and would likely be doing it again in the future had his plan worked out - IMO. that's just heartless but I think he had a depth of hatred for her leaving him the way she did JMO. I don't think he got over it and it just simmered for 2 years - what triggered it? I believe it was the financial information he was going to have to finally give up. all speculation.
I don't think he would be thinking about the kids. I think he would be glowing with satisfaction knowing he's literally waterskiing over her dead body.

Search for Missing New Canaan Mom Enters 19th Day

Interesting comment IMO - bbm and snipped- is he posturing for a plea? Or does he not think there is enough to charge his client with anything else. Wouldn't a jury hear the tampering and other charges??

Pattis' law firm released a statement on Saturday saying in part, “I caution the world at large that things are rarely as they appear early on in a sensationalized investigation like this one. The rush to judgment stops now as does the conviction by innuendo. If necessary, we’ll let a jury decide what happened here."
You see what a control freak and narcissist gaslighter FD and his attorney are in their PR strategy. "If necessary, WE'LL let a jury decide what happened here."

Because, of course, Pattis and his client FD call the shots about who gets decision making authority and control of this narrative. Also, it's because FD's such a forthcoming open guy and so innocent that, although it's absurd and shameful that anyone would even accuse the poor guy based on no evidence apart from a Farber vendetta to steal the kids and take FD down, FD and his attorney might just agree to let the jury decide what happened here." Also because for sure FD is not going to honestly tell anyone what happened here. So maybe he'll just smear the prosecution, the victims, and the Farber family, and then just let the jury decide. Because FD gets to decide who decides. It's up to him really. FD's still in control. Capisce?

I noticed his voice shaking as well, but the guy is a great attorney. As @gitana1 said at some point, he turned a bond hearing into an opening statement. He knows what he's doing.
For my money Pattis was more than a bit off his game yesterday (vs other vintage Pattis performances I have witnessed!) and I wonder also just how up to speed and prepared he was for the appearance? His usual consitutional law sound bites we saw in court have all be seen previously in other cases and he usually uses those sound bites as distractions or when he is thinking IMO based on watching him in action previously. His performance outside court with reporters seemed cranky, somewhat undignified and petulant IMO and not remotely professional (although it was probably par for the course for Pattis).

He is a worthy adversary, usually smart, street fighter and can throw down with the best of atty's of his ilk but watching him yesterday he seemed more than a bit off. I really wonder if it was not gaining access to FD 401K acct for payment or the fact that the State's Atty didn't take the bait in some of the back and forth in court. IDK but IMO that wasn't Pattis at his 'best'.

Given Pattis hunger for money, I wonder if he walks if murder charges are brought if he believes that FD can't pay the bill? You also have to wonder what that legal bill just for the current charges will be as didn't he have 4-5 people with him in court yesterday? Wonder if he was billing the newbie legal intern at $350/hr too? If so, FD 401K won't last long!

I also wonder about his strategy of saying that he has accounted for FD whereabouts for 'most of the time - think this was the phrase he used in court, but correct me if wrong!) on the missing date. Why do this as a Defense atty when you know LE resources are working 24/7 to figure out exactly where FD and MT were on the ENTIRE missing date as well as a the window before and after the missing date?

They've visited and collected statements and video, but they haven't searched it like this.

He is. And he is not rattled one bit. Not one tiny bit.

If his voice is shaking it's because of a condition.

This man is highly experienced, used to murder cases and loves what he does.

Ya gotta love seeing him hurrying into the grocery store.
Probably didn’t even know where to begin...”a cart, what’s a cart for.”

"Do I push this thing or do I pull this thing?"

Will try to summarize later tonight. I was following via twitter feed from reporters in the room. The way it ended was with Judge saying that she wouldn't rule at the hearing but at a later date. @gitana1 I always am curious for your take on these Family Law issues so if you get a chance to take a look at some of the published statements made by the GAL in yesterdays hearing I wonder what your take is? Given his role in the proceedings I thought some of his responses were a bit in the 'fence sitting' category?! JMO.

That's what I'm looking for. Can you or someone else link me?

(Also, GAL's try to stay super neutral whenever possible. So if they take a strong stance it's usually based on compelling evidence).

It likely is. The stupid stuff is everywhere. It's why I avoid the woods here. That, and the mosquitoes.

All of mine have been 13 in 8th. I think birthdays and age requirements to start K in CT would have an impact on this. Who knows?

In CT, the cut off is not your age entering Kindergarten but depends on month of birth so it is possible to be 4. Therefore you can be 13 graduating 8th grade and entering 9th grade.
