyond my comprehension.

Then there is the family of Jennifer. Raising 5 traumatized children and being no doubt traumatized yourself will be no small feat. The grandmother simply does not have enough time to raise them. So by default it will go to her sister I suppose? Having 5 children to raise by choice is an immense job, doing so by default is mind-blowing to me. Thank God the family has money. It will make things much easier to take care of all of them. There is nothing, however, to solve for having both parents gone in the most sinister manner. Children can simply not process this. I am not saying money solves this; it will just make things easier. Money just does make life easier.

Then there is MT's daughter. Her life also has been blown up. There is much more of a chance for her to be okay.

My fervent prayers go to all of the children who have been affected. The children of the community included. Prayers also go to all the adults who are tasked with caring for these children.

My prayers go to everyone involved in this case legally. Can you imagine going into mounds of garbage that has been sitting for two weeks to look for what may pieces of Jennifer. Jennifer, a once beautiful, vibrant, dedicated woman who has been ripped from the earth in an unimaginably violent manner.

This is where my my emotions turn to rage. FD. Pure, bone-chilling evil. I would bet the farm that in his mind, he blames JD for all of this. For "making" him resort to this. If we follow with his psychological profile, he feels he is a victim. He feels victimized, and that he was bullied into doing this. If he had any empathy or felt personally responsible he would throw himself into the fire and confess. This man is trying to save his own life. I cannot even wrap my head around this. How could he not hate himself. If I were law enforcement I would have a hard time not torturing this man for answers.

For my own mental health, I am going to have to limit myself to checking on this case only once a day. My young daughter is a recovering heroin addict. She feels like she has no value and fights to want to live. I think I gravitate toward this story because feeling the pain for everyone in this scenario is easier than facing my own pain. I am going to have to focus on all the beauty life has to offer. I will concentrate on everything I have to be grateful for. I hope you all take some time to focus on the blessings and goodness in your own lives as well.

A significant find was announced, with no further details. This was after the girlfriend started talking.

The school has been wonderful in sending emails to the parents with advice as to how to talk about it and in talking with the kids before they returned for the day. These kids couldn't be in a better place than this school right now.

Here I go with some more banana peels. Only posting this bc there seems to be confusion on the timeline as to when new Canaan PD and other authorities discovered when it was MT and FD that were the ones dumping the trash.

According to the Stamford Advocate timeline:

MAY 24th
1) 7:00 pm JD reported missing to New Canaan PD by two friends. Shortly thereafter police enter JD residence and find blood spatter and more blood and clean up attempts. JDs car is also found shortly there after at Latham Road. (Black Chevy Suburban).
2) 7:10 pm two individuals seen stopping at 30 trash bins in Hartford by surveillance video and inserting item into storm drain. It WAS NOT until May 31st that those two individuals were id’d By police as being MT and FD.
3) 8:10 pm: Security video obtained by PD shows FD stopping at Jefferson Crossing for ten minutes to check the mail.
4) 10:43pm: a Silver Alert is issued for JD.
———————————————
May 25th
1) 2:47 pm: New Canaan PD seize FDs cellphone after meeting with him briefly at his attorneys office.
———————————————
May 31st
1) Police identify MT and FD as the persons seen on surveillance video dumping trash into 30 bins in Hartford and inserting the item in storm drain.
2) Police also seize FDs black Ford F-150 SVT Raptor truck via search warrant and also obtain DNA samples from FD and MT

I hope that helps. They dumped the trash that evening she went missing. But police didn’t seize his phone until the day after and the police didn’t realize it was them dumping trash on May 24 until they collected all the surveillance video and they didn’t identify them until May 31st as being those individuals.

Again y’all are awesome and doing great work. Hope this helps as the timeline is confusing.

I don't know these kids or really anything about NCCS, but as someone who went through a similarly traumatic situation at the same age as the Dulos kids, I am so happy that they're at a school that's making sure they feel safe and comfortable after their world was turned upside down. I really hope other schools look at how NCCS is handling the situation and follow their lead in terms of information sharing and trauma informed teaching and support when traumatic situations happen with their own students.
