Sources said police haven’t found the missing carpet or mat that they believe either was taken from the back of Farber Dulos’ Chevy Suburban or from her New Canaan home. In interviews with The Courant Wednesday, two employees of the restaurant -- Milagro’s Restaurant on Albany Avenue -- said state police detectives went to the restaurant shortly after Memorial Day and asked them if they had seen a man place a piece of carpet against the outside wall of the restaurant on the evening of May 24 or if they had seen anybody take it after that.

The carpet or mat was left in close proximity to where investigators said they found bags of bloody evidence tied to Farber Dulos stuffed in trash bins along Albany Avenue – the same area where investigators believe a Hartford man removed a knife from a trash can. Sources said there is surveillance video of a man near Milagro’s walking near a black SUV and grabbing the dark piece of carpet or mat. The man can be seen walking to the corner of Milagro’s and leaning the mat or carpet against the restaurant wall near a trash can. The man then walked back to his vehicle.
The employees at Milagro’s said investigators visited the restaurant days after Farber Dulos disappeared and asked if they had seen a man place the mat or carpet up against the building, and if they had seen anyone take it. The Courant is not identifying the employees because they are possible witnesses in a criminal investigation.

The employees said the state police detectives then removed a garbage bag from a small garbage can the restaurant kept outside the restaurant on the sidewalk. They also thoroughly searched the two dumpsters located in a grassy area next to the restaurant.

Black SUV? When FD and MT were on their odyssey of stupidity, weren’t they driving his black pickup truck? Is the black SUV the Chevy Suburban that LE confiscated? I guess this means FD was on Albany Ave twice?

Remember someone asking about the possibility of their being private garbage service at the site? Directly next to the Spanish restaurant which shares the building with the store are two large trash dumpsters. There is also another trash can that the man with the bike is standing by. It looks a little different from the city ones but I can't really tell. Those "dumpsters" made me think. Going all the way back to the days of Manson and his girls dumpster diving for food...I don't think people call someone looking in a trash can a dumpster diver, doesn't that usually imply someone has climbed inside the dumpster and is moving things about as they dig? I could be wrong here but did LE, the media, or just us here call him a dumpster diver? Remember when we were discussing here why anyone would put a bloody pillow and knife in just a trash can? Or why someone like drug guy would just reach into a garbage can without being able to see what he was grabbing? Maybe that's because the pillow and knife weren't in a trash can but instead in one of these dumpsters. Maybe drug guy wasn't reaching blindly into a trash can but was fully inside the dumpster. Does anyone know if LE, the media, or if it was just us here that used the terms "dumpster diving" or "dumpster diver?" Because if it was said by LE or a quote from them was given to the media,meant I'd be willing to bet it was done to send a message to FD that we know it all...even what you put in the dumpster. Then again and according to Patti's, maybe there wasn't all these stops with bags deposited at various garbage cans, maybe it was just the dumpsters that had it all in them. Exactly. At the time I believe we were trying to figure out how private haulers in Hartford process their trucks. We also didn't have a good idea of how many of these private haul clients were on Albany. The wonderful pic from @thekirbyfamily answered some of these questions about the private haulers.

Dumpster diving in my mind (city person here!) refers to anyone that makes a practice of removing items from city or private trash cans or dumpsters. To me, its not the size of the can that matters but the practice of removing items from the trash vessel. Sometimes the larger dumpsters are more attractive to the divers because they are from commercial sources and can contain packaged goods and/or fresh food or other valuables. Diving in a smaller city trash can IMO wouldn't yield necessarily the same quality of goods but honestly who knows!

Edit: Went back and read the article again.

Not sure if its bad reporting but article refers to Black SUV and not Black Truck as being seen. So, maybe there were 2 trips down Albany at different times by FO or possibly someone else. Going with the reporting being ok then it looks like LE is looking for a black mat which most likely came either from FO or JD Black Suburban (these are just the black vehicles we are aware of) that was dropped off and placed against the side of the restaurant by a Black SUV.

FD has a black Suburban as does KM I believe (others posted about this previously).

How stupid is ponytail’s assertion that just because FD’s computer and devices were sending signals from 4 JC mean FD was the one using them. Seriously! His defense is so weak it’s ridiculous.

How about ponytail staying on record that FD didn’t find out about his wife’s disappearance until well after the alleged Albany outing. Come on! Like his kids didn’t call or text him asking him if he knew where she was...please!

Also, how does ponytail know what MT said during her visit(s) to Bowman’s office? His claim appears as if he knows what she said will help FD. Almost as if MT told FD what she said... hmmm. The point being they somehow communicated for him to suggest that this will help FD. Even if it wasn’t truthful (what she said during the meeting or what was conveyed to FD) it is concerning. Going back to re-read.

Re-read and yes, NP is clearly suggesting he knows what she said. FD and MT are not supposed to be communicating and Bowman hasn’t returned his calls, so please tell us, NP, how you know this tidbit.

Yeah. As much as I hate the guy it's silly to try to say he's unattractive. He's not close to just okay. He is a good looking guy. Or he would be if he wasn't a murderer.

I find the photo of him and JD that someone described as him allowing her to hug him as particularly telling and sad. He is a narcissist and had such disdain for his quiet, long-suffering wife.

But millions of women would've jumped to be with that person.

He repulses me but I think I can at least be objective enough to analyze him based on typical societal standards of beauty.

And just as you said, the hyped up mask would've made him particularly appealing to many women.

I'm guessing there were tells, however. Things that even when he was in full charm mode showed what he truly valued and hints of who he was.

He is just not my type-even without the murder. I can see why some women would be attracted, and of course, we knew that they were. And he knows it-you can see that when he is being interviewed by Sarah Wallace, and at other times, too

IF the reporting is correct then either there were 2 people dumping at different times or FO came back and instead of driving the Raptor was driving his Black SUV. But Hartford CCTV must have caught all this on camera! No wonder things seem a bit tense in Pattisville! MOO

It looked like things in marriage 1 must have been over for awhile as FO was actively pursing JD while still married to wife 1. I agree that when you look at the distribution of assets it looks like she gave more than she had to but perhaps she knew that it was what it would take to escape? IDK. She did move far far away from FO too! MOO

I don’t know-some men look to load up the bench long before both partners know, or think it’s over. But I do think that possibly JD had a thing for him in college, and he knew it. And when he decided that he needed a lifestyle change, he thought of her: the fabulously wealthy good looking girl who was a little sweet on him at Brown (I base this on some of her writings where she said she’d always liked him, and they tried to be “careful with each other” or something like that). She wasn’t a crime of opportunity for him, IMO-he plotted out this charm offensive.

Arrest warrant says that items were placed into VARIOUS trash receptacles and that the Truck was observed to stop 30 times. Was this for stop signs or lights? We don't know. But we do have the word VARIOUS to describe the can drops IMO. Is this more than 2 stops, more than 5 stops or more than 10 stops to deposit items in the trash cans?

Maybe FD used JD's vehicle to transport her in?? Murdered her in her garage, then loaded her body in the back of her Suburban and then got rid of the body and then left her vehicle at Waveny Park and had someone pick him up or he walked somewhere, etc. JMO
