In other words he didn’t pass the first time?

No, that isn’t necessarily true. Summer classes don’t = classes failed already. I took tons of classes in summer.

There was a lawsuit I posted a link to earlier that dealt with a plaintiff suing FD for a wronged business deal in which that plaintiff had given him close to a million dollars. That case is still pending and the plaintiff will likely not get his money back but perhaps some of that money went to funding these property taxes. I cant go back to my post right now to find link but you can find by going to ct.gov, and entering FD in civil/family cases, which will bring up his divorce, his case with GF, his case for an accident where he allegedly rear ended a woman and his case with this plaintiff.

"Not seeing how he was paying the taxes to keep them current with no cash coming in and no sales. If the person that found info about the land sale for $250,000 could post that it would be helpful as perhaps that was the source of cash to keep the taxes paid. Will report back when I piece it together but if cash was from a private source and no mortgage was filed (as I suspect) then not sure an answer will be forthcoming" RSSB.
I don't know anything about the $250,000 sale but I know that a lot of big RE developers establish separate entities such as LLCs for individual or similarly situated real estate holdings. Not to mention FD could have acquired some RE in his own name, particularly after JD moved to NC. Not all lenders are smart enough to blanket cover all of those assets in a security agreement or mortgage so it makes me wonder if he has anything else he can easily sell, albeit at a fire sale discount price.

Forgive me, you’re correct! That came out sounding very pompous......apologies:)

Hi everyone.
I took a break at WS after postng on the Watts and Kelsey Berruth/Patrick Frazee cases (in recent history). I live in NYC and the Dulos murder
is at the forefront of our local news.

We all thought Chris Watts and Patrick Frazee were incredibly dumb not to realize that CCTV and their cell phones tracked their every move.

What on earth was Fotis Dulos thinking that he could make 30 stops in a rich neighborhood to dump bloody trash in neighbors' trash bins without CCTV capturing that activity?

My questions to you are:
1. What do you think caused the loud bangs that the neighbors heard coming from Dulos' empty houses? Was he dismembering his wife's body?

2. Why did he make his kids waterski for up to 11 hours each day? Was it a control issue, bragging rights, or was he trying to secure an athletic scholarship for their college?

3. Why does he and his mistress have the same patch of missing hair centered above their foreheads? Is that a sign of drug abuse?

I don't see how the victim ,the mother, could have done anything differently. She moved out w/ the kids to a secret location (or not as
we may learn), filed for divorce, and got a restraining order.

In NYC, the maternal grandmother is highly regarded. She lives in a luxury building and contributes a lot to charity. She is 80-85 yrs old.
Thank heavens that she was savvy enough to hire armed guards to protect the grandkids. She lost her husband and now her daughter.

The housing market is failing in NYC. We have seen men and women jump out of the luxury condos that have been on the market for a few years.

Fotis Duos has about 5 multimillion dollar homes that are sitting on the market unsold. The financial stress must be incredible.

The billionaires in the Hamptons can't sell their mansions.

A malignant narcissist who is having marital and financial problems
can end up a killer.

imo

Ah no apologies and not pompous. And for all we know he could have failed them.

The fact that I am on this website makes me feel guilty at times. I LOVE a good crime case, yet given that I live just 10 minutes away from New Canaan, I feel so incredibly sad for Jennifer Dulos and her young children. I suspect she fell for the charms of Fotis Dulos....big accomplished muscular waterskier, great looking man,big shot builder, charismatic for sure. I don't get the sense that she was necessarily the type that commanded male attention. She met him and HE realized that SHE came from a father that was highly successful and had significant means. If I were a person of great wealth, I would warn my children of people like Fotis Dulos. There are five beautiful children that were born to Jennifer Dulos who are suffering incredibly right now. I was in Manhattan today for business on the Upper East side and I wondered where these poor kids were living with their grandmother...probably not far away...looking out a window...wondering about mommy. I can't believe they haven't found her yet. I pray those beautiful children can be sheltered and incredibly loved by their grandmother and any other significant adults going forward. That's all that matters at this point.

This story is common. A respectable woman living a respectable life with a respectable husband and then she is dead. With 3 comments, you probably don't have to worry too much about falling into the "loving a good crime story" scenario. As for the rest of us, we're just curious, and we like to understand how this could have happened given all the stops and plugs, courts and lawyers, police and schools, and still she is gone. What needs to change?

Were the loud banging sounds confirmed by LE to have come from FD’s house?

Maybe someone hit JD with the car that had an insurance claim on it. Like intentionally mowed her down in her driveway. Almost like how FD’s mother died.

Yes, NextDoor is in the neighborhood but I don't feel comfortable discussing what my neighbors are saying on a closed registration platform.

Further anything said is purely an opinion and that isn't what WS is about due to the TOS requirements. Think about it, how would you feel if you are chatting away on ND and someone unknown to you is screenshotting your comments and posting them without your knowledge on WS?

Maybe others differ but I would never do it and its the same way I wouldn't screenshot a text and post or send that to someone else not part of the convo - even though this gets done all the time in our phone driven world. Personal choice and MOO COMPLETELY.

I totally understand. I respect that entirely. It was wrong of me to suggest sharing what people are discussing in a private platform. I apologize.

I'm caught up now, back home from a trip.

A post here really got to me. I'm sorry I don't remember her name, but she is new and was/is a teacher at the children's school and knew Jennifer, the kids and Fotis. She relayed how kind she was, devoted to her children, active in the school, but that Jennifer had lost a lot of weight, was quiet and always seemed to be frightened and nervous the last couple of years. It just made me so very sad. A good person who didn't deserve any of this fear and horrific treatment from her husband, the gas lighting, the abuse, disrespect.... I wish she had never met the 🤬🤬🤬. If only. She deserved a lot better. It's beyond tragic. Her poor children who loved her. I know they will be well cared for, with much counseling and love, but the pain and scars will never go away.

As for MT, if I stated what I really thought of that ghastly woman, I'd have a long TO.
And may FD rot in hell till the day he dies.

It's a fit like fatal attraction, except this time the husband sided with the mistress.

Wahackme is a horrible street name

Wahackme (originally the road was named Mackemo)is a Native American word and a derivative of Wachamene (a sachem of the time). Mackemo (another sachem) was one of the signers of the deed to the land sold to Roger Ludlow. The name got butchered over time. Wachamene sold land in Westchester.

I think that the NY papers said a neighbor said their dog and neighborhood dogs started barking in early morning hours (5am?) the day
Jennifer Doulas went missing. The nieghbor heard banging sounds coming from an empty house that Fotis renovated and had for sale but not the house he was living in w/ his mistress and her daughter.

Yes, big nut indeed! I believe it’s been stated that his declared income in 2018 was $98,000..

That may be his personal income, but the taxes are likely paid by the Fore Group, so the taxes don't come out of his personal income

Maybe like Michael Peterson in Durham, NC, Fotis committed the same crime twice.
But I think Fotis' mom did not have a life insurance policy.
The garage door was up in JD's rental house. I think she was ambushed in the garage by her husband.

Yeah, he may have sided with MT but she still seems like the bunny boiling sort...

I don't know why this is bothering me so much tonight, but I can't get it out of my head. In the description of the guest house that FD's company built for JD's parents, it mentions that they "...were luckily introduced to the best high end builder Fore Group...". Besides the extremely poor grammar in the ad, the deception is driving me crazy. Obviously, Mr. and Mrs. Farber weren't "luckily introduced" to this company as if it was some wonderful coincidence.

Really, this is nothing important, I just can't get it out of my mind. It makes me very wary of any advertising!!

Modern Guest Pavilion built by high end builder - Fore Group Inc.

So she met him, he was a builder, her parents hired him to build the guest house pavilion and then he was suitable to marry? He just needed a feather in his cap.? Did his investments dry up when his father in law died, including people who would buy his venture real estate properties?

What a lovely site that is. The guest pavillion is a bit... stark... and, um, missing something, but the site is truly lovely. Sigh.

Did LE confirm the garage was up?

Yep! Since his mom’s death went away without any legal issues, maybe they ran her down and then realized they couldn’t say it was an accident because they had no business being there to begin with.

Is Michael Petersen the one who pushed his wife down the stairs? And lady friend of his, too? Real creepy looking guy.

FYI for those wondering about the banging sound and how it fits in the timeline and precisely where the banging occurred(the bolded below is from the Stamford Advocate from page)

“The scene was quiet Thursday outside 61 Sturbridge Hill Road in New Canaan, where neighbors said state police had searched on Wednesday. The property of the 7,000-square-foot home, listed at $4.8 million, is still being developed. A trailer with Fore Group’s name on the side and a metal dumpster remain on the property.

One neighbor said the loud sounds of metal banging on the property woke someone up in his home during the early morning hours of May 25 — the day after Jennifer Dulos was reported missing. The man said the sound led neighborhood dogs to start barking. He said police have been to the neighborhood three times in the past two weeks.”

So the banging occurred the morning after she disappeared and on a property being developed by Fore Group. Hope that’s helpful. Y’all are all awesome!

I bet we haven't heard half the dumb things they've done.

Stay tuned for more evidence of their not-so-meticulous-ness.

I still think her husband and his girlfriend were meticulous in their planning. They made a rookie mistake - they couldn't let go of their phones for even a couple of hours while they left the evidence in 30 different locations, only 5 of which were retrieved. She'll say that she was afraid of him, that he made her do things, play the femme fatale, but her phone was with him every step of the way when they got rid of the body.
