That’s what I was thinking as well. MT doesn’t want to go to jail. Her best possible defense is to deny knowledge of anything pre-planning and if she did learn of anything after the murder that FD threatened her and her daughter and she was too scared to approach LE to try and minimize the damage? Tampering with evidence and hindering the prosecution in the 1st degree—maybe just try to minimize a possible sentence?
unless of course FD turns on her.... would be an interesting turn of events - I know, not likely.. JMO

I think her lawyer is smart to stay quiet.

If she isn't going to turn on FD, staying quiet will benefit her. It's up to the prosecutor to prove her involvement and she doesn't need to help them.

If is IS going to turn on FD, staying quiet keeps that info from him.

Or something as simple as taking the weekend off? It was Father's Day. I know most are not fans but he is a real person with a real life. He has children and dogs just like the rest of us. LOL.
Sure. Why not.

But I think given the chance to do something publicly, he would do it any day of the week.

These cases have been prosecuted for decades, some, well before the advent of DNA science.

With the forensic evidence here, I have no doubt that they’ll be able to prove Jennifer is dead.

They’ll be able to build a strong circumstantial case here, thanks in part to FD’s late night trash dump.

Now, it’s all about proving that FD killed her.

Body or not, I’m not worried.
Can he be convicted of murder if other scenarios remain open in addition to the simplest theory that he did everything himself (e.g. hiring a hitman or having an accomplice)?

Another question for Verified Attorneys (thank y’all for always answering all of our questions no matter how busy y’all are):

If LE believed from the suspected multiple blood stains and suspected blood spatter in her garage, and after finding her abandoned vehicle between 7 pm and 8 pm after she was reported missing and a Silver Alert was issued: why didn’t LE go straight to FDs address? She was believed to be in the terms of the Arrest Warrant (after NC entered her home and found no Jennifer and garage evidence they immediately called CT Major Crime Squad and several other agencies became involved) a victim of a serious physical assault. Wouldn’t they have had the right to go there? He is her estranged husband and I have no doubt LE was made aware of how contentious the estrangement was.

I get that he could have an attorney there and that could possibly have kept them from entering the home but I mean she was believed to have been wounded in an assault at the very least. I just don’t understand why LE wasn’t dispatched immediately to his home even if they had to involve Farmington or Hartford LE or some other agency.
Keep in mind they stated they had been following him. Can LE do that on their own without a warrant?
And they did go to his house less than 24 hours after she went missing. My gut feeling tells me that cops talk to one another. Wouldn't surprise me if NC called Farmington early on. Plus, they had the state police on it early on. Pretty cool that they wasted little time, IMO.

Who's more guilty, MT or Krystal Kenney from Kelsey Berreth's case? The latter will get off lightly and I'm afraid MT might be even luckier as far as prison time, but there's no sign (to me) that she has given LE anything of value yet.

We didn't know about Krystal's involvement until Frazee's hearing and then, all of a sudden we knew a tremendous amount of the evidence and details of the deal she made. That deal was needed ASAP to save Kelsey's baby from the Frazees.

LE will use whatever MT said or refused to admit to their advantage, I feel sure. I'm glad FD's lawyer's comments haven't goaded them into fighting back in the media. I admire quiet confidence, don't you?

If LE doesn't lob the ball back at them, the lawyer will run out of garbage to spin.

Yes, law enforcement could follow him without a warrant.

What they couldn’t do without a warrant, is put a GPS device on his vehicle.

Her attorney is a horse of a different color. Now, he could be a bulldog, but he is quiet and refined. I watched him when he was getting her in the car surrounded by the hounding media. He was very dignified and quietly parted the masses to get in his car. No bluster. MOO.

'Vicious Piece of Scum': Connecticut Lawyer Getting Hate Mail for Defending Fotis Dulos | Connecticut Law Tribune

“They are calling me a vicious piece of scum,” he said.
But those who know him say Pattis is a ferocious fighter for his clients, and that Dulos has one of the best criminal defense attorneys in the region.

“He’s refreshingly unorthodox. He is willing to go out on a limb, far out on a limb, for his case,” said longtime New Haven attorney Hugh Keefe, a partner with Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante. “He is very passionate and he’s in the tradition of the famed Bill Kunstler. He does not feel it’s his job to make the prosecutor or judge feel good.”
Patti must also not feel it's his job to make himself look smart.....in the tradition of the infamous Jose Baez.

ITA with the WSleuthers that posted regarding the Mallard Lake Road, Pound Ridge, NY property belonging to JDs family or surrounding areas as a likely spot for JDs remains. It’s essentially a 7 mile drive or 16-20 minute drive from New Canaan.

I do not even LE having to study all those videos for all of those vehicles and all of the places besides Pound Ridge and New Canaan. At least we know most Hartford video is covered by C4. Giving all my good thoughts and prayers and karma and whatever else to find that one video or tip today that leads to Jennifer’s remains.

If it is confirmed by LE that the employee doesn’t work on weekends and was not there on Saturday, 25 May, than who was making the loud banging metal noises super early, 5 am on a Saturday?!! I don’t think FD does the manual labor so I can think of only one thing he was doing.

MOO
I've read that many of the skilled tradesmen on his job sites resented FD cause he would appear in his designer clothes and shoes and tiptoe through the mud to get to the homes.
Most General contractors wear everyday casual clothes and go out of their way not to act 'superior'. In fact I knew a Gen. Contractor
who used to get a new car every 2 yrs (Mercedes) but he always
bought the same color (light blue) , hoping the workers didn't realize it was a brand new car, cause he didn't want the
workers to think he was rolling in money.
Also neighbors around Avon/Farmington have mentioned in msm that FD seemed to have gobs of money and there were
always whisperings of where it came from.

Or at least not legally do, but lojacks are used by PIs quite a bit.

I know a case where a local war veteran has a son up in Boston who has substantial assets. He met a Russian woman he wanted to marry, and Howard had a PI put a GPS on the vehicle, as the son was wondering why his fiance was only available for dinner etc one or two nights a week. Turns out she had other boyfriends that the PI found out with a tracking device. Sorry for the diversion, but just to say law enforcement and PIs don't necessarily follow the law.

If he is ever charged with murder and if there is a doubt by the jury that he did it, he’ll escape the charge. I am one who is not convinced yet that he will even be charged with murder. And if he is, I am still worried he wouldn’t be convicted. Need to know the evidence first (circumstantial or otherwise). Finding the body would change things.

MT likely does not have as much to offer as KKL did, and she's not currently facing a murder charge. However, if that were to change, I would expect her lawyer to encourage her to cooperate fully in exchange for whatever deal he can negotiate. MOO

A private investigator isn’t subject to the same rules as that of law enforcement.

Had law enforcement illegally put a GPS device on FD’s vehicle, there would be hell to pay.

Any evidence (from that) would be thrown out, and the case could be put in jeopardy.

I don’t think for a second that happened here. They either had a warrant to attach a device like that, or they followed him the old fashioned way.

Yep I don't think they intentionally wanted to be observed discarding anything

I think he was sorely mistaken about the lack of cameras if that was in fact FD's thinking according to this article...

The events of May 24, the last day Jennifer Farber Dulos was seen alive, are a key element of the investigation into her disappearance

The trip, they say, was captured on the city’s extensive array of video cameras. Investigators have recovered video from Hartford police showing a vehicle that matches Dulos’ driving down the street and a man resembling Dulos — wearing a light colored T-shirt — dropping multiple garbage bags into trash cans.

JMO
And that man in that shirt in that truck picking up FD's mail from his mailbox. Brilliance, thy name is Dulos!

Sure, but even if it was just a mistake that they brought their phones, you still have to ask if throwing away bloody clothes in trash bins in Hartford is even sane. So much easier and effective to soak the stuff in gasoline and put a match to it. Doesn't sound like it was a lot of stuff either. Hell, I have a BBQ smoker that I could easily add some sponges and clothes to. No one would suspect any ill intent. And it would turn into ash in 20 minutes. It was one thing when we thought it might include body parts but I think we're past that now. It makes no sense as a way of disposing sponges.

Rational minds make sensible decisions; rage-filled minds, not so much.

If criminals were as smart as they think they are none would ever be caught, yet the great majority of murders are solved.
