“parahor” This made me laugh so hard I had to finally sign in after lurking for months and months.

I don’t mean to make light of a sad situation at all. It was just a funny moment that made me laugh for a minute (or ten).

Thanks. And is there parking along the trail or is there a parking lot that walkers enter the trail from?
Google Maps
Looks to be a walking trail around the edge and only one possible access that a truck could come close. Looks like it is to open and well used (playing fields etc) to dispose of her in daylight hours.

Seeing people going in and out of

Definitely searching.
That's a weird place to be searching. You'd think they would be closer to the river.

Oooh, I didn't notice that large body of murky looking water before. And we don't know for a fact he disposed of her during the daylight hours.

He only had to murder her during the daylight hours. I still think he could have potentially moved the body at night/early AM, JMO.

Not so sure that MT won't stay in the picture, at least until this goes to court. She may not want him to share what he knows just like he doesn't want her to share what she knows. jmo
But, I think FD would screw himself by sharing what he knows. Don’t think it’s the same for MT.

I kind of have a good feeling about this, much better than the pond itself (I couldn't figure out how he could dump without being noticed). Cautiously optimistic.

@happyperson You are not allowed to do anything except sit there and watch for the rest of the day.

Fisher meadows trail is about 1 mile south of the Avon ski pond that is on Old Ponds road and was searched previously

I'm not aware of a previous search at Fisher Meadows

ETA: I should have said 1 mile as the crow flys not per driving route
Google Maps
- Is this it (searching today)?

It would also be an area he's familiar with without being his home turf.

spouse = significant other
she was his common-law spouse
they lived together
Common law requires 7 years of cohabitation and other requirements, but you are correct, do not have to be a spouse to claim Battered Women’s Syndrome.

There is no common law marriage in CT.

It's bizarre to me that he keeps commenting on the specifics of the timeline -- "We think he was still at his home after 9 am" and "It may have been someone else in the truck." These nebulous comments indicate that Pattis either 1) has not asked his own client about these issues; or 2) doesn't trust what his client is telling him. In terms of public relations neither of these 2 scenarios helps his client. All strange to me.

NP is waiting to see what they have on FD before he commits to specifics.

Has anybody noticed that attorney Pattis likes to begin his statements with “it’s my understanding ....”
For example: “It’s my understanding that she sat a polygraph saying she didn’t know what was in any of those bags.”
I find that I use that qualifier whenever I say something that I think is true.....but really not sure and I want to give myself a little room to back pedal if I’m called on it....
Absolutely
