When a crackhead is a main source of information and no pun intended 'cracks' the case....ugh..

Yeah, wild isn't it?

I hope JD's family isn't following this gruesome news.

  • #902
At FD's and MT's 1st court appearance, it sure appeared to me that they both were and/or had been very recently under the influence of something. JMO

Yes, agree. IMO. Do LE/court officials take notice of that kind of thing? I guess it would be investigated if they were users.

  • #903
Just think they are circling the wagons and exerting maximum pressure on MT in particular. JMO!

Just went back to read the arrest documents yet again looking for info on a couple of things and I found something I don't think has been discussed yet. Nothing major but a curiousity IMO.

FD has a tat on his abdomen!

No picture, just simple notice. So, FD IMO must have been subject to strip search to get this info. So glad the police got to him so early in the case and it was all because the friends reported to Police so quickly IMO!
Wonder if they took blood for drug test at time of arrest. And on MT also?

  • #904
Thinking. ..Remember when JD was a big drug addict? I figured FD was throwing out all kinds of horrible accusations to besmirch JD good name, and tie into His Gone Girl nonsense. This idiot FD has been projecting his drug habit onto JD the entire time! So,my question is who's FD's dealer? MT? Or is FD hers?
Wonder if it was guy we are looking for named "Fudge"? Wouldn't that bring this sad tale full circle!

I'm not making light of this tragedy but just sitting here thinking about what a wild and crazy tale this has turned out to be.

  • #905
So this makes at least 2 witnesses on Albany Ave. that can help sink FD and MT.
Knife finder man and the woman who witnessed the trash dumping who was interviewed by a reporter. There may be even more we don't know about since his route was said to be 4 miles long.
Also in going back and re-reading early am today, I found a mention of a neighbor on
Mtn. Spg. having video from both their yard and
doorbell area that 'may' show FD traveling to
80 Mtn. Spg.

I think it’s common in cases like this for LE to take photos when suspects are arrested. Looking for any evidence of a struggle.

I guess it depends... the Grant Amato trial this week near me never even mentioned that
suspect had been caught stealing propofol from
his hospital employer. Judge said it couldn't be mentioned. Obviously the drug stealing was for his own use.
And seeing how he was an 'addictive personality' I thought it could have played into
his defense.
Also we've learned here on WS, not all juridictions take a blood sample upon arrest.

I am wondering about this, though. I would think LE would have to talk to the kids/family to corroborate some of the evidence found, specifically the shirt? Maybe the pillow? A knife?

I know we can't sleuth the kids but I will say, they must have some clue at this point that there mom is likely the victim of murder. And likely at the hands of there own father.

Unfathomably sad.

This reminds me of the fact that he had that poison ivy. I wonder what his excuse was for that? It must tie in, IMO.

I am back to the boat/water theory.
Wonder where his bestie KM kept his boat? Was it trailered usually or docked?
IF JD body was in a boat it doesn't necessarily mean that she was dumped in the water. Right? One could also take a boat to a remote location, tie boat to shore, drag and dump body in woods, (get poison ivy?), get back in boat, (mop up?) and go home. Body than would be on remote land.

Just to throw out some thoughts.

IMO

They also noted he had a case of poison ivy so they likely checked him out carefully for any signs of a struggle, scratches, etc.

I'm not making light of this tragedy but just sitting here thinking about what a wild and crazy tale this has turned out to be.
I'd think Fudge doesn't want to be found. Surprised knife finder would even bring him up. Makes me think that's not his nick-name. If knife finder is being honest, I'd think fudge would be pissed. Assuming fudge is his nick-name, then LE would be able to find him. They usually know who all the drug dealers are (at least on tv shows, they always seem to know). If they did find fudge, LE would be able to squeeze all sorts of info from him in exchange for not making a big deal about selling crack. Finding the murder weapon would be a major development.

and don't overlook Fudge, the knife collecting drug dealer.
My, what you learn, reading these forums......
Had not even thought about dumpster divers in the hood. Hopefully LE put the word out to all divers, please come forward bc we need your help. The mistrust is great between residents and LE but maybe Fudge and others could put aside their mutual distrust this one time to find a white mother of 5 kids. Rich, white, just stop for a minute people. Who cares. Only way to stop ugly crimes like this butcher is to snitch. You’re not snitching on your own. You're snitching to stop a predator. It’s not a drug war. Not a john killing one of his girls.
There are five kids here. Put aside any feelings other than 5 kids who are now orphans. Tell Fudge to come forward bc LE will give him immunity to talk about the knife.

This is a Memory Test for all our Super Sleuthers:
Where have we previously heard about the
blue and white striped linens w black stripes?
It's in this story somewhere but I haven't been able to find it.
I've already checked the arrest warrant- no luck.
either I have esp or I dreamed it (not) but I'm
positive it's been mentioned before.

Great questions, @HopeForTheBest . On the celebration being in NC, I would assume that because it was a school night, having the kids in Farmington would be out of the question. Every time I get stuck with weekday meetings and appointed in the Hartford area in the late afternoon/early evening, I have we to budge for two hours just to get there.
As usual, you guys have been smart and busy today! I love the updates and the court document! Great work! I had a long drive today and started musing.

1) All this time, we’ve been thinking about this mostly as having been just FD and then MT on the trash-can run. What if we rewind and see if and where another person might have helped such as by moving her car? I wonder where that person and his phone were that day after the breakfast meeting?

2) Based on all we’ve seen from FD’s own words and court records, FD is all about FD, not about helping others just to be kind. What was in it for him to be so insistent about trying to get the lawyer’s wife to see him? (I know there’s a separate thread for him but since this is really about FD, I thought it ought to go here. If not, please let me know for the future and please accept my apologies.) I don’t see FD confiding in anyone BUT if each had something dire on the other, perhaps. Are there any recently disturbed earth areas at that guy’s house? Ponds out back?

3) Also, do we know why that celebration was held at JD’s the Wednesday before she disappeared (is that right?). It was a Greek traditional celebration, I think? Was that usual then at that time to have FD there at her house? If it was the Greek event and he had the kids (with the GAL rep there) on Wednesday nights, why were they at JD’s house and not his? I wonder why and when it was decided to have that event there. Could he possibly have engineered that so he could scope out the current surroundings such as if new cameras were visible or to listen for information on schedules such as hers and the maid’s?

4) That banging at the Sturbridge house early the next morning still is on my mind. In construction, bulldozers are used to compact the building pads, etc., but in some places closer to a structure, those are too heavy so they use bobcats, track-mounted vehicles like on ATVs, and scrapers with blades. People who do that all the time don’t have a lot of fits and starts but someone like FD would as I doubt he does much compaction himself. Also, with all the snow you guys get and the long driveways, surely there’s a decent-sized snow plow or blade there or not far. Someone who’s inexperienced at scraping especially with no snow probably would make metal scraping noises. I keep thinking about how the farmers here scrape the concrete barn and garage floors to clean them and then sometimes power wash them.

5) I kept thinking about a press and now I’m thinking what about weights like for exercise being dropped onto something to compress it? I don’t know why a person would do that but smaller is easier to hide or dispose of than something larger.

Feel free to ignore or dismiss these thoughts. I think of them as catalysts for you guys to brainstorm further!

Have a good night/day, and thank you all for all you do!

P.S. I believe JD mentioned in a blog post that FD read/liked The Art of War by Sun Tzu. I haven’t read it but know of it. Anyone who has read it, does this give us helpful insights?

*All MOO.*

I can't believe this circus.

The fact that it revolves around such a beautiful soul.
Jennifer. Please shine your light on this sad world.

It's not unusual for LE to PAY for information.
Or to reward the informants in some other way. I have a strong suspicion LE has gotten
all they need to know about Albany Ave. and
their inhabitants and visitors.

Could you have seen it in a picture maybe? In her home or his or one of his for sale homes? Just throwing out ideas.
I do not recall previously hearing about it before - but that doesn't mean we didn't!
I would sure like to know what type of pillow it was.

I recall the written description, not photo.
I figured maybe it was one of the original
articles about the trash find, but I'm not finding it.
Could it have been redacted by LE?
