JD didn't have an interest in FORE so far as we are aware (owned solely by FD).

I've been wondering what would happen if GF won the civil action, FD didn't have the cash to pay and GF said she wouldn't settle for FORE assets (hard to value in a bad real estate market and pain to deal with in general due to time and cost to sell). The part of this case that I have to go back and look at is what @gitana1 was talking about last week or week before regarding GF returning to the civil court and increasing the amount of her claim amount as if I recall correctly there was some ability of the court to give protection to GF that the assets of FORE would be sufficient to cover her claim if she prevailed in the litigation. My explanation of this is probably incorrect but the court gave some protection to GF in one of the last motions if I recall correctly.

What might trigger the appointment of a receiver by the State to deal with the assets of FORE? Or, could the trade claims trigger the appointment of a receiver to settle their claims?

Or, would FD put FORE into bankruptcy in advance of all this happening to protect at least something of the assets? Bankruptcy is a tricky legal beast and my guess is that FD might want to avoid it due to discloure requirements that he seems to find troubling. But perhaps bankruptcy might be his only option if he think receivership will sell the assets for cents on the dollar? IDK. Roll the dice!

Hard to say but my guess is that none of this is impossible. Curious what the legal folks think is the most likely course of action for GF here or how FD might respond in advance of civil suit trial.

I don't know. Apparently Fore has liquid assets because GF did get an order allowing some to be frozen. Now shes's asking for more. I'm not sure it's available. if it is, she will get it frozen.

Fotis Dulos’s family court attorney Rich Rochlin says a glitch in the system forced criminal attorney Norm Pattis to withdraw as counsel for the custody case. Rochlin says Pattis is still very much involved in the criminal defense of Dulos. Rochlin will be counsel for civil case.
Pesky glitches!

Haven't been on this case for awhile. Just when I thought I heard it all- Is this guy trying to say she committed suicide and it's revenge against him?

Doesn't sound like it was a glitch afterall... misinformation or spin maybe? Doth protestest too much about the health of 'the team"? : }

Yeah IMO the glitch is FD’s zero bank balance. NP wants to get paid.

Jennifer Dulos case: Norm Pattis withdraws as divorce attorney, grandmother seeks sole custody

STAMFORD — It appears Fotis Dulos’ divorce strategy is changing, while his mother-in-law is seeking to solidify herself as the primary caregiver for his five children.

Norm Pattis filed a motion Tuesday to withdraw as Fotis Dulos’ divorce attorney, but will continue to represent him in the criminal proceedings where he is charged with tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution in his estranged wife’s disappearance.

Pattis said in his court filing that Fotis Dulos and co-counsel Richard Rochlin do not object to him withdrawing from the divorce case.

Pattis’ request comes one day after he and Rochlin withdrew their motion to suspend the divorce case. They had argued last month that the proceedings should be halted because Jennifer Dulos is not able to participate.

A trial attorney told me this isn’t surprising—that there was no need for an emergency hearing. The order says Troconis’ deposition will go forward in the future and any motions regarding it can be heard on the regular short calendar. @News12CT

In essence, Farber is asking the court to permit her to make legal decisions concerning the kids’ health, education & welfare. For example, schools & health care providers would likely ask Farber to demonstrate that she has the legal authority to act on their behalf. @News12CT

The other recent filing is from the mother of Jennifer Dulos, Gloria Farber. She was already granted physical custody of her five grandkids last week. Now she’s filed a motion for legal custody. @News12CT
