If this plays like other cases my guess is that the NCPD/State Police would provide periodic updates to the family but not on all case sensitive matters in my experience. Its oftentimes a very frustrating process for the family as they see LE working (or not) on the case yet they feel like they know little. Some Depts have family liason officers who are trained to interface with the family for the duration of the case but these are unusual. The goal of LE is work with the State Proseutor to put together the strongest case possible. My suspicion is that if Mrs. Farber and her legal team were not satisfied with the efforts of LE that the press would be made aware of such dissatisfaction IMO. We have heard nothing but praise in the 2 public statements made by Mrs. Farbers representative for LE thus far. Time will tell.
And we know GF would likely fight if she didn't think things were being handled properly.

Longtime law enforcement officers say even those who commit murders that are well thought out make critical mistakes because they panic when the actual killing takes place. (Not that I think this was well thought out!)

They overestimate their own brilliance and underestimate the skills of people who make a living solving crimes.

(I may never stop shaking my head over criminals dividing evidence into 30 bags and hopscotching along in a car dropping them in random cans, almost waving at the cameras while having a cigarette. Drunk? Stoned? One has to wonder.)

I can see these two nutcases realizing they left evidence behind at the house, then running out to pitch it in the reservoir.

LE searching that area today makes me think the ho put them onto something there. (At least I got a little break from hating Patrick Frazee as I waited for news.)

I am so with you on these same thoughts. It kinda gives KK a break.

Notice I'm saying that the public records provide no support to explain how he was paying the taxes and keeping it all current. Most towns have a July tax payment due I believe (have to check Farmington). Will be interesting to see if the next payment is made on time while he is in jail. e.g., Jefferson Crossings annual tax is $41, 068 of which he has paid 1/2.
I believe CT is either annually or twice a year for taxes, depending on the town. If annually, it can be January or July. If twice a year, it's both. I've lived in seven towns/cities in my time in CT, and unless things are changed, there is a good chance he'll owe something in July.

"Not seeing how he was paying the taxes to keep them current with no cash coming in and no sales. If the person that found info about the land sale for $250,000 could post that it would be helpful as perhaps that was the source of cash to keep the taxes paid. Will report back when I piece it together but if cash was from a private source and no mortgage was filed (as I suspect) then not sure an answer will be forthcoming" RSSB.
I don't know anything about the $250,000 sale but I know that a lot of big RE developers establish separate entities such as LLCs for individual or similarly situated real estate holdings. Not to mention FD could have acquired some RE in his own name, particularly after JD moved to NC. Not all lenders are smart enough to blanket cover all of those assets in a security agreement or mortgage so it makes me wonder if he has anything else he can easily sell, albeit at a fire sale discount price.

Detectives speak with girlfriend of missing Connecticut mother’s estranged husband: authorities

Barnini Chakraborty
Detectives on Thursday met with Michelle Troconis, whose boyfriend is Fotis Dulos, estranged husband of the missing Connecticut mom Jennifer Dulos, law enforcement officials say.
....
Law enforcement officials said Thursday that Troconis and her lawyer, Andrew Bowman, met with detectives at his Westport office, though they declined to offer specifics of the meeting.
....
The news of the Troconis' meeting came a day after a Connecticut judge ordered Fotis Dulos to stay away from his five children, who are in New York City with their maternal grandmother.

Yes, just checked. Ditto for NC.

After learning about Fulos’ first marriage and divorce, it made me realize that he was married in January of 2013 when he ran into Jennifer twice at the airport in Colorado. One year later, when he emailed her wanting to get together, he was still married. He filed for divorce in March after emailing Jennifer on January 13th. The divorce was final in July and Fotis married Jennifer a month later. Wow.

‘Sometimes the best in life is right at your doorstep. They say you can't find a man sitting on your couch. Well, I beg to differ. I was home, back in New York, and an email came to me, one year after re-meeting him, he was looking for me, was living just two miles from me downtown, he wanted to get together. We celebrate the anniversary of the email – January 13, 2004. Now, 8 years later, seven plus years of marriage, 5 kids, 5 moves, and some pets. Here we are.’

Jennifer wrote the above. Impressions from Jan. 9 to Jan. 13
Court Docs: Estranged husband of missing woman was married once before
Somehow I get the feeling he was stalking her at the 2nd airport meeting and the fact that he was now living "two miles away" when he emailed her was not coincidental either.

Totally agree and who knows if there is more RE out there in the name of other LLCs. But the properties that LE has been visiting are in the name of FORE Group, LLC with the exception of the Farmington main residence which is the name of FD and JD.

I suppose with no snow or accidents a little over an hour.
Anyone find it sorta odd that the kids were all going to NYC that day? FD was supposed to have the kids over Memorial Day weekend. So they made the trip to NYC for Friday night, just to turn around and meet up with dad Saturday morning? Wonder if there was something specific that made her want to be with her mom that night with the kids.

Pondering aloud, no conclusions. JMO.

FD wouldn't be paying taxes on the house he was currently residing in with MT as it was reported in MSM that it was in foreclosure right?? It's the other properties that it sounds like would be coming due. Am I getting that correct?

Opinions wanted: Is there any plausible reason they would wait until Tuesday, the next court date, to press additional charges? Or do we think they still just don't have proof beyond a reasonable doubt?
I think they're holding a LOT back and crossing all their t's and dotting all i's. And although some info has slipped through, really very little. They have done a great job keeping the investigation under tight wrap.

All the properties would have taxes due in July in Farmington.

My own speculation was that JD had two appointments in NYC and planned to bring the kids to GF's home so they could spend some time together before the weekend.
